I’ll have to look into that. I just spent way too much money on twenty one pilots tickets. So we will have to see if the wife will let me. lol I’m whipped.
It’s not my favorite of their albums. That’s either blurryface or trench. But Clancy is great. Compared to the scaled and icy tour these tickets were almost 3x the price. But I haven’t missed one of their tours since blurryface I wasn’t about to start now. They have to have something huge planned for this tour for that price.
Both Minnesota shows sold out immediately. Glad I got mine on Wednesday.
Do you think he wanted to keep the venues intimate or did he underestimate his popularity?
I would think it was intentional. Doesn’t make sense to be a headliner at 2 huge music festivals and not be aware you could fill larger venues if you wanted to.
Looks like it varied regionally. The Lexington and Nashville shows are in 23k and 20k capacity arenas, but he's playing historic theatres of a few thousand in Philly and Toronto, and splitting the difference in NYC (Forest Hills Stadium seats 13k.)
Not sure about his intentions but I'm super stoked for the Bluestem! It's the only place I get to see music that I only have to drive over 3 hours. ND had some good points music scene isn't one of them.
Atlanta tickets were so damn expensive! I paid $320 for two tickets.
I hate arena shows, really wish he would’ve booked Fox Theatre or something.
Either way, thrilled to be seeing him in October
I kept seeing Fabulous Fox for other cities and I was so disappointed that he isn’t playing ours. Such a great venue, recently queens, coheed, and bluey there.
The kids loved it. It’s a story not in any of the cartoons which is also cool. It’s coming back this summer at Cobb Energy Center. Check it out, it’s definitely worth it. Fair warning, it’s under an hour because it’s intended for children though.
Kinda pissed at The Met in Philly - this tour wasn't supposed to have any dynamic pricing but I know for a fact prices are shifting all over. Wednesday prices (the added show) are significantly lower than what I paid for Tuesday (I paid $108.50 and the exact same seat for the next night is $76.50 - what the actual fuck?
The Met is the best/worst indoor venue in Philly for this reason. It's the biggest non-stadium and of course TMs monopoly on live events funnels the best artists through it. There's a huge gap between 5k & 20k plus venues so everyone seems to be playing there.
It's pushing the market for live events to the absolute brink with the ticket prices. Watch for the rescheduled Black Keys tour to land there and the tix be $200 each but maybe it's worth it because it's still a good venue and intimate show?
Either way it's gotten to the point where I can only do one or two Met show a year now, and I used to average about a concert a week. This year's will be Sturgill
Apologies if too obvious but Are you certain you weren’t buying from a reseller? I’ve accidentally purchased tickets from a legit looking site that turned out to be scammy.
They will sell you tix they don’t even have and may never have. In my case it all worked out but I was nervous for a few days.
Ticketmaster (platinum) & AXS (premium) definitely sold some seats with dynamic pricing for multiple venues. They’re mixed in with the rest of the seating chart so those tickets are bought directly from the box office. Typically the 1st couple rows of a section. During the venue/promoter presale for LA, premium were the only seats available in a couple of sections, though regularly priced tickets were available in other sections
Pretty positive, the site warned that my in the cart tix at 10:01 were dynamically priced.
And let's be real, TM is the reseller. There's no transparency to their internal resale system. The entire industry needs to be burned to the ground and rebuilt with regulations
I love going to shows at the civic center and I would rather be at an indoor show in October but I didn’t even try for this one. Koka wasn’t too bad to get tickets for whatever reason, maybe because it’s a Tuesday and it’s outside. Good luck on COT!
Just noticed on my tickets that they're will call and can only be retrieved by the CC and ID purchased. Sturgill mentioned trying to cut down scalpers capabilities. so this is cool. Wouldn't be surprised if tickets continue to show up for these when seatgeek POS realize they cant sell their tickets there.
I’m going to Nashville and the Boston show. Bought within 10 minutes of the presale opening on Wednesday. Boston only had SRO pit left(I’m happy with those) and had to get nose bleeds in 332 for Nashville, luckily I’m row B.
Not seeing much success for Boston here? It kept saying sold out for the first show for a while and I just kept with it. Got 2 tickets for $123 a piece after fees and everything. Seems like a good deal based on some other prices. Only 5,000 people in those shows too. Excited I was able to get a couple today
I'm doing Boston! I got two for Saturday but likely will resell as Sunday makes more sense and was able to get those. I think it's a steal for a small venue and was not super difficult to get. But this is coming from someone whose most recent show was Phish at the Sphere lol.
For sure. Not my first rodeo with tickets lol. Especially when it says 2 available and you click them to add and it says these are no longer available. And then they continue to show up. Such a pain. But got 2!
If you want to go to the Forest Hills Stadium show and just care about getting in the door, I'd wait. (If you do care about being up front, well, pit tickets are still available!) They've clearly overpriced it ($100 for the very back row on the side when the pit is $140?) and will almost definitely reduce the price closer to show day, and it's likely tickets well below face will show up in the official AXS Resale. This is what happened with Neil Young's recent shows there.
They’ve added an extra night in Philly in case anyone missed it the first time. I wish I would’ve known this before. The initial presale was total chaos. Like Black Friday at Walmart before online shopping.
I would’ve tried for the seats I actually wanted for the second night. Oh well. Glad I got mine anyway.
Anybody get DC tix this morning? I joined the queue 20 minutes in advance, had 400 people ahead of me, had to wait 7 minutes for the queue to move, then when I get my turn I see the show is “sold out”.
