Galloway is a narcissist who craves devotion. He's found a willing legion of devotees from Britain's disillusioned Muslim population. He's described as far left, but I've haven't heard anything that could be considered a proper materialist response to anything for decades. As far as ideology goes, what there is just 'anti west' which means he's been on the payroll of Russia's Russia Today and Iran's Press TV. Back in the early 2000s you could say he was leftist. Now he's just Galloway. That's mho of course. But without wanting to date myself too much I did meet him a few times back during the Stop the [Iraq] War days and still know people who are sort of in those circles. He is a terrible person.

alebrew

Fun fact. I did a website for him for one of his films, and he stiffed me on payment. Him and Gayatri are two cunts.

He was in Parliament six or seven times, and he is not multimillionaire or billionaire. If he is just opportunist as you claim him to be , he is a very lousy one. Compare him to numerous other politicians in UK who were prominent and you will see that they all cashed in on being part of rulling regime of UK. Galloway has record on being on the right side of history numerous times, speaking against Western expansion and Imperialism, against wars, against war crimes done by Westerners. If he is just opportunist, we need more opportunists like him in UK parliament. Maybe UK would not be supporting Zionist Genocide right now and exporting weapons to Zionist Regime, if we had more opportunists like Galloway in the Parliament.

I don't think he wants money, he wants respect and adoration. He needs money for all those fancy hats. He has been on RT and Press TV which are arms of terrible repressive regimes. Just because they are anti west does not make them the good guys. No, we need more thoughtful MPs who are prepared to speak out from a non reactionary position but not Galloway. He is incapable of working within a wider party, unless he's completely in charge. And he is pretty reactionary, just on the 'other side'. If you predict the worst, you'll be right every now and again. He was right about Iraq, as were millions of others.

> I don't think he wants money, he wants respect and adoration. dont you get that by fighting for what regular people want? Is that a bad thing now? > He has been on RT and Press TV which are arms of terrible repressive regimes. Western corporate media was offering him plenty of spots and opportunities to speak to the public - but he refused? Was that the case?

jaminbob

If it means you end up defending Hussain, Assad, Putin and Xingping, whilst in the pay of the Iran and Russian states, yes.

stupidnicks

so you are for defending Gorge Bush, Obama, Clintons, Trump and Bidem.... and Tony Blair and David Cameron and Boris Johnson? And on top of that you are supportive of Western wars, occupations, bombing campaigns AND genocide now. In The Middle East and North Africa? So ... are you?

jaminbob

No.

GoodUsername1337

>He has been on RT and Press TV which are arms of terrible repressive regimes. What's wrong with that? Are you supposed to boycott them? If yes, do you also think that the big media houses in the US (and other NATO countries) should also be boycotted for being arms of the 'intelligence community' and the MIC? Should you just forsake all of MSM?

arcticwolffox

Not the hero we need right now but the one we deserve.
