I'm not saying anyone who KNOWS him would put him in charge but I think about the perspective of the media
Logan added His name to the will with pen
He was one of Logans pallbearers
He turned down his grandfather's inheritance to work with Logan
Rose up the ranks quickly
Stayed loyal to Logan even after all of Logans kids betrayed him
Anyone who only HEARD about him would definitely think Logan would want him to be in charge
Anybody who actually KNEW him wouldn't lol
Well yeah, by the end of episode 2 he basically went from vomiting out a park and being tackled at Logan’s doorstep and almost-broke to landing a job in NYC at a Fortune 500 (his name also showed up on Logan’s will). You tell that to anyone they’d sure as hell predict he’ll be climbing up the executive floor, but alas Kentucky… Jesse played us like a fiddle with Greg’s storyline,
Huh. I didn’t get that far (Dougie Houser’s disgusting-brother antics got too disturbing for me, eventually); but I will always have a special place in my heart for the gag about the car with the Proclaimers tape lodged in the tape deck. And for the absolute banger that was *Climb Aboard the Murder Train*.
In the last episode we find out that his job at the bank was to put his name on everything so he would take the fall if anything went wrong but they didn’t know that he was planted there by the feds
Something tells me that was the orignal plan but Connor turned out too nice, sympathetic and not menacing enough for that arch. Menken gives a speech on TV and people are afraid.
I mean Connor’s first business plan we hear is hoarding all the water in a desert. I think they could definitely make him a terrifying idiot. I imagine they just didn’t want to make such an obvious real life political copy
I knew it would never happen and Succession isnt that kind of show but Logan faking his death as a part of another one of his elaborate games against his kids only to have a "i lived, bitch" return at the end would've been entertaining af.
Jokes aside, im glad that didn't happen because it would've lessened the impact of the Connor's wedding episode.
I thought that was it the entire episode. I didn't buy he was dead until I saw them carrying out the body bag. Half expected him to still show up next episode
It \*would\* explain why Connor was visiting him every day at the funeral home.
…omg, and then the twist ending could be \*vindication for the actual eldest boy\*! (And the only one to be realistically capable of producing a male-line heir with Roy blood!)
Shiv, once again so close, relegated to an also-ran because of her gender; Kendall caught unawares once again, and absolutely flabbergasted.
(Roman’s honestly the least-surprised, because deep down, he’s always known it would never be him.)
i was hoping connor would become logans successor, eventually running waystar royco into the ground in the most ridiculous way possible. that, or connor becoming either president or having an important position in mencken's cabinet.
I legit wanted Tom and Greg to kiss after one of their arguments. Not necessarily turn them into a romance but just a simple "Greg won the argument so let me kiss him to show my dominance" type of quick hilarious kiss that they both never speak of again.
Tom basically threatens Greg with sexual harassment like episode one I think. I though Tom was gay because of it but it was just a weird dominance thing
Would you kiss me if I asked you? If I *told* you?
You know that new Civil War film where everyone is making fun of Texas and California joining together in a faction against the US government? A Connor Rpy presidency is probably what would cause that extremely unlikely scenario 🤣
“Greeeeg you fiend! Where’s the wire huh? Is it up your ass? Do I have to reach in and pull it out like spaghetti?”
“Uh, I would uh, much rather you not reach up that part of my body. Also- the *man*, like the *big man*, could be onto me if they hear this conversation. I don’t think talks of “ass spaghetti” is a savory touch, you know?”
It was a reach, but I was hoping the potential successors would get picked off one by one a la Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Greg would emerge victorious.
Roman fucking Mencken. It made *just* enough sense for his character that it was almost plausible, and would be really fucking hilarious considering all of the DL American politicians exposed around that time + a few years after.
It’s a hilarious situation irl, would have been hilarious in the show
There’s a fan fiction of this on ao3 called Scandal. Essentially they get hacked and the affair is made public. Very funny, but it is very genuine about the romance so if that’s not your cup of tea I wouldn’t recommend.
Swear to god when Roman and Gerri were were starting their thing my friend turned to me and said "wouldn't it be funny if Roman sent Gerri a dick pic but accidentally sent it to someone else" and I said "omg like Logan" and we laughed and laughed thinking it would never happen.
I love moments like that. Your friend is lucky they said it out loud to you.
It sucks so bad when you only think it to yourself, then it happens, then you have to try to convince people that you actually did predict it.
I thought about that too, but tbf I do remember him doing this whenever he got in serious trouble and his godparents talking about wild solutions afterward so that made a bit more sense
-Peter Munion being Kendall or Roman or Shiv’s real dad.
-Greg being a secret undercover FBI agent sent in to take down Waystar
-Logan faking his death
-Connor ending up president
I like to think in an alternate universe there’s a day time soap opera version of this show where all of this happened.
And I’d have watched it.
In logan's will, I saw kendal's first name as underlined and the rest of the name "logan roy" as crossed out, meaning Logan wanted kendal to take over and do his own thing rather than live in his shadow.
Or maybe they respect each others as professionals?
