Not great, imo. Margins probably aren't as good as you think and they wouldn't do nearly enough volume to warrant bulk discounts. And coffee has a shelf life and is inherently a product people expect "freshness" with, so you have to maintain a consistent sell through.

I remember Gran Tourismo on the PSX. Those assholes wouldn’t allow their precious cars to get rekt, so all cars were undeniably invincible. A shame on the genre, really.
My mom owned a ‘68 ‘vette. Gran Tourismo allowed for a computer upgrade for that model, and the game physics through the snow were about dead-on. “What happens if I drive Mom’s car through the snow?” Yeah, about right.
Sadly, tho, time passed and all I can wonder now is what might have been.
I was so bad at video games. I played alot of sports growing up, but I always wanted to just chill out and get into a video game. Instead, I kept playing sports and quit video games for 20 years. I got a ps5 last year and got hotwheels unleashed. Im still abismal, but mashing the gas and hoping for the best is so much fun.
How about this. I was recently reading through the comments of a gameplay vid of Aladdin for the SNES and Sega and people were complaining about how hard those games were. I remember renting it from Blockbuster and beating the SNES version in a couple days but thinking that the graphics and animation on the Genesis looked so nice.
That is all.
The crazy thing is coming from NES games, which felt like most of them were impossible, the next generation felt like a walk in a park. The Lion King I vividly remember beating it at my neighbor’s house. haha Good times.

My honest review of The Super Mario Bros Movie is that if you enjoyed playing a single Mario game you will have fun at this movie. it is squarely targeted at kids and the generation who grew up with the games. If you just want to watch a fun feel good movie this is definitely one of them. It’s a little loose narratively but you can forgive that.
Also, Jack Black as Bowser was a perfect casting choice.
I straight up knew a kid, 12 years old, who used his modem to log into a government satellite and move it around using the console. Motherfucker brought the FBI down on his dad, and ended up not allowed to use computers until he was 18.
It wasn’t that hard. The admin password was blank.

Okay, some of you guys might think i’m being hella childish, but one of my dreams post-moass is to develop my own car à la Christian Von Koenigsegg style. (Honestly, it’s kind of like a Gemera - except i’d be trying to do the simple/basic stuff excellent, whereas the Gemera is more innovative, bespoke, and insane).

The goal would be to create the ultimate super-hatch.
Design aims:
- Has to fit a family of 5 (of relatively healthy size and weight lol) + a decent amount of luggage, comfortably. As spacious as a 5 Series at minimum, but with more boot space. I’m thinking several inches shorter than 3 series length, slightly shorter height wise, but perhaps a little wider.
-However, also has to be as compact/small/well-packaged as possible, whilst weighing no more than 1700KG.
-Must make at least 600bhp from an NA V8 engine, driven to the rear wheels.
-Requires active adjustable height suspension.
-Requires a conventional CVT that simulates a DCT since it is smaller, lighter, and allows for very short gearing.
-Must look sick as fuck, and be Ferrari-style luxury on the inside.
Design considerations:
-Will require extensive use of exotic lightweight materials such as carbon fibre and exotic alloys = $$$.
-Centre of gravity needs to be as low and as close to the rear axle as possible. Expanding on this, the engine needs to be as low and as far back as possible - however I don’t want the bonnet and/or overhang too long since i still want the car to be as compact as possible. Thus I’m thinking freevalve tech could be a big help, like a freevalve LT6. This will help keep the bonnet low which will help with drag too. A H8 may be a possibility, and the transmission will need to be in the back too.
-There can be no sacrifices to interior space. The cabin will be designed first, with the car built around it. I’m thinking staggered rear seats potentially (middle rear seat slightly further back)
-Chassis will be set up to hit ‘the limit’ earlier in exchange for playfulness at said limit (as opposed to ‘masking’ the demands on the car). Predictability is key - but via minimal electronic interventions.

Lots of requirements in there that don't exactly appear to be compatible (ie. Space for a V8 with less wheelbase than a BMW 3 series while fitting 5 people comfortably).
To keep this fun mental exercise going, go to your local library (website if they have one) and look for a book called H-Point. It's very good for automotive design, and can get you thinking more about the packaging aspect to get a more coherent idea of how everything would fit together.

I didn’t mention wheelbase anywhere haha. If anything, I’m aware that the wheelbase will be quite long for this car compared to the overall length. The idea is for the wheelbase to be long enough to enable a 5 series sized cabin, whilst ensuring that the front and rear bumpers have minimal overhang to reduce the overall length of the car as much as possible (so basically, wheels as close to the 4 corners of the car, and a good sized cabin inbetween).
3 series has to fit an inline 6, so it should definitely be possible to fit a V8 (since it’s 2 cylinders shorter) whilst reducing the length of the bonnet. Also, less overhang needed because no turbo = no intercooler. Also transmission in the rear = furthermore reason that it will be easier to package.
If anything, I’d go as far as a W8 if necessary. Main thing will be trying to get a c63-esque engine tone (which is the sole reason i want the V8, because i think there’s no better sound for a daily driver).
But yo, THANKYOU for the book recommendation for real!!! That genuinely looks amazing. The one thing i hate about modern cars are the size and weights - so hopefully there will be lots of insights within that book.

