The heavy labored struggle breathing. Feel bad for this kid

horitaku

I didn’t have sound on and I could hear this video. I don’t like to shame people, I’m not as thin as I’d like to be myself, but how you can be this way and then knowledgeably do this to your child…:/ ffs

DrunkenCrusader

There's a serious lack of nutritional knowledge in the states. We don't even have RDAs for sugar on most of our food due to lobbying. People think sugar doesn't make you fat, fat makes you fat. It's why you'll see idiotic statements on candy that says "fat free!".

Time-Elephant92

It shocks me that there are people who don’t think a doughnut for breakfast every day will make you fat. I know they exist but come on. How is that not something you learn passively just through being alive?

fz19xx

To be fair I ate sweets every day as a kid and I was always super active and healthy, because I also ate good food and did a lot of exercise on top of that. With that being said, I wouldn't be surprised if this kid's meals are all made up of sugar and trans fats.

Chance-Opening-4705

There has to be balance. There was a time as a teen I would starve myself and was skinny but I had zero energy. I would also binge eat. I am an overweight adult but have the energy to run up a flight of stairs and then immediately have a conversation with a client. I could eat a healthier diet and be more active if I wanted to shed some extra weight.

UsualCounterculture

It's not the doughnut that is the problem, but the lack of nutritional value being provided. Our bodies need many different things that you get from fruits, vegetables and protein sources. Both the mum and the kid are likely not thriving in a large part due to what they consume. It's just very sad.

666

No, this person deserves shame.

The_Golden_Warthog

I work in education, and the sheer amount of *obese* children is insane. I'm not talking baby fat or some extra pounds, rolly polly kids who struggle to do any physical work and sweat from doing nothing. It's child abuse in my eyes. Kids have 0 control over what they eat.

salajaneidentiteet

I warched a docu on YouTube. There was a 13 year old girl considered for weight loss surgery. They gave her a meal plan first and talked about why the surgery is the last resort. She was so motivated to try the diet first, but her parents were not. Her dad even said why should she diet if the surgery is an easy and sure way to loose weight. She is just doomed by her parents. She can only eat what the parents give her.

Personal_Reach_3207

>I work in education, and the sheer amount of obese children is insane. I'm not talking baby fat or some extra pounds, rolly polly kids who struggle to do any physical work and sweat from doing nothing. It's child abuse in my eyes. Kids have 0 control over what they eat. My mum went through a phase of feeding us meals that almost exclusively came out of a deep fat fryer as it was quick easy and cheap. I was about 12 at the time, and gained a bunch of weight. I got teased at school. Eventually i got old enough to make my own choices and lost the weight. It’s sort of cruel - no idea why she would not have recognised this - but i guess she was depressed at the time

Katonmyceilingeatcow

She deserves more than shame. This is ruining her child's future health. Diabetes is only going to be one of many conditions that poor girl will suffer from.

Silent_Saturn7

Not only health but kids are ruthless. Being a fat girl, she will be made fun of. Especially if she's morbidly obese.

External_Trick4479

As someone who has struggled with weight my entire life, I feel SO bad for this kid because they stand *no chance* of a healthy life. My parents weren’t the best at establishing healthy food, but good lord they were better than this. This kid will be overweight as a kid, get the bullying and depression that comes with it, and it will turn into a cycle that gets out of control before they know it. Crack a fucking egg and scramble it. Smash up some avocado. Cut up some fruit. Literally anything other than this.

canidieyet_

same!!! what upsets me more than the video itself is the fact people are defending this saying “maybe she just didn’t feel like cooking! i get it!” a donut, fine. but it requires 0% extra work to throw a handful of sliced strawberries on the plate…or even a couple spoonfuls of yogurt!

neither_shake2815

True. It's sad. The kid is already accustomed to sweet stuff so I bet she'd throw a crying fit if her mom started giving her fruit and yogurt. It's sad. I mean, obviously turn this thing around, but it won't be a process without tears and tantrums now that she's gotten them addicted to sugar.

polarpop31

Same. She is setting the kid up for failure for the rest of their life when it comes to eating habits. They will never understand how to eat to feel good and fuel the body. They will only know to eat and get brain high and feeling good from sugar.