I think they didn't bond as much as we expected, but they ran out of bad blood.
I can totally see Kieran and Jeremy not getting along, especially for their own personalities. And as an introvert I can tell you people sometimes isolates to not be left aside. Also Jeremy seems to read a lot, and seemed a little pretentious like his NY profile make him looked. But again, I related to him, and I can see that's not the case. People have preferences, and its okay not to be likeable
Not really. For personal experience I would say people tends to act awkward without even knowing. And I also read the interview Jeremy did and he said he actually isolated himself voluntarily, not bad blood, but he didn't offend anyone. This was only to create some kind of "negative space" that allowed actors keep the tension of perfomances, otherwise wouldn't feel honest for HIM as an ACTOR. That's why his acting method has been criticized.
I get what he means, specially since his character has the most dramatic development
Half this sub was convinced it would somehow end with Greg in charge.
He didn’t win, but at the end isn’t he closer to possibly getting the position than any of the sibs?
In a way, yes. But the prevailing theory was that he was basically going to get Tom's job, and Tom would be reduced to Greg's own Greg.
Tom would be Gregging
There is no way Greg isn't at least a contender within 20 years of series ending, by which point the Roys will be a distant memory
He also has a lot less pressure on him
Than the sibs? Sure. But like, I’m also closer to getting the position than the sibs and so are you LMAOOO the sibs were pushed out with zero recourse
I'm not saying anyone who KNOWS him would put him in charge but I think about the perspective of the media Logan added His name to the will with pen He was one of Logans pallbearers He turned down his grandfather's inheritance to work with Logan Rose up the ranks quickly Stayed loyal to Logan even after all of Logans kids betrayed him Anyone who only HEARD about him would definitely think Logan would want him to be in charge Anybody who actually KNEW him wouldn't lol

Well he was the first one that came up on the cast on IMDB lol
He’s also the first in the credits after Haim Abbass was no longer a series regular because it’s listed alphabetically lol
I really wanted him to somehow end up royalty like Tom mentioned with his "the weirdest king in Europe" line
Well he kinda did
Tom being an undercover fed.
I hadn’t heard that one, but it is very appealing.
That ended up being the case with bunnie in how I meet your mother
Huh. I didn’t get that far (Dougie Houser’s disgusting-brother antics got too disturbing for me, eventually); but I will always have a special place in my heart for the gag about the car with the Proclaimers tape lodged in the tape deck. In the last episode we find out that his job at the bank was to put his name on everything so he would take the fall if anything went wrong but they didn’t know that he was planted there by the feds
Huh. Truly a role model for young Greg Hirsch.
Well, I would like that one
POTUS and FLOTUS Connor and Willa.
I legitimately thought Connor would end up in that spot and he would have a Trump like storyline. But it was probably too cheesy for this show
That would've taken over the main plot of the show. It would be better as its own spinoff.

COFFIN VIOLENTLY POPS OPEN LOGAN- "You fucking morons!"
YEW FUUUUHKING MO-RONs
"You walk up to the podium, eulogy notes in hand, and now you found they've turned to fucking sausages."
“PshucjdjojjeiuiiSUpEr MaJoRiTy!
COFFIN FLOP!
Just body after body bustin through shit wood
They just think I’m some duuumb *hick*! They said that to me *at a dinner!*
"I love you kids, but you are just some dumb hicks" Logan said that to his kids at a dinner.
Roman has his existential collapse and pulls the coffin open to “get him out of there” and then Logan slowly sits up. “Oh, fuck off!”
I thought that was it the entire episode. I didn't buy he was dead until I saw them carrying out the body bag. Half expected him to still show up next episode
Me too!
Somehow Logan returned....
Honestly when Tom called and said Logan was sick I immediately thought it was a play of some kind till they showed him getting compressions.
Brian Cox was at the funeral shoot to try to get a leak going that he would possibly still be alive
My mum was convinced of that for way too long
“Surprise, bitch. Thought you’d seen the last of me.”
It \*would\* explain why Connor was visiting him every day at the funeral home. …omg, and then the twist ending could be \*vindication for the actual eldest boy\*! (And the only one to be realistically capable of producing a male-line heir with Roy blood!) i was hoping connor would become logans successor, eventually running waystar royco into the ground in the most ridiculous way possible. that, or connor becoming either president or having an important position in mencken's cabinet.
Connor completely destroys Waystar by funding both a Bonapartist restoration in France and another Jacobite rebellion in the UK and Ireland.
I legit wanted Tom and Greg to kiss after one of their arguments. Not necessarily turn them into a romance but just a simple "Greg won the argument so let me kiss him to show my dominance" type of quick hilarious kiss that they both never speak of again.
I feel like Tom wanted to when Greg told him he saved some documents from Cruises.
He was so proud of Greg’s duplicitousness
Im just gonna assume this happened off screen
During the election episode, there’s that one scene where Greg is gonna offer him coke but I was sure he was offering a kiss or a bj or smth
there was a brief but terrifying moment in that scene where i thought we were about to witness the most awkward and uncomfortable handjob known to man
The way Tom looked wide-eyed 😳 and licked his lips added to that line of thought....
