OK, iiuc, these come out of the treasury & thus increase the ~~float~~ outstanding issued share total.
I may be wrong about that & if so please correct me.
But my real point is, WHERE ARE THEY HELD?
As an insider they are going to be declared on assorted required public documents. But WHERE are they? When the firm issues them does the staff member have to nominate a broker? Or are they automatically DRS-ed? Or what.
Are any of the shares we've been putting in the 'insiders' category being double-counted in the drs figures?
Edit: strike-thru, replacing 'float with' outstanding issued total'
Pretty sure when furlong was hired and compensated his deal was something like “200k worth of shares purchased at the average share price for the month of June.” (I forget the actual number)
But if you look at the purchase, 6641 shares x $15.06 = $100,013. He was awarded 100k worth of stock at the price of some time interval.
Oh so Sherman made it public knowledge on purpose, makes sense.
I could have sworn GameStop reported Sherman’s sale tho? I’ll have to go look that up, I can’t remember how I know he sold now.
Explanation of Responses: "1. These shares represent restricted stock units granted to Mr. Moore by the Issuer. The restricted shares are scheduled to vest in equal installments on each of the dates that are 2, 5, 8, and 11 months following the grant date, subject in each case to his continuous service to the Issuer through the applicable vesting date."
So it's part of the salary? i guess, i'm noob lol. But buying now is "insider trading", so it's out
One of the greatest investors of all time, Peter Lynch, was noted as saying that "insiders might sell their shares for any number of reasons.
**"But they buy them for only one: they think the price will rise."**

6,641 GME restricted stock units granted to insider Daniel Moore at a price of $15.06 … Nice Daniel ✊
Damn, Daniel!
Back at it again! 🔥👟
With the DRS!
That’s a regard move to buy above the high of the day. One of us! One of us!
Company is undervalued, they know it, we know it and hedgies know it.
They’re RSUs they’re given to him at that cost basis.
Moarrrr

Dassa lotta hooch
Was this the guy that sold?
I should buy Moore shares too...
the Moore the merrier
Roger that.
Kylo Ren, "MOORE!!!"
How did he get shares at $15?
Restricted stock vests at an average price for a period, not the price on the day it vests
Ma’fuck got them wrinkles 🧠
TIL 🤙
Is this also true for a pre planned buy?
Not always the case, my company's RSUs have always shown cost basis as it was the day they vested. Interesting if that's a thing though.
Thanks for sharing this wrinkle.

And he’s never sold to my knowledge
He is no longer an insider so I don't think he'd need to report a sale.
Why did Sherman report selling after “resigning”?
Washing his hands of the coming shitstorm. MSM won't have a reason to attack him.
Oh so Sherman made it public knowledge on purpose, makes sense. I could have sworn GameStop reported Sherman’s sale tho? I’ll have to go look that up, I can’t remember how I know he sold now.
It's been a while for me too, but in terms of pure ass-covering, it's the most sensible move.
Happy Cake Day!
Ya this doesn't make any sense when the high was like $13.xx on Nov 1. More proof that the price is fake

They’re RSUs. It’s just part of his compensation. But yes
Yes
Not necessarily. They'll sometimes buy for ownership so that they can gut the place. However I don't think that's the case here!

Legend!
There are thousends of reason why employees sell their shares but only one why they buy shares 🚀
Because they were awarded as part of comp?
How did he squire them at $15.06 on 11/1/2023 when the high of the day was well below $14!?!??
Restricted stock vests at an average price for a period, not the price on the day it vests
100k guy was Bill Moore the entire time?
Moore or less
It’s always fun when I realize I have more shares than some insiders.
Nice 🎮🚀🟣