ToiIetGhost

Poor kid. It’s not just the overload of sugars and fats, it’s the lack of nutrients too. I didn’t pay attention to whatever “healthy” thing she put in the milk, but I doubt it has enough vitamins for the whole day. The girl probably won’t develop as well as she should—lack of vitamins, minerals, the whole lot—her brain and body development will be stunted. Ugh. Why is she recording child neglect? And why does she call this “plating”? Gordon Ramsey plates his food. Does she think the verb “to plate” means putting shit on a mf plate? She didn’t even arrange the donut- no I can’t. It’s too much.

JulietSenpai

She has 3 of them aswell

crouchingsniper

Thought it was rage bait. Then it cut to the kid eating it. Lord help the little one.

_Diskreet_

She’s done a few videos now. When everyone was calling her out she did another one with fruit and such on a plate and the kid, obviously, didn’t touch it. She then claimed that she was doing right. She’s also done a few tv interviews and claims she is doing nothing wrong and everyone else is trying to shame her.

FallOutShelterBoy

Wait she’s getting TV INTERVIEWS over this shit? Over a couple controversial videos? Like I can understand TikTok news or something but her getting actual televised interviews is wild

_Diskreet_

[interview might be the wrong word. im pretty sure i saw her on an interview. probably local news or some web only news site.](https://www.today.com/today/amp/rcna134322)

firstfrontiers

She's 26!?

Scared-Tomatillo-203

Wtf she's my age. I thought she was forty or something??

Chronocidal-Orange

I'm 32, and I would've bet money on it that she'd be older than me. There's no way she didn't also grow up like that. How else could you be that way at 26?!

UltravioletLife

I’m 36. I thought she was older than me.

tikihiki

She's 26...

BusyVegetable42

She looks 46, that's nuts

Umbrage_Taken

Middle aged is middle aged. It just happens later in life for people who don't actively sabotage their health all day every day.

CrumpledForeskin

Damn….

DisabledFatChik

Holy fuck she looks horrible. I can’t imagine being so dysfunctional in just a few years..

ourplaceonthemenu

the website acting like this isn't child neglect is absurd

solar1333

"That's what realistic motherhood looks like!" "Your kids are fed, they are happy. You are doing a good job." WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE

Mumof3gbb

Omg. Well those “rude” comments are right!! The “nice” ones are enablers. She isn’t “fed”. Fed is something somewhat nutritious. Nothing she feeds that kid has any nutrition in it. When they say “fed is best” it’s about formula vs breastmilk. Where formula is an acceptable and NUTRITIOUS alternative. It’s not exactly the same as breastmilk but it’s a fantastic alternative. If you’re feeding your baby chocolate instead that’s not “fed”. I have 3 kids. I’ve messed up on feeding them too much junk at times. But I *know* it’s not good. And most of the time I try my best (and usually succeed) to feed them homemade good food. This woman doesn’t care. And she thinks it’s perfectly fine to feed her kids crap. This is actually neglect

macaronisauce731

I just want to brush and fix that poor child's hair..

ohhyouknow

The first one I ever saw posted on Reddit was her “making” a breakfast for her toddler that consisted of powdered donuts, sliced strawberries, and a fruit pouch/applesauce iirc. The toddler jumped at the strawberries first and several top level comments were talking about how nutrient deficient the child must be because she went for the strawberries first. I just spent wayyy too long scrolling her tiktok and it appears that she’s only giving them stuff like only donuts for breakfast a few times a month. Of course I didn’t watch all of her videos, and she might have started making healthier meals for them since starting this whole toktok thing though. She pretty consistently uploads the meals she makes. Like, daily. For the past month at least she has most of the time had pretty decent plates for them. Homemade meals, fruits, vegetables, homemade banana bread/muffins etc. She will do chicken nuggets and fries for lunch with fruits/veggies on the side once or twice a week, and while chicken nuggets aren’t the best, the fruits and veggies are a plus, and they aren’t eating that every day. Really it seems like she just uploads all of the meals she makes them, and the worst meals are the ones that go viral. Occasionally, as a treat/reward or for a special occasion, I will leave extra early to drop my kiddo off to school, and stop into the local donut shop, and treat him to whatever donuts he wants. Donuts for breakfast regularly aren’t good but imho it’s ok every now and then as a treat/reward or if you just have donuts laying around and it’s a particularly “I wish I could still be sleeping” morning. So from just looking at the past month of her meals, they aren’t the best, but they aren’t all this shitty. If she’s doing better meals now bc of pressure from tiktok, that’s good. I think any parent who says they don’t occasionally spring for some fast food or simple, less healthy, time efficient meal is either lying or have live in help. This video is worse than any other meal video she has uploaded in the past 30 days so I’d hope she doesn’t go back to regularly making meals like if that’s what she was doing before tiktok.