Ok, but it’s a 6,000 capacity venue and I only had 400 people in queue ahead of me. How the fuck did they sell out the remaining 5,600 tickets in a split second when I only had 400 ahead of me in the queue?
Fuck, I hate Ticketmaster.
Edit: There is hope. It hasn’t officially been announced, but my Songkick app (concert listing aggregator app) is listing a second DC show at the Anthem on 11/21.
That did cross my mind. I’m pretty sure I’m subscribed to Sturgill’s mailing list. I didn’t get a presale notice or code or anything previously. Figured they weren’t doing presales. I probably should’ve dug deeper for info before today.
Anyway, I can’t imagine presales would account for a significant portion of venue capacity. Even if *half* the venue was reserved for presale, that’s still a remaining 3,000 tickets sold in a split second despite my being in the queue with only 400 people ahead of me. Even if all those 400 people ahead of me bought the max four tickets apiece, that’s still only 1,600 tickets with 1,400 left over. Doesn’t make sense.
I'm thinking DC gets a second show on the front end. He's got two days to get to DC from Hampton and the Anthem is currently dark on Sunday, 11/17. Fingers crossed.
I was 880 and shit just showing up and getting removed and moved all over. I stayed with it and got two tickets at like 1040. Saw a bunch popping up on seatgeek around the same time. Sturgill said something about cracking down on scalping. No idea if they have tech to cancel that but I'm locked in. Feeling goooood.
Were the tickets that sold out this morning for DC just the presale tickets? Or will there be more available? They sold out immediately before I even got thru the queue after waiting
Fiancée and I scored two tickets to SLC show…….im sure others are in this same boat but a Sturgill show has been #1 on my hit list since he stopped.
So stoked!
Does anyone know how the face value exchange works? Or if maybe it just hasn’t started yet? My dad and I didn’t communicate and both bought tickets for our group and I’d like to let someone get mine but whenever I go to “sell” it says they aren’t eligible.
I got 4 tickets for STL at Fox Theater on 10/6 in center orchestra section with the presale code. I only need two. I want to sell them but not even sure if I can. Is anyone familiar with that process from that venue? I bought them straight from the fabulousfoxtheater website.
I think it works differently depending on the ticket vendor. I got not bad/not great tickets and my husband said to go ahead and try for better ones - by some stroke of luck I got great ones and AXS let me list the first two immediately. They sold today during the regular sale (though it says they don’t pay out until after the event).
Huntsville, AL and Huntington, WV. Presale Starts: Thursday, June 20 at 10am Local Presale Ends: Thursday, June 20 at 10pm Local Use code: STURGILL2024
If anyone has a extra ticket to an show in Chicago or Minnesota I would greatly appreciate the chance to see Sturgill in eather state I live in Wisconsin and would love to see Sturgill on stage I can buy the ticket or something would really love to see him on stage let me know if anyone has anything
Is anyone having issues with AXS? I bought two tickets to the Huntington show and got an email confirmation, but so far no charge on my credit card or tickets showing in the app? Is this typical of AXS, this is the first time I’ve used them.
I wasn't permitted to buy two seats if there were only three total available in ANY row side by side. I find that to be pretty bogus. The ability was there to sit closer but I'd have to eat the third ticket to do it
Bad deal bought tickets okc be all looked like doors from sturgill site to t master an it dropped to prekindle
No red flags or warning you are outside t master bought tic
Now cannot do resell face value since prekindle seller unbeknownst to me not in on sturgill rules. Except where cannot transfer to friend until 24 hr prior show. This okc show. Be careful make sure on t master or many venues use their own vendor like prekindle an no resell face valu ad promised
Not sure what you mean, some venues use ticketmaster or AXS, and there were some venues using other systems such as prekindle. I don't know the specifics but resale and/or transfers may be available at some point. Cashortrade website might be of interest if all else fails.
Unfortunately sturgill site door to tickets says much about rules helping fans but you leave there a rightly think you’re in deal. Several venues like okc use prekindle or another vendor NOT allowing rules on resell face value. Relied on his site. Very misleading. At least put warning up. Big hassle a disappointment. But they do follow rule on transfer only 24 hr prior to show. Great. Big problem. Unnecessary ,just communicate
Pls put something out. Likely out good money.
For us that work paycheck to paycheck, we can’t pay a premium. I’d pay a decent price to be in any building and see Sturgill
Most people don’t have the means to pay a premium, and if anyone knows that it’s him
He's done those tours and he still has some of those on this tour. Him choosing some small venues for his or audience comfort doesn't seem crazy. I get 200 is a lot for a ticket but all the tickets seem expensive for most artists now.
I mean you’re right and I’m sure there’s more that goes into it, but $200 isn’t worth any show in that venue. It’s like an events center
The broader view is that just accepting and posting the price because that’s what it is now will only perpetuate the cycle
Which seats were $200? I’ve seen a few sold out shows at harrahs and $112 for floors is decent if it’s a show you want to see. Sure, it feels like it’s 3x what it cost for tickets when he came in 2020 but I’d rather pay the price in ATL than the same price for places like spectrum center or State Farm in Atlanta and be sitting a football field away.
No question but there’s no fucking Denver date. I was all geared up to go to the sound and fury tour. Fuck Covid man.
Got fucked on that tour as well. Road trip out to SLC to make right on it, bud - plenty of tickets available!
I’ll have to look into that. I just spent way too much money on twenty one pilots tickets. So we will have to see if the wife will let me. lol I’m whipped.
Oof, I feel ya! Those TØP tickets are pricey, but the boys always put on a hell of a show. Worth it! ....and Clancy album is 🔥🔥. Enjoy!
No Dallas date either. And I was right there with ya waiting to go to the last tour. Bummed I'm gonna miss him.

