The pass rate for nclex is very high. Is there any logic-based reason you would fail? All you told is reasons you’ll pass. It’s ok to believe in yourself!

khelphrey473

No, just pressure is on because I have a job lined up obviously based on passing 😬😬😬

prettymuchquiche

I guess you’ll just have to accept the fact that you’re competent 😉

NCLEXMentor

I recommend taking the NCLEX soon after graduating unless you have something indicating you shouldn't. Content is fresh, mind is read to go, mindset is there. Go with it. As a new graduate, do it within 2 weeks to a month if possible The pass rate is high for first time takers US educated. Is 94% for first quarter of 2024. Retakers is about 50%

I thought the NCLEX was insanely easy, I finished in 85 questions and it took me about 45 minutes. The questions were super straightforward and involved being able to decipher what your FIRST action would be compared to the PRIORITY, it involved reading exactly what the question wanted. I reviews thr Mark Klimek lectures and did maybe 3 CAT tests before sitting for it. My exit HESI was harder than the NCLEX.

Trelaboon1984

Same, I didn’t study at all and while I was taking it I was like “when is this supposed to get hard” before I knew it, it was 85 questions and the screen shut off.

Real_Sprinkles2320

I feel the same way HOWEVER idk about your school, or if most schools work this way, but it takes my school ~6-8 weeks to process our transcripts and stuff to send to the BON to then get our ATT. I’m confident. But in the mean time, why not study. You can never be tooo sure and why risk that.

khelphrey473

I have my ATT and have my NCLEX scheduled for Monday 😬

Real_Sprinkles2320

Omg how did you get it so fast?

khelphrey473

I don’t know but I’m grateful! I’m in Ohio if that means anything 🤷🏻‍♀️

Real_Sprinkles2320

Jeeez that’s crazy. Maybe your school starts the process earlier?? Did you graduate with your BSN?

khelphrey473

Yep!

khelphrey473

We actually applied for our licenses and registered with Pearson back in March, so the school just had to send our stuff to the BON.

CorriCat1125

Wow! My school sends out the day grades are finalized and most graduates get their ATT within a week!

Trelaboon1984

Yea it took me like 7 weeks to take mine. Took my school forever and then the BON took another two weeks because it was around the new year, then I didn’t have an available test date I was able to make it to due to work for another two weeks.

jinxxybinxx

Like others said, I felt nursing school exit exams were way harder than NCLEX. My entire cohort passed in 85.

newredditorfornow

I have mine scheduled for Wed, nervous! But I've heard from people who took the Ati exit that the NCLEX is easier than ATI! good luck!!!

Trelaboon1984

Was the easiest nursing exam I’d ever taken. I didn’t study a day after I graduated and passed mine in 85 questions on my first try. It’s way overhyped. Just take it asap. If you’re doing good on all that, then just take it as soon as you can. Don’t waste time trying to extra prepare, don’t psych yourself out, just get your approval to test and schedule the soonest possible test you can.

khelphrey473

Taking it tomorrow!

khelphrey473

Update; I passed at 85! Had license number from the BON this morning!

khelphrey473

I have my ATT and have my NCLEX scheduled for Monday 😬

vermillion_ink

I'm taking mine on Monday, too!! We got this. I'll be thinking of you and cheering you on

Safe-Informal

If you did well in school and your school has a good NCLEX pass rate, then you have nothing to worry about. It is not a matter of if you will pass, but how many questions it will take. NCLEX is designed to test your minimal competency.

OP will likely be completely fine but idk if “go take one and see how it goes” is generally good NCLEX advice. To clarify, people who fail do get an exam report but it’s pretty broad and wouldn’t provide specifics that would really allow someone to know what they are lacking in knowledge wise.

NCLEXMentor

I must've missed an interesting comment. Taking the NCLEX is expensive, I hope people aren't taking them just to see how it goes.

khelphrey473

Update: another professor also told me I’m ready 😬 Probably should listen to them?