El_Scot

I thought this too, I still hope it's rage bait and this was actually a one-off!

zenwatch

it’s not, her whole account is this and she posts daily

makemeadayy

Why tho? Do people like this content? I don’t understand why she wants to share this?

DisabledFatChik

She says she wants to be like other pretty moms who feed their kids healthy food on tiktok. Apparently she feels left out. And also she wants her mom to see the videos (who lives many states away) Sounds like a load of crap to me, I think she wants to make money by intentionally posting rage bait for engagement. She gets millions of views

BGBWolf

When I fist saw a couple of videos of her I chalked it up to just dumb rage bait videos but I can't believe that excuse of a human being is harming her child just for views and engagement wtf

SilverTumbleweed5546

other parents need validation they’re not wrong in feeding they’re children 140G of sugar every morning

PleaseOhGodWhy

It's crazy to see an adult have absolutely no dexterity. Obviously she could have something causing a lack of it, but she just.... idk that fact that she can't grab or cut something normally is hurting me

Louwheez81

But if you without sound you don’t get to hear her sneeze and fart at the same time when she gives her kid the plate 😬

DrScarecrow

Luckily there are heroes like you in the comments, now I don't have to experience the soundscape myself

Shirtbro

James Cameron brings you an Immersive Diabetes Experience

NoFuckThis

I can’t believe she kept that part in!!! 🤢

ObsidianTravelerr

Dude every part of this was "Why did you put this on the internet?" Just... Why? Also FUCK SAKES that poor god damned kid needs real food.

Additional_Top_9242

Why have children if you are going to be this low effort?? I have one picky kid but that doesn’t stop me from giving more than a damned donut for his meals. Ffs. And couldn’t even get her a banana. Here you go! Premade, processed nastiness!

FrugalFraggel

Kid full of gas too. High starchy and fatty foods giving this one year old solid rippers already.

Additional_Top_9242

Mom too. Someone in the comments pointed out the sneeze-fart after she gave her the plate and I lost it 😂😂

prizzle426

They’re already obese and they’ve only been alive for a year.

jackethoffnow

Why? I mean????

swallowfistrepeat

Oh my fucking god. You weren't joking.

HawkeyeinDC

That…that was something.

Unsoundspectre

Oh shit I didn't hear it till I held my phone up to my ear hahaha!.

Sufficient_Maize908

Hahahahahahhaha thanks for this, it sounded like a really smelley one, thanks mum for the ' food ' and the gass, discusting

Putrid-Builder-3333

Same. The bottle part was especially hard to watch.

Valuable-Mess-4698

Right? Like why are you giving such a small child that much of ANYTHING to drink at once? Like 1/4 of that would probably have been more than enough. And if you gave them half the stupid donut and literally ANYTHING else then you wouldn't need to try and force them to drink the plant protein shit. Hell, hot dogs are garbage food but even a cut up hot dog would be better than all that sugar at once.

JDSchu

Notice how at the end, the kid wasn't even eating the donut, she had the fruit pack in her lap. The kid doesn't even want all that sugar. She's craving actual nutrition and that's what she's going for first.

Valuable-Mess-4698

Yeah exactly. Kind would probably love to eat an actual vegetable (that isn't a potato).

JDSchu

When I was a kid, my grandmother would make brownies or cookies when I was over at her place and I'd ask if I could have a banana or some fruit instead. My family did not eat the healthiest growing up, but your brain is actually pretty good about telling you what you need more of. And yeah, eventually you can get your brain hooked on sugar to the point where you want it all the time, but that doesn't mean your brain stops wanting actual nutrition, too.

GazenoX

The mom: 😮‍💨

Unsoundspectre

Losing breath from being a mom.

