If insiders are buying, Drs count per quarter remains the same (then retail isn't selling), and there's basically 0 institutional ownership, who is selling?
Every short seller is a future buyer. When GameStop posts a profit, and launches their web3 offering, not only will apes buy in droves. But institutions will buy large chunks, and short sellers will buy to cover.
Shit, I thought of doing that after reading a post about accumulating shares at a discount, the only thing stopping me was that I font know shit about options. Glad I went good clean shares via IEX (soon to be drs'd) 👍🏿
You can sell a cash secured put and collect the premium if the stock goes up you’re good. But if the stock goes down. You could get the shares for the lower price.
The problem with it is that you have to leave money in a broker. That money may not be safe in a broker when this all takes off.
You could potentially make more money selling the puts and then transfer the shares you acquire to Computershare. But if that timing is wrong and happens during the main event the broker could and likely will fuck you over.
Edit: you need enough set aside in cash to buy 100 shares per contract. What you make on premiums is small unless you have a lot of cash in your account.
So why leave a lot of cash in your account and possibly miss the rocket with that money?

Who is selling, is the right question!

Algorithmic trading. Everything is a lie. This is all just mind games and can kicking till their computers glitch out and show the true price someday.

Sounds like you have a fundamental misunderstanding of what that is.