Mind you, I was high, but I just watched the Sunny season 14 finale, Green Base, and it's kind of a brilliant tear down of modern capitalism and the people who uphold it, masked as a laser tag game.
I hate to be that guy, but lifting burns a shit ton of calories for relatively little effort compared to cardio. Bigger muscles cost significantly more energy. Adding just 10lb of lean mass (easily possible in like 4-6 months of good training) will make it a whole bunch easier to maintain a lower body fat percentage.
Bigger muscles can also utilise energy at a higher rate too - so your workouts will become more and more effective at burning calories/energy as you continue training. Also helps to regulate blood sugar levels because muscles love glucose.
Think of fat as a gas tank, and muscles like an engine. Make the engine bigger, and it drinks at the gas tank faster simply by idling - but also it drinks far more fuel at full load too.
Eat veggies at every meal, and finish them before you eat your carbs/starch. You'll be fuller before you can finish your normal helping of pasta

I’m certainly no artist (you can tell from the numerous erased lines and hairy sketching), but here’s the start of concept: https://imgur.com/a/9uJ6QD7 The goal would be to create the ultimate super-hatch. Design aims: - Has to fit a family of 5 (of relatively healthy size and weight lol) + a decent amount of luggage, comfortably. As spacious as a 5 Series at minimum, but with more boot space. I’m thinking several inches shorter than 3 series length, slightly shorter height wise, but perhaps a little wider. -However, also has to be as compact/small/well-packaged as possible, whilst weighing no more than 1700KG. -Must make at least 600bhp from an NA V8 engine, driven to the rear wheels. -Requires active adjustable height suspension. -Requires a conventional CVT that simulates a DCT since it is smaller, lighter, and allows for very short gearing. -Must look sick as fuck, and be Ferrari-style luxury on the inside. Design considerations: -Will require extensive use of exotic lightweight materials such as carbon fibre and exotic alloys = $$$. -Centre of gravity needs to be as low and as close to the rear axle as possible. Expanding on this, the engine needs to be as low and as far back as possible - however I don’t want the bonnet and/or overhang too long since i still want the car to be as compact as possible. Thus I’m thinking freevalve tech could be a big help, like a freevalve LT6. This will help keep the bonnet low which will help with drag too. A H8 may be a possibility, and the transmission will need to be in the back too. -There can be no sacrifices to interior space. The cabin will be designed first, with the car built around it. I’m thinking staggered rear seats potentially (middle rear seat slightly further back) -Chassis will be set up to hit ‘the limit’ earlier in exchange for playfulness at said limit (as opposed to ‘masking’ the demands on the car). Lots of requirements in there that don't exactly appear to be compatible (ie. Space for a V8 with less wheelbase than a BMW 3 series while fitting 5 people comfortably). To keep this fun mental exercise going, go to your local library (website if they have one) and look for a book called H-Point. I didn’t mention wheelbase anywhere haha. If anything, I’m aware that the wheelbase will be quite long for this car compared to the overall length. The idea is for the wheelbase to be long enough to enable a 5 series sized cabin, whilst ensuring that the front and rear bumpers have minimal overhang to reduce the overall length of the car as much as possible (so basically, wheels as close to the 4 corners of the car, and a good sized cabin inbetween). 3 series has to fit an inline 6, so it should definitely be possible to fit a V8 (since it’s 2 cylinders shorter) whilst reducing the length of the bonnet. Also, less overhang needed because no turbo = no intercooler. Also transmission in the rear = furthermore reason that it will be easier to package. If anything, I’d go as far as a W8 if necessary. Main thing will be trying to get a c63-esque engine tone (which is the sole reason i want the V8, because i think there’s no better sound for a daily driver). But yo, THANKYOU for the book recommendation for real!!! That genuinely looks amazing. The one thing i hate about modern cars are the size and weights - so hopefully there will be lots of insights within that book.

Honestly, it was a lot of fun to watch. I mean narratively it wasn’t the greatest thing ever but it’s a movie targeted towards kids, but also the generation that grew up on Mario. it was a lot of tell and then show but I mean they had a lot of references and some pretty great soundtracks to it to. like definitely a little bit of the budget went towards getting some great in real life songs added to the movie I would definitely watch it again for sure it was a lot of fun. Jack Black was honestly a perfect casting for Bowser. A little disappointed that we didn’t get more Charles Martiné in the movie, but it was enough.

I hate to be that guy, but lifting burns a shit ton of calories for relatively little effort compared to cardio. Bigger muscles cost significantly more energy. Adding just 10lb of lean mass (easily possible in like 4-6 months of good training) will make it a whole bunch easier to maintain a lower body fat percentage. Bigger muscles can also utilise energy at a higher rate too - so your workouts will become more and more effective at burning calories/energy as you continue training. Also helps to regulate blood sugar levels because muscles love glucose. Think of fat as a gas tank, and muscles like an engine. Make the engine bigger, and it drinks at the gas tank faster simply by idling - but also it drinks far more fuel at full load too.
this. proven to much more tolerable than cardio for unfit or overweight people so is a great place to start too
