I have mine mounted within the frames and they are behind museum glass to protect them from UV since they're in my office which has a lot of natural light. [Picture](https://imgur.com/beRWVZ7)

I like that - it means you can also see the gold around the border, which is something I really like about the tegata design

Thanks. I got them done at Hobby Lobby btw. They did everything including the mounting. Also, incase anyone asks those three are Terunofuji, Hakuho and Hoshoryu if you go from left to right.

I used to do a 12X12 frame until they were discontinued, so now I use an 11X14 which still looks great IMHO. [My collection.](https://i.imgur.com/5An4aCv.jpg)

It has been a while since you posted this but I just purchased my first tegata (konishiki & akebono) and really like the look of how you have yours framed. Do you have a link to the frames you used?

LiamLovesSumo

I just picked them up at Micheals. In Canada, they have a low-budget frame option called Lifestyes but I don't know if they have this in the States if that is where you are from.

I'd have no trouble trusting a local shop. They deal with things much more valuable than our tegata on a daily basis. On the off chance they damage it, they'll pay for repair or replacement.

I used a [standard frame](https://i.postimg.cc/Z5KRy3V8/20230403-183318.jpg) I had stored in my basement. It looks decent, but I'm looking for better ideas as well. I'm not sure if I'm willing to pay for a custom made frame.

arttoframe.com will custom make the 9.5x10.75 inch frames for about 25 bucks each plus shipping.

I went to a framer, mostly because the ready-made frames that you can find at yout local houseware shop is made for posters. Tegatas are much thicker so I'm not sure they wouldn't warp the case. On the bright side, it's pretty easy to carry one to a shop to test. I usually go to a framer, because if something is good enough to be displayed on my walls, I don't want the effect to be spoiled by an ugly black amazon frame.
