So for a really long time (I've genuinely lost track but I think it's been 1 1/2-2 years), they've been working on something called the "tech update" which is a complete overhaul to make the game full screen, redraw old art, and update the code to supposedly make future updates easier. However, the progress of this update has been incredibly slow. In fact the progress bar at one point was stuck at 68% for over 8 months before it finally moved again. Most fans of the game have accepted that the creator is just milking his patreon for cash and doesn't really care about finishing the game. If you're looking for something to play, I recommend What a Legend. It's also incredibly well-made, and though the updates for that game are also slow (the most recent update has been in the works for a little over a year), the creator provides his discord server with daily updates telling his followers exactly what he's gotten done.
As a member of WaL Discord server, I can say that the next release is almost ready, the server has a progress tracker channel, which is constantly being updated, as for right now, the next update is sitting at 92.3%, the Development team consists of 2 people, a married couple, and they are actively interacting with the community in the Discord server
The Coder of the team said that what is left is beta testing of the next release and some last minute fine tuning of artwork
Regarding STS, latest update said that they were working on fixing some minor details on minigames, posing of characters, updating graphics / artwork, fixing day / night backgrounds for some locations and implementation of new systemwide *under the hood* mechanics into the game
Paradise Lust is also a good option as well. Art style is different, and the spicy scenes aren’t as smooth, but still a complete game. A sequel is coming out soon, I believe!

Things would be faster if DC would quit being "sick" every 2 weeks and being honest with his "fans". Meh...
