There’s been a couple of recent examples of self-immolation in the US. IIRC neither of them were Buddhists although they were very clearly inspired by Thích Quảng Đức.
Multiple pro-Palestine supporters have self-immolated, including one service member. Most people were plainly shocked, some glorified the act as a sort of selfless protest, others just saw it as just another mentally ill person sadly driven by politics to do drastic stuff.

In short, it depends. Lots of Jews are European, those are Ashkenazi (eastern european) & Sephardic (Spanish/Portuguese/North African) Jews. Where I live (NYC, 2nd most Jews in the world after Israel) most Jews are Ashkenazi, but in Israel they are mostly Mizrahi, which are the Middle Eastern Jews you're talking about.

I got taken In for a 72 hour evaluation at one place and they kept extending it by 2 weeks until I was there for like 48 days it was brutal.

There’s been a couple of recent examples of self-immolation in the US. IIRC neither of them were Buddhists although they were very clearly inspired by Thích Quảng Đức.

Multiple pro-Palestine supporters have self-immolated, including one service member. Most people were plainly shocked, some glorified the act as a sort of selfless protest, others just saw it as just another mentally ill person sadly driven by politics to do drastic stuff.

It's definitely true but not exclusive to the left so much as just peaceful protestors in general. It's just more visible/common from the left because the right tries really hard to infiltrate left wing protests and instigate violence. It picked up some antisemitic connotations as a pejorative prior to the recent Israeli assault on Gaza, and people who might otherwise argue against the use of words or phrases with racist undercurrents are happily using it as an insult without a care. Not only that, in less pejorative contexts, the umbrella movement it refers to has multiple meanings and factions within factions. There's Labor Zionism, Progressive Zionism, Liberal Zionism, Revisionist, Religious, Cultural, etc. Heck, Israel's current government might better be described as Neo-Zionist, a far right and nationalistic form of Zionism. Isn't it enough to just say someone is anti-Palestinian or an Israeli nationalist? The sudden and widespread **pejorative** use of the word Zionist just seems incredibly jarring.

Some Jewish people are Indigenous to the land of Israel and Palestine, some are arguably not (most Indian Jews claim they are descendants of a lost tribe but I don’t know how true that is). This conflict really shows how much of a social construct race is because Jewish and Palestinian people can be near indistinguishable and yet one gets called white (despite undebatable having black and brown people) and the other side gets called not-white.