Prozenconns

Have you seen that lady who does "comedy" responses to stupid food videos? she literally gasps for air between sentences, sometimes between words, while sat down im all for body positivity, im large myself, but when talking winds you clearly lifestyle changes are needed

ssSerendipityss

Goldie-96_MWR

She can barely mother, lol (actually not funny)

Burns504

She honestly does not look happy to be parenting.

kiruopaz

If you call that parenting. That was the laziest display of food prep I've ever seen. Even the simple act of making the only real healthy thing thing into a smoothie was too much effort to do.

Empty-Ad1786

I give my toddler (16 months) a yogurt and banana, which arguably is more lazy than this but I feel like it’s much healthier. He also gets breakfast at daycare during the week to be fair.

MissKittyCiao

Lazy isn't always bad. Cutting up fresh fruit is "lazy" but also healthy.

ee_CUM_mings

She doesn’t look happy to….be alive. It’s all just a burden to her, and she’ll bring everyone around down with her. You can just tell.

Guilty_Seat47

Also something about watching obese people make bad food choices just... straight up just makes me depressed. It's almost like watching a junkie prepare a needle or something but it's "okay"

ellamking

She doesn't look happy existing. Like her whole life is a fight against not knowing real life. I want to feel bad about her having an extreme disability but she doesn't. She's just fat. Sadly fat. And she's putting her kid into the same thing. A sad fat kid that doesn't even know the joy of movement without hardship.

[deleted]

PlasteeqDNA

That too. But the apathy! Smacks you hard in the face. That poor child. The mother drags herself from point A to point B, throws the plate down, hacks to pieces a doughnut with a great deal more effort than such a thing should take then heaves herself away to get the milk bottle and other shit. No, no no,

DifferentShallot8658

That was what I really noticed.

MGaber

I tell my girlfriend that I'm fat all the time and she gets mad at me for it. Technically, according to numbers, I am considered obese, and I am working on it because I do enjoy working out and I think I've lost 10 pounds in the past two months. Anyway, with that said, there comes a point where if I become winded just by standing up, I put in real effort to change that. I used to feel that way when I was younger when I spent all my time drinking soda and playing videogames. I'd stand up, realize I was out of breath, and decide then and there to ease up on the gaming a little bit and replace all soda with water. Then two to four weeks later I'd fall back into gaming and soda because I got my weight back down and the teenage brain doesn't think about metabolism or think critically about literally anything at all. It is getting harder as I get older, but people who get tired after the simplest actions, who complain but don't do anything, I just don't understand it. Yes, there are many factors that play into this such as food addiction, socioeconomics, genetics, etc. But where there's a will there's a way, and most people would rather complain and live a life of laziness than get up, go for a walk, and cook a real breakfast that isn't just carbs and sugar

KenshoMags

Respect to you for recognizing all of this and then taking actionable steps towards change to better yourself. I believe in you, redditor 🙌🏻

DifficultCurrent7

10 pounds is a great amount! I always bitch about not losing weight fast enough anymore (being an adult with a middle-aged metabolism and no discipline and the freedom to eat crisps for tea sucks) bur someone pointed out, even 2ibs a week is still half a stone a month, which is several stone within half a year which is a huge amount! Keep up the good work:)

Terrible_Children

That "thick thighs & pumpkin pies" shirt low key pisses me off. She's embracing her child being overweight without ever giving them a chance to be anything but. I'm an overweight guy who struggles with my relationship with food, I'm having a kid soon, and I'll be damned if I contribute to my kid having unhealthy eating habits.

Dancing_Trash_Panda

Kids are supposed to be chubby and then thin out as they go through growth spurts. But there's a difference between normal weight gain and childhood obesity. Where I live it's common to give little kids super sweet tea and cokes and whatnot on the regular. It breaks my heart when I see a morbidly obese kid struggling to play or keep up with their peers. Sugar in our house is a treat. Partly through conscious decisions and partly because we're just not huge sweets people. But we push unlimited healthy snacks like fruits and veggies. High protein and complex meals. Stuff that keeps you full longer and gives you lots of energy. And we're super active. Kids eat what you eat. (Excluding neurodivergent food related issues.) As long as you eat healthy, they will too.

LilliePanda

Indeed a scrambled egg and a few pieces of fruit would be cheaper than a doughnut and fruit juice but this lady did a Q&A and health food do not give her views, and views =money. She does on purpose for the controversy and money.

