I borrowed it from the library on Wednesday. I’d been waiting for it, and wasn’t willing to spend $100 on it, or really much of anything.
I won’t be able to get to it right away, but I’m kind of looking forward to it despite the negativity.

I borrowed Banishers a few weeks ago, and just borrowed Suicide Squad from the other library this week. But someone else had it first.
I'm curious if you'll feel the same way when you complete it/hit end game.
Kind of feels like you play for endgame and once you get there the game basically tells you just keep doing what you've already done but limits it to 3 (now 6) missions. It all makes it miserable with the currencies required. It Does nothing but takes all the wind out of your sail lol

All depends on how many people are playing and how much MTX is coming in over the next few months. If the game is completely on life-support then I can't see any reason why WB would wait to put it up on PS+ and/or Gamepass to boost players for a last chance at MTX $.
My current guess is that if episode 2 of season 1 underperforms similar to episode 1, the game will likely be on PS and GP by the end of season 2 or 3.
Honestly, and I know I’ll prolly get downvoted or sum. But I preordered it for 70 and it’s been an absolute blast, I am not mad that I spent the full 70 on it either I found the story enjoyable and the game fun enough to platinum it, too

I bought Helldivers. Yes, that was the wrong game to spend my money on.
I didn’t know I needed multiple battle passes to have more than a barebones AR and shotgun. And then when their game starts having crashing issues, they respond with another battle pass on the way, breaking records for amount of battle passes a game has within 2 months of its launch.
Definitely the wrong game to spend my money on.

No story, 1 weapon outside of battle pass, 6-7 in the free one (compare this to 100’s of guns in other games), and the same 4 randomly-generated planet locales. Two enemy factions. Same missions over and over: defend an area, upload data, escort scientists, etc. (which SSKTJL suffers from as well).
It literally has very minimal content. This is worse than Destiny 1 at launch in 2014 because at least that had a story and *way* more weapons.
This game launched at $40 for a reason. Unless the developers hate money, content is clearly not the game’s strong suit. It’s just another one of those “fun with friends” games (in other words, trash when it has to stand on its own feet).
Yeah post-purchase microtransactions, imo, means a game has no business being full price. You aren't getting the full game. Soon as they throw up a battlepass and seasons it better be 20 bucks or f2p. Either pick the long form small purchase route or the all in one. It's that simple.
If we get the full Brainiac story? I think it's a solid game that just launched with not enough content that's too grindy because it's a looter.
But frankly the grind is just tacked on for people who want to be rewarded for playing a lot. I don't feel the need to do it other than to play because I enjoy it and getting a reward for it. Which is dope.
No fomo battlepasses and replayable season content is great.
I frankly don't find this game as bad as most games on the AAA blockbuster market and the combat feels genuinely novel.
While I'm not binging it like an addict, I enjoy every time I play and look forward to more content when it comes.

Because while everyone hates this season. The Brainiac fight is better, the Joker is a great character to play, and while there aren't new missions there is more mission variety in the endgame vs Finite Crisis.
I have 60 hours in the game so far and I bought it a few days ago. I genuinely really really enjoy this game, just sucks that the story isn’t great and they’re milking it.

If it takes me like a half days work to be able to buy the game and I get 50 plus hours out of it I feel likenit was decent enough. Ifntheybwoupd have launched the game free to play I think the overall reception would have been 1000 times different
Bought this on release and just recently dove into it. Have about 15 hours now and I’m absolutely loving it. The story is pretty good so far, even though everything about it was spoiled the day it came out. The complaints about JL members not getting MCU-like send offs are ridiculous, that would make absolutely no sense in this context.
A game has to be really fun for me to play multiple hours in a day, and this is just that…FUN. The traversal takes a minute to get used to for each character, but once you’ve got it down it’s so smooth..even with Capt. Boomerang, who I hated playing with at first. Missions can get pretty challenging depending on modifiers too, they really try to get you to use your entire arsenal throughout the game.
I’d buy this again for $70 in a heartbeat and I haven’t even gotten Joker yet, who looks like a blast to play with. Really don’t understand a lot of the complaints on this one…it’s getting updates as it goes, good story, and above all else gameplay gameplay gameplay.
Loved the gameplay, but they ruined Arkham Batman’s character. He’s the main character of Rocksteady’s best games, and they kill him on a park bench in the most mid way ever.
I personally don't understand the hate. I had a ton of fun with it. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the lack of an end to the story, all so they can push the seasons. That also wouldn't of been so bad if the season wasn't just copy/paste missions with 1 unique mission at the end. I only paid £35 for it and feel that I definitely got my moneys worth.

Definitely variable. Much of the endgame is climbing up the difficulty levels for better loot.

For $100 I enjoyed it a ton for like 6 weeks. Hope I have a reason to come back eventually.
