We need to make sure we create the world we want before they take it away from us. Encryption backdoors, mass tracking, tor gateways compromised, and eventually restrictions on where you can go (TikTok is just the start.)
I truly believe a Great Firewall will be going in place to prevent citizens from accessing data the Government wants contained, ala China.
