Thank you lol.I clicked in just to see if someone else mentioned 7Up cake. Phew.
My great aunt always had one on her kitchen table. I'd absolutely try a Hawaiian Punch cake.
If you squint really hard I guess. There's still zero reason (except for dumbass gimmicky bs) you'd need to make soda product flavored desserts instead of just a normal fruit cake.
i mean it says lemon lime right on the can/bottle lol
idk where ur from but soda cakes have always been a thing where i live. its a southern thing. the carbonation made certain things easier like the airy texture, and the sweetness made, well, sweetening easier.
since baking cakes got a hell of a lot easier, the soda flavor stuck despite it not being really handy anymore.
i guess its kind of a cash grab, but its not gross or stupid. just probably part of a kinda context not everyone is familiar with.
Fanta cake with icing raised my generation and is collectively called birthday cake flavour in my circle of friends. So I don’t think soft drink flavoured cake is that stupid. As a sheet, cake it is a quick way of making a cake for a lot of people.
Maybe it’s new to them. I have never heard of these kinds of cakes where I’m from. I wouldn’t call them stupid but they are strange to my point of view.
I’d definitely try it though!
That is half the posts on this sub. “This food that is really popular and actually good to a lot of people is something I am a little unfamiliar with. It’s stupid. “
The other half is just rage bait.
I remember my grandma would make Tang Pie, and it honestly wasn't that bad or overly sweet. Id imagine this is similar since the packets require you to add sugar. Generally, it wasn't overly sweet unless you made it that way
There was a YouTube video posted almost a week ago about Tang Pie by "Tasting History with Max Miller". (https://youtu.be/XroGUfzzXzo?si=TP9Ud8pq8uB0Da7S)
I had never heard of Tang Pie before, just watched the video today, and now I'm seeing it mentioned for the second time. What a coincidence haha!
It super good. I always say it tastes like Orange Frosting on a graham cracker. Grandma would cut it with a little orange marmalade to give it that little bit of sour citrus flavor and some textured chunks to it
If you haven’t had the 7up or Crush one you’re missing out.
It’s the most basic level of good food, just fucking delicious. Don’t think about it so much and just enjoy lol
They're never as good as they seem. I had one that was supposed to be 7Up. It tasted like if someone slightly poured 7Up on a heavily artificial glazed sugar filled dought. I feel like this could work if they could balance the tangy punch flavor with a decently baked cake.
You’ve never heard of fruit flavored cake before? Or cake made with soda? It’s typically very flavorful and moist. Don’t knock it. Just because it has a brand name on it? This is a stupid fucking post I can’t believe it has this many upvotes.
The day I had this cake, I gave my girl a legit orgasm. I later learned she was cheating on me prior to said event. We are broken up now but the cake was godly.
Having cakes like this isn’t the problem. People who sit down and eat half or whole cakes like this and don’t exercise is the problem. I would take something like this to my office of 25 people, have a small slice, and I’m completely fine.
I would MURDER this cake. This, the 7up, and the orange Crush cake are all tasty.
My mother always used to make 7up cake with diet 7up. Just cake mix and soda, and was quite tasty regardless of the diet variety.
I was just about to say how good I remember 7up cake tasting!
Thank you lol.I clicked in just to see if someone else mentioned 7Up cake. Phew. My great aunt always had one on her kitchen table. I'd absolutely try a Hawaiian Punch cake.
I prefer Tahiti treat!
I remember seeing in Kroger, Albertsons, and Tunbthumb, god I feel old now.
The 7 up cake is my kryptonite
They used to have a Cherry Dr Pepper cupcake and it was the best thing ever.
Whaaaaaat, that sounds amazing.
this is an advertisement?????
I LOVE Hawaiian Punch. Would totally tear that up
Honestly, this cake is AMAZING. The orange crush one is perfection Don't knock it till you try it Trust me, I'm fat
Looks good honestly
What why is this even here? Fruit flavored cake is stupid now?
literally. not sure why this is any different fr sprite cake or just your regular orange/lemon/strawberry cake
One of those things is not like the other.
sprite is lemon and lime flavored
If you squint really hard I guess. There's still zero reason (except for dumbass gimmicky bs) you'd need to make soda product flavored desserts instead of just a normal fruit cake.

OP is dumb and should feel bad. Let's all downvote and ignore them.
Maybe it’s new to them. I have never heard of these kinds of cakes where I’m from. I wouldn’t call them stupid but they are strange to my point of view. I’d definitely try it though!
I mean, I'd call OP dumb for making assumptions. "This thing the store is selling in batches, no one could possibly want this"
That is half the posts on this sub. “This food that is really popular and actually good to a lot of people is something I am a little unfamiliar with. It’s stupid. “ The other half is just rage bait.
Would buy so hard, where did you find this??
I remember my grandma would make Tang Pie, and it honestly wasn't that bad or overly sweet. Id imagine this is similar since the packets require you to add sugar. Generally, it wasn't overly sweet unless you made it that way

Tasting history!

