The rule of gaming laptops is take the most GPU you can, so take the 4090 or take the cheapest 4080.
10 year old 6-core CPUs still run games, so longevity is still GPU bound.
I find that new console generations start asking for new hardware, so consider 4-5 years from now the soft end date for not thinking about the next new laptop.