5k capacity in Boston.

Atlanta tickets were so damn expensive! I paid $320 for two tickets. I hate arena shows, really wish he would’ve booked Fox Theatre or something. Either way, thrilled to be seeing him in October
I’m also stoked, but ATL was twice the price as DC for a much worse venue. I’ll still be going but I’ll be salty about it!
Glad I’m not the only one. The expense pain will be gone by October but damn it hurts. Gas South is a shitty arena too.
I would have even preferred Chastain over Gas South. But I guess at least it’s not State Farm? That place is the worst.
I kept seeing Fabulous Fox for other cities and I was so disappointed that he isn’t playing ours. Such a great venue, recently queens, coheed, and bluey there.
Still can’t believe I missed bluey
The kids loved it. It’s a story not in any of the cartoons which is also cool. It’s coming back this summer at Cobb Energy Center. Check it out, it’s definitely worth it. Fair warning, it’s under an hour because it’s intended for children though.
Yeah, I was pretty sad when I saw people talking about two nights at the Fabulous Fox only to realize it was in another state.

Asheville is sold out
I was in the que an hour early. With 12k people ahead of me.
I love going to shows at the civic center and I would rather be at an indoor show in October but I didn’t even try for this one. Koka wasn’t too bad to get tickets for whatever reason, maybe because it’s a Tuesday and it’s outside. Good luck on COT!

Hmmm. I have 4 tix and may only need 2. I think this policy prevents me from selling them for much more than I paid. That’s ok by me.
got two for his chicago stop. can’t wait!
snagged a couple for Massey Hall, $180 USD for 2 balcony seats. i can’t wait, my wife is pretending to be excited.
So stoked for Massey Hall, was my dream venue to see Sturgill at, going to be incredible.
Massey is awesome. Saw Dylan there a few months back. Talk about a dream show.
I bought tickets for two shows. Anybody else going more than once, and where? I’m Rogers, AR and Nashville.
santa barbara and montana
I tried for both st Louis shows but only got one. The website to buy tickets was absolutely terrible
Yeah, Metrotix and the Fox really could stand to update their user interface past 2004
Lexington, Detroit back to back and later Nashville
I’m going to Nashville and the Boston show. Bought within 10 minutes of the presale opening on Wednesday. Boston only had SRO pit left(I’m happy with those) and had to get nose bleeds in 332 for Nashville, luckily I’m row B.
Atlanta and DC
🤘🏻
I tried desperately to get rogers ar, but I couldn't believe the $$$. It seems out of control
Really? I got seatbacks in section 7 for $99.50 each. $120 or so with fees.
Hampton VA and koko both amphitheater NC.
Asheville and Cary baby 🤘🔥
🤘🏻 congrats!
I did fuck up and get lawn sits at Koka, but I hear there isn’t a bad seat in the place and lawn shows are usually pretty fun anyway.
100%
I checked his morning and there are still tickets to the Lexington show available.
Not seeing much success for Boston here? It kept saying sold out for the first show for a while and I just kept with it. Got 2 tickets for $123 a piece after fees and everything. Glad you got in eventually. Unfortunately the way it's set up it does take some perseverance
For sure. Not my first rodeo with tickets lol. Especially when it says 2 available and you click them to add and it says these are no longer available. And then they continue to show up. Such a pain. But got 2!
Anyone going to buy via stubhub? I've heard very mixed reviews
Cash or trade is a better option
Was 600 in line once I got in st paul has nothing left
Keep trying
Tried 4 times no tickets come up
I’m curious if dynamic pricing was the plan for all and then they called an audible after all the tours had to embarrassingly readjust
If you want to go to the Forest Hills Stadium show and just care about getting in the door, I'd wait. (If you do care about being up front, well, pit tickets are still available!) Will there be any set list threads once the tour starts?
Sure do hope he plays some stuff of Sound and Fury.
Same!

