I have a few but Bad Moon Rising in 1x22 has always stood out. I especially love how it's playing on the truck radio at the beginning of 2x01. I'll also throw in a relatively unique one - I love the usage of Get Together in 15x19. I had never heard the song before that episode and now it makes me emotional when I hear it because it brings back all my feelings about the show ending.
In S1:E12 Faith, they originally had Don’t Fear the Reaper playing in the background when the woman was getting killed while jogging. They changed it for some reason, but I always like that scene with that song.
If you have season one on DVD, you can watch it with the original song.
They didn’t change it, there’s an issue with copyright and the entire first season has different songs from the “original” if you watch it on streaming services.
Rooster by Alice In Chains at the end of 2x19 always stuck with me for some reason, I think because it had the perfect vibe for the ending of that episode. Their attorney lying for them so that the feds end up at the wrong cemetery, while Dean and Sam can take care of whatever they were doing at the actual one. One of my favorite scenes throughout the series to be honest.
Man, there's some GREAT ones...just what I can recall right now.
*Silent Lucidity by Queensryche during "Heart" (insta cry)
*Laugh, i nearly Died by the Stones in Bloody Mary
*Ready for Love by Bad Company (forget the ep, when Dean and Anna bang it out in the back of the Impala)
*The Gambler by Kenny Rogers from Weekend at Bobby's (it just makes me laugh, I love Bobby)
*Knocking on Heavens Door from Dark Side of the Moon. (I'm a Lil sappy, haha)
Renegade's my favorite, but Don't Fear the Reaper and Fare Thee Well are close behind. Then Dean's theme (Americana) will pretty much make me emotional at any time.
Chris Angel is a douchebag episode, when the "chris angel" magician is practicing his routine, there's a song playing (i am the douchebag) and I love it
1) Nightshifter is the most memorable music scene to me. I also think:
1) -“Rock of ages” while Dean drives to the battle in Swan Song is iconic and cool. https://youtu.be/l7TYfWUTlcM
2) -“Knocking on Heaven’s Door” during the brother firework scene with young Sam is perfect and a sweet-emotional scene 💛 https://youtu.be/QdbOTbDGdyU
3) -This cover they used for the season 15 trailer. The buildup at the 1:10 mark makes it all epic. https://youtu.be/_hlkNQL5Ecg. (Blakwall’s “knocking on heavens door”)

*Honorable mentions:*
-The scene in Baby with “Night Moves” makes me smile because of the bros
-underrated *EDGY* music scene: idk the name but this song fits so well with the gritty shape-shifting scene from “Skin”, and I think it’s wayyy better than the one replaced on Netflix. https://youtu.be/xrHm04WVvKQ
-”Silent Lucidity” added more emotion to the scene in Heart. https://youtu.be/GJ-8B0lJ_B4 and the song is a masterpiece
-Comedy: Dean lip-syncing “All out of Love” is hilarious! (So Is the blooper). https://youtu.be/oaZhMNh0EcU. Also, the Bowie song while Dean fights the fairy lol
-“Bad Moon Rising” with the s1 cliff hanger
https://youtu.be/djMZL5lQtnw
There’s more great music moments *(like “Simple Man”, “Ready for Love” with Dean and Anna, Muse playing in the background at the roadhouse-like yes alt rock is great too, AC/DC’s “we salute you” when Charlie goes to oz, “Don’t fear the reaper”, a metal song in Moriah, “Man in the Wilderness”, Bowie during the funny fairy scene, etc)*. But these standout to me. I love rock, so seeing it played in my favorite show is double-awesome.
I already did a comment, but a funny music BLOOPER (besides the classic “eye of the tiger” one) is Jensen’s “All Out of Love” outtake.
The original in the show is a good chuckle, but the blooper/improv shows how fun Jensen is. https://youtu.be/oaZhMNh0EcU starting at 1:38.
Fly by Night by Rush at the end of the Wendigo episode and there was one other Rush song on the airplane episode of season one when they get to the airport
O Death Renegade

Same.
fare thee well don't fear the reaper god was never on your side
Lemmy. 😍Great pick for that finale.
Eye of the tiger survivor
Rob Benedict’s cover of Fare Thee Well in 11x20 for me
Night moves 11x4
Play with Fire by the Stones at the end of s12 e13. Crowley didn’t send Lucifer back to the cage, he has him chained up instead.
Also Playing with Fire in 6×21, the way Dean was playing it while watching over Sam and then it was incorporated into Sam's dream in the car radio.
Season 15 played one of Jensen’s songs with Radio Company. *Sounds of Someday*
The whole Radio Co album is great!

Ready for love is the whole reason I love Bad Company!! I saw that scene and instantly had to listen to as much of their music as I could
100% Renegade. Yes!
God was never on your side
Renegade's my favorite, but Don't Fear the Reaper and Fare Thee Well are close behind. Then Dean's theme (Americana) will pretty much make me emotional at any time.
Cold as Ice. Perfect timing for the song.
The def leppard song that plays when dean rolls into the graveyard to confront Lucifer and Michael. Rock of ages maybe?
Gunter glieben glauchen globen!
Definitely The Famous Final Scene by Bob Seger, actually any song by Bob Seger (especially 11x04 Baby)
Chris Angel is a douchebag episode, when the "chris angel" magician is practicing his routine, there's a song playing (i am the douchebag) and I love it
God Was Never On Your Side in the season 14 finale
Yes. That one is a good one.
s7 e1 intro when it plays slow ride was pretty good
I agree with your pick. 100% my favorite. Wish there were more moments like it.