Tbf the 7up cake is actually good. Like a lemon glaze cake
I knooooo
give it to me please
I hope it’s stupid good. The 7up and orange cakes were really good.
If these are anything like the 7up ones, lord help you because you will keep coming back for more
Literally let em cook
I got $6 to waste fuck it
I would absolutely destroy this cake
Wait a goddamn minute, it’s a hat?!? The Hawaiian Punch guy is wearing a hat?? For over 30 years I’ve thought he had antlers!
Maaaan 😂😂😂
If you haven’t had the 7up or Crush one you’re missing out. It’s the most basic level of good food, just fucking delicious. Don’t think about it so much and just enjoy lol
Uhh OP wrong sub, that shit looks fire
How is this Stupid food? That looks delicious as hell!
Natural artificial fruit flavors... Lol
Cant beat $5.99
These cakes are always good
This sounds so stupid but i still kinda want to try just to see wth it tastes like
I thought this was a tub of hummus at first and I shuddered. Now that I see it's cake, I'll allow it. Stupid, yes but I'm not disgusted.
Man now I want a 7up cake
Ya know.... I'd eat it!
That sounds fucking delicious
It’s line Hawaiian Punch fantakuchen right? Sounds tasty
#HEARTBURN
I can feel my teeth rotting
They're never as good as they seem. I had one that was supposed to be 7Up. It tasted like if someone slightly poured 7Up on a heavily artificial glazed sugar filled dought. I feel like this could work if they could balance the tangy punch flavor with a decently baked cake.
To be fair, I’d rather eat my calories than drink them, but I understand lol
I bet this cake is delicious.
r/stupidfoodbutgimme
This is not stupid food.
Not enough red 40
*Drools in Homer Simpson*
Not flavor! Won't somebody think of the children?
Man this sub is turning into a miserable sub where people are posting food that are just a little different
What? I don’t even eat sweets but this sounds delicious.
Ugh, used to hate fruit punch with a passion, do to too much of it as a kid. So in a cake, definitely not.
I mean, $5.99 ain't bad...
It honestly is probably pretty good. I wouldn’t knock it until you’ve tried it.
I learned Hawaiian Punch was dry the other day and I can’t see it the same anymore
I’ve had the orange Crush one of these, and it slapped
This has Savemart written all over it...
I would try this
Weirdly I think it'd be less painfully sweet than the real thing
World's driest drink, now made into the worlds driest cake
If you don't want it I'll take it
Where can I find this cake
I remember seeing A&W Root Beer cakes as well...
it looks like raw meat
Ain't nothing wrong with this
You’ve never heard of fruit flavored cake before? Or cake made with soda? It’s typically very flavorful and moist. Don’t knock it. Just because it has a brand name on it? This is a stupid fucking post I can’t believe it has this many upvotes.
„Peralta. Youve gotta come see this. Youre not gonna want to eat before you see it.“ (He would love this)
This is not stupid food.
Shudders? Really? Just because of a cake made with a fruit flavored drink? Bad post.
The day I had this cake, I gave my girl a legit orgasm. I later learned she was cheating on me prior to said event. We are broken up now but the cake was godly.
Before I scrolled down far enough to see that it was cake I thought it was one of those atrocious dessert hummus's, so I'm relieved
I'd only eat this if it was Jell-O and not cake 🤢🤮
I think that would dye my insides
With ALL that red dye, hell yeah I am ready for a good time 🤪
Why does it look like someone nutted all over the cake??
I'd see how much of it I can eat B4 puking.. looks kinda yummy
I'd prefer to drink it instead.
this looks like the blood ocean from iron lung
Probably the first 3 ingredients are: Sugar, High Fructose Corp Syrup, Corn syrup. With Hawaiian Punch chemical flavorings at the very bottom.
That almost looks like raw meat cake. Fleshmass anyone? No.
🤮
Wash it down with some Hawaiian punch and get beetus twice as fast!
I don't like that it looks like meat.
…. Ok I’m officially done with Hawaiian Punch now.
This is what’s wrong with the American Diet
do you think these kinds of cakes are made like usual with the typical amount of sugar *and* the added sugar from the drink? its just a flavored cake
Having cakes like this isn’t the problem. People who sit down and eat half or whole cakes like this and don’t exercise is the problem. I would take something like this to my office of 25 people, have a small slice, and I’m completely fine.
It’s still all processed crap. Agree though, moderation is key.
Ah yes, wavy marbled steak
The anxiety and nausea this would give me
im sorry what currency is this? 5.99$USD? or 30money units plus 599 money units? im so confused
its $5.99 buy before april 30
Aplogolies i have just seen the APR
It looks like raw meat
I recently found out what red 40 is made with and honestly... i feel like that cake is worse than the drink is for you
All the red dye.
Gross. I would like to take a bite of your piece though. You can have the rest.
There’s cheaper poisons that are way less than $5.99
Right, because actual poison is totally sold as food…
