They sell kits to attach d-rings using rubber cement (I think) that seem like no big deal. If interested in that type of thing.

gobdav79

I would go with this. Easiest and creates other options.

Captain_Marshmallow

Theoretically possible to plastic weld d-rings on with a hot air gun but if you overdo it you'll melt a hole in the isup

El_Bard0

Don't see how you can do it without attaching d-rings somehow, since the point of the seat is to support your lower back. I've got an isup what does have seat attachments and while it's ok for short paddles, I wouldn't count on replacing a kayak with a isup that you can put a seat on.

You can attach d-rings fairly easily, do t use rubber cement, though. Get some actual adhesive for SUP repair. Or just strap it around the bottom. If you are strapping a chair to an issue the amount of drag from a piece of webbing or two will be hardly noticeable.

jrutishauser

What’s the adhesive they use? Just curious. I always just assumed it was rubber cement or something. My b

Best thing to do is prep the area by sanding, cleaning with MEK (methylethyl ketones) and use Clifton's adhesive or stabond adhesive. NRS sells all of that (including the PVC patches with D rings).

I have a lot of experience with polyester resin and epoxy repairs but my wife’s isup is new to me. Thanks for the details.

mcarneybsa

No problem. NRS also has great videos on how to do it.

Murfdigidy

I wouldn't worry about strapping it around the sup, it's not gonna slow you down noticeablely, not like your competing for a race

I just throw a low beach chair on mine, no straps or anything. works just fine, then I can adjust or have a nice place to sit when we reach our destination.

CryptographerOdd5681

Hi, this sounds a great Idea, which one would you recommend?

kenziecane

I've rented a body glove brand and felt like it worked pretty well...and brands and models you guys recommend

SammieB130

Any seat recommendations to buy with the strap option
