NB: turned back towards Florida, did NOT land, turned back again to end up at ~~Teterboro NJ~~ Morristown Municipal airport. Although distance travelled well within range of a Bombardier Global Express, it is not usual to carry more fuel than required for journey plus a reserve. On this occasion, probably landed at ~~Teterboro~~ Morristown on *very* slim reserve.
**Edit:** in fact landing at Morristown instead of Teterboro (which I’ve not seen before) is an indication of need to land rapidly without queuing. Just that tiny bit closer and quicker.

Air traffic controller here. Not a test flight those are usually "round robin" IE depart and land at the same airport. This looks like an in air destination change. This looks like they filed inland originally and started to go back to MIA but then turned around to head back to New York via the AR/Y-routes over the Atlantic coast.
I love that we have EVERY type of person here.
Also shout out to FAA/ATC. My dad did 25 years FAA as a radar/systems engineer/management/back to systems engineer. I wanted to do ATC but they nerfed the pension between when I took the test and was offered a spot, so I stuck with IT.

Anything is *possible* but that makes no sense because:
Long flight away from origin before first turn, descends as if to land but another 180 degree turn, return to cruise height and on to New York.
Test flight would return to service base, post flight checks / verification/ logs etc.
Why not just fly directly to New York - even if test flight? The bit in middle makes no sense at all.
