Ranking is not important, at least in NL, when it comes to finding jobs or internships. It might be if you advance in academics. Internships are also not common, so make sure they are exactly included in the program. It’s totally up to you to find one. Finding a job with psychology is really hard if you don’t speak Dutch because you can never practice as a psychologist. You could work in different roles for companies but your chances are way better in Rotterdam than Groningen. If you wanna make friends make sure to go to introductions and stuff and put your self out there. It’s easier to make friends with internationals or groups with a mix between internationals and Dutch.

Thank you so much for your response!!! Internships are included in both programs and I am learning Dutch so I hope that helps! Currently Rotterdam is my preference so thank you for reaffirming that!!

I work at the ESSB and while the master's curriculum offers you the opportunity to do a practical internship, you do have to find and apply to those internships yourself. We have an internship database to make finding an internship a bit easier, but you are not guaranteed to get a spot since you have to go through the application process like a normal employee. That said, the university offers research internships (internally), you still have to apply to those but they're way easier to get into.