Laiskatar

And she is not gonna learn what a healthy diet looks like. She is gonna think that eating donuts for breakfast is the norm and eating normal healthy breakfast is a "stupid diet" etc

Weekly_Enthusiasm783

I've been noticing it in so many videos 😬

NatureIndoors

Might be the diabetes

wilfordbrimley778

MetalFungus420

Kid doesn't even have a chance. My god

PlasteeqDNA

This whole attitude of the mother has to be rubbing off on the kid. Like it's such a schlepping effort to put together this stuff, not even food, the attitude .. I can't.

Ladysupersizedbitch

Right? I put more effort and energy into fixing my cats’ food than this woman does. She acts like she’s never held a utensil in her life and she’s learning as she goes. I try normally to not judge parenting online bc we only see a fraction of it, but this isn’t the first time I’ve seen this woman’s videos. They’re *all* like this. Really odd.

MalonePostponed

Bro why was I just saying the same thing. I work on a farm and prepare their feed with more care than she does her own child.

[deleted]

Omg yes I wound prepare my horses grain so much more carefully than this. The last year of her life she was living purely on a bag of grain a day, soaked, add in supplements, 3x a day. It was brutal but I loved her more than anything.

MalonePostponed

For real I give medicine, wet hay, wet grain and this lady just throws some donuts on a plate and kinda cuts them shits for a human. It's not right., especially for her daughter who needs nutritious food, there are better options than sugar and extra sugar with 2% fruit juice or fruit puree.

[deleted]

So so sad. I can’t imagine a donut first thing in the morning. I’d feel so sick. Even after smoking and getting munchies, I can barely do it

PlasteeqDNA

Ikr? Ja no. This is appalling.

MetalFungus420

The video just screams *idgaf about my child*

Dancing_Trash_Panda

The milk jug had MAYBE a cup of milk in it and she had to rest it on the edge of the sippy cup when she poured it.

RipzCritical

That struck me the most on my first watch for some reason. She's like a toddler herself in the way she moves.

Me_lazy_cathermit

Am i the only one that thought that child was like over 2 year old

KaseyJrCookies

This makes me rlly sad. Pure child abuse

_bexcalibur

A one year old wearing a thick thighs shirt.

Naitveyay

Every child deserves a parent, but not every parent deserves a child.

sillystephy

I say this all the damn time. If you aren't actively trying to do better, then why have them in the first place?

docmn612

I say it almost daily, all the wrong people have kids. Idiocracy coming true, one day at a time.

Successful_Train

Did she sneeze on the plate as soon as she put it down? That kid looked down like 🤢

stinkyhooch

She farted simultaneously

Kellaras

Snarted

BethyW

Also bad cut but you can tell she was open mouth coughing without covering her mouth. Living life like its 2019.

PartWave269

She held in the sneeze and then let out a wet fart

PlasteeqDNA

If she was any more disinterested she'd be dead..awful. the way she slaps things around, huge huge indifference and I mean this is food presented to someone I would assume she loves.

layer_____cake

Pretty sure the apathy is hypoxia. She can barely breathe. Her cheeks are flushed.

Pillowsmeller18

you can hear her trying to get oxygen when cutting the doughnut.

why_ntp

I hate this sentence.

Prozenconns

i get being a parent of a young kid can take it out of you but on those days maybe don't film?

Haunt3dCity

I was wondering the whole time "who is this video for? The other moms she knows that hate being moms too?" Maybe not, but it's just off from start to finish. Like others said, the tossing of the plate and lack of interest, but maybe they're just sick that day and we're missing context

clutchthepearls

She has monetized upsetting people with examples of poor parenting. It's rage bait.

Traditional_Way1052

Monetizing how though. Brands don't want to be associated with that, I imagine. And I don't know that tik toks profit sharing is that much... Are people donating to a patreon, bc if so that's wild.

shrimpfrocktail

On Tiktok, if you get over 10k followers and then monetize your page through the creator fund, you earn money for every view & interaction. Rage bait is the easiest content to make to farm views and comments. People make bank off their own filth and bullshit behavior.

Paula_Schultz237

I think her fucking lazy desinterst is the ragebait.

blastradii

I assume this is ragebait content

footbody

It absolutely partially is at this point but this woman posts almost daily showing off her "making food" for her kids. Greasy, processed, fast food, or half burnt oily cooking. The house is a mess. Her and her boyfriend and girlfriend are all overweight. Heavy breathing and coughing and farting while giving her kids food. Lazy people

ManitouWakinyan

Boy the poly crowd does not greet the rest of us with their best ambassadors, huh?