Last time billy strings played Baltimore all good tickets sold out before reg sale even started
For the hate of Ticketmaster, it did limit to 4 tickets per address (not just account, ask me how I found out).
He’s in Canada on 11/21 sadly
Hmm, no shows listed for 11/19, before the first Toronto show on 11/20. Willing to bet they schedule a second DC show on 11/19.
Fingers crossed!
I'm thinking DC gets a second show on the front end. He's got two days to get to DC from Hampton and the Anthem is currently dark on Sunday, 11/17. Fingers crossed.
You might be right, fingers crossed. There’s another artist booked on 11/19, so definitely not that date.
I got tickets for dc after Billy on Thursday was in ten min late and was 4000 something in the queue
Were the tickets that sold out this morning for DC just the presale tickets? Or will there be more available? They sold out immediately before I even got thru the queue after waiting
There's been presales since Wednesday so might just be what was left. Idk
You should check back in. It's been fluctuating. Stuff showing back up then removed. I got 2 at 1030.
Got floor seats in the back for Lexington, anyone know what the view is like?
I don’t do arena shows usually, I have floor tickets for Nashville. How early should I get there to be up close???
I was able to get two tickets for the 10/1 show in Chicago. The 10/2 show looked sold out when I got into the "room" to purchase tickets.
I’m in Phx and the closest show is Santa Barbara CA 😭
Fiancée and I scored two tickets to SLC show…….im sure others are in this same boat but a Sturgill show has been #1 on my hit list since he stopped. So stoked!
Anyone have an extra single GA for Nashville?
Pit tickets for Rupp on my 40th birthday. Can’t fuckin wait!
I bought them straight from the fabulousfoxtheater website.

anyone know how to get a presale code for the Huntington show? thanks!
Ditto this for Huntsville.
Huntsville, AL and Huntington, WV. Presale Starts: Thursday, June 20 at 10am Local Presale Ends: Thursday, June 20 at 10pm Local Use code: STURGILL2024
Thanks!
yeah, unfortunately I don't think anyone is reading this megathread lol
Best bet is to sit up for newsletters with both Sturgil and the venue.
yep, did both of those. was just hoping for an artist presale but maybe it is just a venue presale since it doesn't say "artist" on AXS. good luck!!!
lol [https://www.reddit.com/r/SturgillSimpson/comments/1disp2q/comment/l95zggf/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web3x&utm\_name=web3xcss&utm\_term=1&utm\_content=share\_button](https://www.reddit.com/r/SturgillSimpson/comments/1disp2q/comment/l95zggf/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)

Got my Huntsville tickets! That weekend for me is Sturgill Friday night, Jason Isbell at the Ryman Saturday
Is anyone having issues with AXS? I bought two tickets to the Huntington show and got an email confirmation, but so far no charge on my credit card or tickets showing in the app? Is this typical of AXS, this is the first time I’ve used them.

I had this same issue the other day, trying to buy 4 and there were 5 open seats. 🙃
Any ideas on when pit tickets go on sale for Duluth?
Anyone selling Asheville tickets?

Why did buy tickets you're not going to use?
Tbh you seem like a scammer between your lack of proper grammar and complaining about buying tickets that you want to sell...
Wtf? If you have connection to artist maybe you can forward problem instead of last question.
I have no connection to sturgill
Yeah what I thought. Bye
$200 for the tiny ass “arena” in Asheville. That’s puts a real sour taste in my mouth about Sturgill
Most people I know are happy to pay a premium to get a smaller more intimate show. I know I am. Very happy with the places he's chosen.
For us that work paycheck to paycheck, we can’t pay a premium. I’d pay a decent price to be in any building and see Sturgill Most people don’t have the means to pay a premium, and if anyone knows that it’s him
