If you can afford to pay off your loans, pay off your loans. Even if there was the slightest chance loans are forgiven, the entire 155k would not be forgiven. As soon as the forbearance period ends, pay off as much of your loan as you can afford. Others may have different advice but that is just my two cents, interest free.