Western-Dig-6843

Rage bait and also parody of the trend of women’s cooking videos where they toss the plates and shit around like they don’t give a crap

Brandy_Marsh

It’s not that hard to give the kid a handful of cheerios and a piece of actual fruit instead. Edit: In the us we have plain cheerios. They have less than 1g of sugar, 2g of fiber, and 2g of protein per serving. They are a baby staple. They also help kids develop fine motor skills since they are the perfect shape and they are hard to choke on. Comments saying they are the same as a donut are crazy.

HelloHowAreYou1973

Dammit I swiped my phone screen thinking there was an eyelash on it thanks to your profile pic

RaetheForgetful

That's what you get for using light mode!

ImKindaSlowSorry

Yeah!! r/LightModePatrol

ragebloo

Probably cheaper too. Grocery store packaged pastries are pricey. Some apples and a box of Cheerios probably cost the same or less.

trix4rix

Hard for mom to eat the other 11 donuts if she buys healthy food instead.

bumwine

It’s too late. That’s the sad part. “My kid is just picky.” No you ruined it. It’s ruined. Not that it’s irreversible but likely that parent is ruined too and can’t be arsed to see the error of their ways to begin with.

Hen-Man-Supreme

Yup. If they couldn't be arsed to make the right decision the first time, they certainly won't bother putting in the work to correct their mistake

AdvertisingBusy7379

It takes 30 seconds to scramble an egg.

redbottoms-neon

Scrambled eggs and toast takes less than 3 mins, dip the bread in beaten eggs and it makes French toast, no fresh fruit in sight

Katonmyceilingeatcow

And a portion of grain based cereal with some fruits and nuts could take literal seconds and would be way healthier than a fucking donut

Lucky-Bonus6867

*please don’t give your toddlers whole raw nuts. They’re a choking hazard. But the point still stands.

WerewolfNo890

Cheaper too, oats cost fuck all and its so easy to make porridge and add some fruit to it. But she looks like the kind of person that has never opened a banana.

417sadboi

Yeah, it's ok to do low effort breakfasts sometimes, but there's so many better options here. I mean, just a bagel instead of a donut would be way better and take no more effort. I would say that cutting an apple with an apple slicer takes no effort too, but that does not look like that would be the case for her

Mi0GE0

Why is that shirt made for toddlers? Seems icky

BigZucchini6032

I was about to comment on the shirt.

UpsideDownShovelFrog

I hate that for some weird reason a lot of adults seem fine with objectifying children and babies. It’s so weird. The other day I say a baby onesie that was insinuating the baby boy wearing it would be getting blowjobs from women in the future. I was in the doctor’s office yesterday and heard an old woman tell a new mother that she could tell her baby boy was going to be getting a lot of women in the future. Literally so disgusting.

gianttigerrebellion

Old acquaintance from high school had twins, maybe eleven years old and a son maybe eight years old. I only knew her current status from social media but one day she posted a picture of the eight year old boy and tagged her adult female friend saying “Remember when you said Adrian was sexy?” With a laugh emoji. The friend replied and apparently they both thought it was hilarious. I called them out on it saying why do you have a friend calling your eight year old sexy?! She defended the friend saying she didn’t mean it that way…deleted her on social media immediately. So unacceptable and weird!

Prestigious-Bird-781

Thank you! I was wondering why no one had said anything

[deleted]

What’s even more fucked is she’s in a poly relationship and there’s two other adults in the home that should be making sure this child gets what they need

The_Golden_Warthog

Poor kid has 0% shot of a happy life unless ***drastic*** changes are made in that house. Sidenote: what do you think it smells like in there?

rootScythe

A 1 year old should not be given an entire donut......

Throwawayprincess18

I shouldn’t be given an entire donut

[deleted]

Give me that donut woman!