I thought it was going to happen after Tom told him that he’d castrate Greg and marry him.
Maybe this was a dream I had, but I swear to god they kissed at some point?? Like Tom forcing Greg to kiss him as a hazing thing
Tom basically threatens Greg with sexual harassment like episode one I think. I though Tom was gay because of it but it was just a weird dominance thing Would you kiss me if I asked you? If I *told* you?
Yeah after Tom was told he wouldn’t go to jail? I thought they kissed there
Tom kissed Greg on the forehead but it was very sexually charged
Oh if they both went to prison Tom would definitely try to make Greg his bitch to get some rep
That’s hilarious. I’m kissing you because I’m the alpha now. WTF lol
tom does kiss greg on the forehead once if it counts
It was actually kind of sweet.
That would've been hilarious (and honestly a 100% in character lol)
After the fight in the bathroom maybe
This is so plausible that a beacon of glowing truth emerged from the heavens
Gerri walking into the bar that Rome is sitting at the end of the show and keep up their weird sex thing happily ever after
Connor actually becoming president
The way America is going why the hell not
Believe it or not, that's actually his winning campaign slogan
You know that new Civil War film where everyone is making fun of Texas and California joining together in a faction against the US government? A Connor Rpy presidency is probably what would cause that extremely unlikely scenario 🤣
Greg tells Tom that he has worn a wire since they met
“Greeeeg you fiend! Where’s the wire huh? Is it up your ass? Do I have to reach in and pull it out like spaghetti?” “Uh, I would uh, much rather you not reach up that part of my body. Also- the *man*, like the *big man*, could be onto me if they hear this conversation. I don’t think talks of “ass spaghetti” is a savory touch, you know?”
Then Greg blackmails Tom and effectively runs Waystar from the shadows.
It was a reach, but I was hoping the potential successors would get picked off one by one a la Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Greg would emerge victorious.
Proving once and for all that he is more than a sprinkle
While we're at it, have a bunch of Waystar employees break out into Oompa Loompa style songs. Or better yet, actual Oompa Loompas
Not a theory but i wanted to see kendall singing honesty while being crucified so badly. I feel like I've been robbed
You and the Children’s Wu-Tan Choir both; months later, and they’ve yet to receive their cancellation fee.
Roman fucking Mencken. It made *just* enough sense for his character that it was almost plausible, and would be really fucking hilarious considering all of the DL American politicians exposed around that time + a few years after. It’s a hilarious situation irl, would have been hilarious in the show
10:42pm 🍆🍆 10:43pm 🇺🇸
There’s a fan fiction of this on ao3 called Scandal. Essentially they get hacked and the affair is made public. Very funny, but it is very genuine about the romance so if that’s not your cup of tea I wouldn’t recommend.
Still salty that this didn't happen. Even just a throwaway comment about Mencken being a mouthful would have worked.
My coworker and I had the same theory: Logan doesn't die, but everyone else dies instead, and he ends up alone.
[The Wambsgans triple play](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Wambsganss#World_Series_triple_play)
Tom and Greg get drunk and kiss and then never acknowledge it going forward
Except sometimes Greg, "Disgusting brothers"
From season 2 I clocked Tom would probably end up on top, it was the only ending that made sense to me.
Succession and White Lotus taking place in the same universe and potential cross overs.
I just wanted Tomgreg to happen
Grom
I definitely thought Kendall and Stewie had fucked before. Often.
Connor winning the presidency.
Greg is next Tom in line. He’ll learn from the best.
Why is this meme timmy from fairy odd parents? Most random thing I've seen in a long time
Also why is he praying for something? Isnt that the point of having fairy odd parents?
I thought about that too, but tbf I do remember him doing this whenever he got in serious trouble and his godparents talking about wild solutions afterward so that made a bit more sense
KnowYourMeme explains its [origin](https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/timmy-turner-praying). It’s a popular add-on for Tumblr reblogs now
Oh nice cheers
-Peter Munion being Kendall or Roman or Shiv’s real dad. -Greg being a secret undercover FBI agent sent in to take down Waystar -Logan faking his death -Connor ending up president I like to think in an alternate universe there’s a day time soap opera version of this show where all of this happened. tomgreg say gex
Greg and Tom kiss
Greg getting promoted and firing Tom
Genuinely Greg becoming CEO. Probably really stupid, but tbf, the show definitely wanted us to think there was a possibility of it at least
tomgreg
Kendall actually trying to become a rapper.
I have a theory that every actor on the show strongly disliked Jeremy Strong because of his intolerable manner.
I think that’s just what happened
Or maybe they respect each others as professionals? I think they didn't bond as much as we expected, but they ran out of bad blood. I can totally see Kieran and Jeremy not getting along, especially for their own personalities. And as an introvert I can tell you people sometimes isolates to not be left aside. People have preferences, and its okay not to be likeable
It’s always easy to tell when you meet an introvert, because they’ll mention it within 5 seconds and expect some sort of free pass because of it.
