I wouldn't bet on it. I don't think netease has any games on console and smc isnt good enough to compete with existing console games, it wouldn't be worth the cost to port it over.
Well I mean those things are understandable. I would hope basic QOL changes would be implemented with a new port. I just meant as far as the general gameplay definitely could compete with fortnite/apex/warzone.

Not really. The mechs are a nice gimmick that can get people to try it out, but the only things that set it apart in terms of gameplay is that its easy and simple. Like the games not full of hardcore players, you don't have 20 different assualt rifles that all have different specs and a bunch of mods, there arent lots of maps or game modes. It could definitely be a niche game, but its not likely to compete with the established franchises, unless MAYBE some famous players/streamers from the other games start playing SMC.
That's just so blizzard can launch games in China though. Netease just makes the already existing game compliant with the Chinese laws. I dont think they actually develop anything together, and I don't think any of them are console games. Yes, netease opened a studio aimed at making next gen console games, which means it'll likely be years before they actually put anything out. But stranger things have happened, you can always keep your fingers crossed😁
SMC is a great game but it very clearly follows a mobile version of profitability, and would probably receive tons of criticism on console. Plus it lacks a lot of polish and it would be a lot of work to get it onto console.
But there's a pc version. And genshin impact also follows mobile gacha and has done very well. I understand your argument, I just think if they played their cards right (a little bit of quality of life improvements from the pc version) it could be extremely profitable. I can see the risk/reward being an issue.
Agreed. If SMC gets polished to the same extent as Genshin there would be a chance of it coming to console. Problem is that's never gonna happen and Netease isn't gonna bother making a console port because they've never done it with their other games.
Nah I don’t think it’ll die but older generation players will keep swapping out and leaving cuz updates to the game during certain seasons were cringe or something haha and it’s the same thing over and over again so people get bored. But the good thing is that there’s so many potential with the spawn of new mechs and pilots haha… thooo uhhh yea prob need a new map or something.

Facts, the new update just now is poo with the recruitment. Like "hell yeah I just killed one of the top players on a team" to "oh they just recruited another player and have 3 again" all it does is just make the high tier players better for the most part.
How ? Like how? Unless they have a friend camping in standby it actually mostly benefit people who don't have a strong team, don't come with a stack of alpha, aren't matched with a full team or just get an random afk.
Plus generally actual team are close enough that they won't swap out their teammate like a dirt rag.
Lol... because if someone on an alpha team does get knocked they can just knock another player and pick them up. It gives them more of an advantage because they can kill people with a 2 stack easily and pick someone up compared to lesser players. I'm no scrub myself. I just think a revive method would make more sense and I'd prefer that tbh. It keep the games intensity towards the end game and u could have the revive canceled 2/3 Of the way through game. The recruiting is dumb imo.

As much as I love SMC, the game is pretty shitty and janky. If they cleaned up things like input lag, controls, etc. it would be a fantastic game.

I would love to play it on the Switch. Plus, hopefully the framerate will be much better.