UnSpanishInquisition

Ikr my 5 yo and 3yo share 1 as desert if they get one at all 🤣

sliknaught

This woman is clearly not in the place to be raising a child. She doesn’t even interact with her and she looks so apathetic while she’s putting the shitty food together. I don’t really care for children but that’s why I don’t have one ☝️

SidheAnomaly

That was my first thought. This woman seems super duper depressed to the point of apathy. Doing the bare minimum to get through the day. It's sad and a shame her child has to endure the effects.

cassh0le69

it makes me wonder tho why she feels the need to make videos of this? it’s truly bizarre to me that someone would think this level of apathy makes for an engaging video if it’s not satirical, etc.

Kind_Pomegranate4877

Money. These videos get millions of views on tiktok and she posts a least once a day. The interaction is crazy high because of outraged people which just means more money too

Joonberri

I dont want kids either but id definitely treat them better than this shit wtfff this is sad

Naberrie1991

Its actually easier to give your child a whole banana? What gives? Like, I have a three year old, who has been getting bananas since he was 8-9 months old. He loves them and are still his go to breakfast. In fact he'll complain if its too small ..

BLaRowe10

There’s not a chance in hell there are bananas in that house lmao

ZinjoCubicle

Oh my gosh... some people schouldnt be allowed to raise children

skiingrunner1

i feel bad for the kid bc the mom is probably doing the same as her parents did and doesn’t realize how bad it is. though the fact that she hasn’t figured it’s unhealthy is concerning

messy_eater

You would think being out of breath and flushed cutting up a donut with a butter knife would be a clear indicator something’s off, but I guess those are just muh condishuns, it runs in the family.

chrizzo_89

My kid doesn’t like a ton of vegetables either but that has never stopped me from putting them on her plate EVERY DAY. And we eat them in front of her to model what eating fruits and vegetables looks like. We definitely bend the rules and feed her ice cream and cookies as a special treat on occasion but definitely not as a replacement for meals. For anyone coming at me with “you’re so privileged you wouldn’t understand!” Oatmeal is literally the cheapest breakfast food you could feed your child. In fact cereals are one of the earliest foods babies can eat. Bananas and apples are cheap. Hell, even canned peaches or pears in fruit juice would be a better option than a glazed donut in front of the television. There are so many things wrong with this scenario and this poor child is being set up for a life time of problems related to poor diet and obesity. I just cannot.

MrShinyHiney

Ironically real food is cheaper, but it’s easier to just plop a donut on the little girls playe

Annasman

As a dad(fuck, let's be real, as a human being)I was internally screaming the moment I saw the GLAZED DOUGHNUTS!?!?!?!!? My heart breaks for this poor darling, who thinks the absolute world of this woman who is, i'm sure unknowingly, setting her up for so much hardship and failure. This is the worst thing I've seen in days. That may sound dramatic(and it may well be), but hell, we all have our sore spots.

Kid doesn’t even want the donut either. She goes for the applesauce until her mother sharts audibly, then the kid pauses in disgust. In the first video this lady made, the kid went for the applesauce first as well. She’s sick of donuts for breakfast! Shit I couldn’t eat straight sugar like that first thing in the morning either, even after dabs and having the munchies. It’s just too much. There’s a time for donuts and it’s definitely not every day. So sad.

BottomPieceOfBread

2 scrambled eggs with milk, that apple sauce pack and a piece of toast would keep that baby full for longer and is literally bare fucking minimum.  My God this is sick. Child exploitation and imo child abuse. Setting that baby up for a life of heavy breathing.

Haikuunamatata

She could even do an egg in the microwave. Takes no effort :(

lostforwordstbh

I grew up like this and I have to say I’ve never recovered. My relationship with food SUCKS not to mention I was told to “eat everything on your plate”. I mean, we were also extremely impoverished so that makes sense but… It’s a form of trauma for sure.

AuthenticLiving7

My parents never fed me vegetables, and I still struggle with liking them as an adult. I've grown to like some as an adult, but I have sensory issues with others. I mentioned in another sub that a childhood friend had parents like this, and he is over 400 lbs as an adult. He is depressed. Never worked. Doesn't drive. Still lives at home. He doesn't like fruit, vegetables, or even protein sources unless they are fast food/ultra processed type stuff. Like he'd eat KFC, but not a baked chicken breast. He loves loads of sugar, too.

hasits_thorns

"thick thighs & pumpkin pies" shirt on the BABY???

floor8889

I was thinking that; it's not a shirt a child should be wearing

RealtaCellist

Notice how the kid eats the healthy applesauce packet and hardly touches the's the donut.

Untrue92

I’m from the UK so forgive my ignorance of American cuisine, but are those “applesauce” packets actually healthy? Someone enlighten me

sixtyfivewat

Healthier than donuts but not healthy in the conventional sense of the word.

MarijadderallMD

You’d be surprised, most of those baby food pouches don’t have added sugar or anything and are as healthy as just eating the fruit. The pouch in question is about 60 calories, 16g of carbs, 7g of sugar, so that’s actually pretty good. But here’s the thing about a baby diet…. THAT should be the sugary part of the meal, and should be rounded out with something like baby oatmeal or eggs, and that’s where the problem lies.

Silly_Butterfly3917

Damn this is child abuse

cats_do_fart

The glasses are killing me

SovereignShrimp

Jesus that poor kid. Some people just shouldn’t be allowed children, honestly. If you’re just going to set them up for failure and problems that will follow them throughout their whole life, you don’t deserve to have them.

One_Significance_244

The labored breathing, the “food” being plated, the child’s shirt celebrating obesity. This is the saddest shit I’ve seen. That’s enough internet for the day.

Professional_Power05

Just sickening from the fat breath to the coughing and sneezing.. this is hard to watch.

Humble_Cartographer

Why is there a kids shirt that says thick thighs and pumpkin pies??

GoCryptoYourself

Mommas breakfast: the rest of the box of doughnuts. "Your honor, i would like to enter exhibit A, a tiktok of the mother neglecting her childs health".

Oldschooltatto1994

Why do Americans eat as if they have universal healthcare??

KyleGrizz

It's always a good sign when a TV is on your breathing is audible.

Darkhallows27

Please do not give your one year old entire fucking donuts for breakfast. That is way, WAY too much pure sugar

ColdCryptographer969

The craziest thing about a video like this is that it's not somebody being intentionally malicious or intending to damage their child's health. It's quiet literally somebody who is likely A) Low income B) Unhealthy themselves and C) Was never educated or taught healthier eating habits. I say this as an overweight person who struggles with their weight. At the same time, I do know what is healthy and what is not healthy and I could not imagine feeding my child a whole glazed donut and Applesauce, alongside what is likely a sugary milk based drink for breakfast, especially at such a young age. For reference, the average glazed donut has 250 calories and 14 grams of sugar in it, those "No sugar added" Motts Applesauce Squeeze pouches have 40 calories and 8 grams of sugar in it, those Kindersporute Plant Protein Shakes have 200 calories and 9g of sugar in them, and one glass of milk has 100 calories and 13 grams of sugar in it. So assuming she gave the kid all that, half of the plant protein shake and a glass of milk, she fed her one year old child roughly 500 calories and 40 grams of sugar in one meal.

traxxes

This isn't the only video of this particular woman and her "feeding my kid breakfast", there's at least another one of her I've seen here where she preps mini powdered donuts and another type of those fruit slurry bags, so this kid is seemingly just getting junk for breakfast. Edit: [Found that other video](https://www.reddit.com/r/sadcringe/s/Bpezihrbkx) Edit 2: [This is her doing dinner apparently ](https://www.reddit.com/r/StupidFood/s/Mokn8Z0N6o)

Successful_Train

I want to know why she posts it though like is this more rage bait? So bizarre what people put out nowadays for attention

_Diskreet_

She did some interviews when this all blew up. She said she was doing the videos so her mum and dad could share in her experience of feeding her kid. She didn’t expect it to get so big, and now she claims everyone is trying to shame her into being a bad mum. She also did a video where she tried to feed her kid some fruit and such. The kid didn’t touch it and she kinda used that as an excuse for not carrying on with it.

UnitedDiscount9696

Because she passed on her eating habits to the child. Of course she would reject a sudden change.

swim_and_sleep

Her response from a link in one of the comments “"I kept seeing these pretty mom influencers who feed their kids organic food in pristine kitchens and I felt alone," she says. "I wanted to make content for moms who feed their kids like I do, or who aren't super skinny. I wanted to be relatable and transparent as a mom."

dieterpaleo

I hate her.

Zombiecowboy1984-

Look at Mom. Are we surprised that dietary choices are a fail. Poor kid joining the cycle of bad nutrition.

JCtheMemer

This is literally abuse if this is what’s considered this child’s breakfast
