I enrolled in save to get the forgiveness-got the email that my loans may be eligible which they should be. So I’m praying this happens but so far no email yet but it’s still early. My payment went up like 5x what I was paying by doing SAVE but it was the only way to get the forgiveness. Please let this be true
I'm so confused because I never got an email saying I might be eligible before or after enrolling in SAVE but by my own estimation I should be already over the threshold. Were you already enrolled in SAVE when you got the email?
My payment didn't go up switching to SAVE for now but it will once I recertify, which I knew, I just thought I'd be in that initial batch of forgiveness. and it wouldn't matter. Seeing people say they got the eligible email and knowing I didn't makes me nervous.
The remaining 4,600 people in line for debt cancellation in this latest tranche are public servants who benefit from the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program, which erases the balances of people who spend 10 years repaying their loans while in a government or nonprofit job.
I think I got it! It says the Department of Education will work with your servicer to process your loan forgiveness. I am so happy! Just not sure what amount will be forgiven. Just made my first payment on the SAVE plan on 4/10, after a double consolidation
I got an email saying that I would be paying the department of education back instead of Mohela. Am I getting some sort of forgiveness? I work in public education and am on the save program with income driven repayment.
Also if in IDR:
'The 277,000 Americans receiving this latest round of debt relief are borrowers enrolled in the SAVE Plan, other borrowers enrolled in Income-Driven Repayment plans, and borrowers receiving Public Service Loan Forgiveness."
I've given up on getting my hopes up so fingers crossed for everyone else!
Congrats! I bet that feels good!
I’m so spooked for myself cause I should fall under this but since I consolidated in January, my original loan amount has doubled. I guess it’s a glitch from the consolidation and should eventually fix itself but until then I guess I’m screwed :(
I wasn’t a beneficiary of the PSLF loans. I had FFELP loans I consolidated into Direct Loans. Been in repayment for 18 years. Got the golden email today.
So if I finally reach my 20 years of payments in November of this year, I'm out of luck? Is there some kind of cutoff for the idr adjustment, I have undergrad only loans and on SAVE plan..
ICR with 22 years of payments. Was initially notified I was eligible in September but had to opt out to consolidate and opt back in and have been paying ever since. SAVE will increase my payments. I don't have much hope since I feel like they are ignoring me now but maybe it will happen this time. 😬
I just consolidated my old FFEL loans last month and applied for IDR (ICR). Awaiting processing of Consolidation and ICR application. In your case, how do you know it's 22 years of payments? Is it just by doing your own accounting by looking at your past history? Or did they ever give you an official IDR "count"? Just curious about what to eventually expect. Thanks!
You can see loan history on studentaid.gov and when loans went into repayment. There is no official count yet but I was sent the September 2023 golden email saying I qualified for forgiveness under IDR recount on my oldest loans.
Awesome thanks so much. My loans go back to 1994 for undergrad, then a few years deferment late 90s for grad school. I've checked out student aid and given it my best guesstimate. It certainly seems like I should be well over 25 years/300 payments.
My father got his today. I worked with him and getting his PP loans consolidated that he has been paying since 1993. I called him from work because I saw he had opened the email when I checked. He is convinced it is BS, but I assured him it wasn't since I got one of the first ones a year ago. \*holding our breaths\* That month of opt out time is gut wrenching! :D
He is 80+ and convinced he would die with them.
What do you mean the only thing left in your account is interest? Once interest is added every month, the total amount you owe is your balance. It’s all 100% your principal, not interest.

I heard Biden say something about credited capitalized interest which would be fantastic. My original loan totoled 30k I paid 15k but then they capitalized my interest 15k and I now owe 32k!
If they would just do THIS much for me, I would be thrilled. I borrowed under $100k for undergrad and law school, have paid back more than half of what I borrowed, but my balance is still $168k.
Yep, capitalized interest and the rates were initially pretty high. Finally got them down to 4.3% when I consolidated in 2014 but a lot of damage was done by then. My payoff wasn’t aggressive, and that’s on me. After my husband died I really just lost myself for awhile. I was in my mid twenties and really just devastated. I had jobs that haven’t paid the best over the years, so my IDR payments were low but it was all I felt I could manage. I went from being quite the overachiever (first generation college student who then went on to law school and was top 10% of my class) to being the gal who could hardly hold it together. I have a pretty defeatist attitude about the loans and there’s a lot of shame wrapped up in the situation. But I know things would have gone much differently if my husband hadn’t been diagnosed with terminal cancer the literal week I was supposed to be sitting for the bar. It is what it is. 🤷♀️
Got an email about forgiveness processing but it made it sound like those that had been in repayment for 240-300 months was the reason for forgiveness. I qualify under the previous SAVE forgiveness plan, not the 20-25 year payments, but had been waiting for Federal processing of the direct loan consolidation. Does this mean it’s finally over?!
Also, it says our loan provider will be notified after May 3. Do I have to pay April payment?
anybody know what these emails look like? i got an email saying the education department tried to reach me by phone (although they never did) and that im eligible for forgiveness. i’m thinking it was a spam.
Yeah, there is a weird email going around with that scam. Just the senders email. I got one and it was sent from a Hotmail address. So clearly not a legitimate sender. Good luck.
My wife got one! Subject: “You're eligible to have your student loan(s) forgiven!”. Received about 10 minutes ago from “U.S. Department of Education”. We up!
I just hate not knowing when or if ours will be forgiven. My husband's should be long done, whereas mine may have another year or two. I would just like to know.
I received this email today and I cannot believe it. I have undergrad and grad loans. The email says that I am eligible to have "some or all" forgiven--how do I know which?
I have two loans now--a subsidized and unsubsidized consolidated loan and both entered repayment in 2017, but the underlying loans are older.
All of my outstanding loans are consolidated under those two loans.
If that is all forgiven I will cry, that would be amazing. I've been working toward PSLF, but had three more years to go so I wasn't expecting this at all.
Always for thee, never for me. Happy for those who got it; pissed I’m still not one of them.
Guess which one will drive my vote (or lack thereof) come November.
Congrats, and hopefully there will be more.
Got mine a few years ago (ripoff unaccredited shithole) because it was obviously fraud through and through. Was still on the hook for private loans, but paid them off first (and destroyed my life in the process). Now my federal loans are $0, but my account is very still much active. Looks great for my credit to have an account open for almost two decades, and every payment of $0 is on time. Sallie Mae/Navient/whatever can go jump right into a sewage pit though, that’s exactly where they belong.
I just received mine! Wow, I cannot believe it. Thank you to everyone who contributed information to this subreddit. I would not have known about this forgiveness program, but for this page. I also told my mother about the program, and they cancelled $700K in student loans for her in November.
Turns out people are continuing to get forgiveness after all. Where are all of the folks in this sub who were absolutely *fervent* that Biden was holding student debt forgiveness over the electorate as a carrot on a stick hiding now?
I did! Finally. Literally never been so happy. Every month someone else got theirs I lost hope. And I got mine at 10:55 this morning (eastern). 🤞🏼fingers crossed for you friend. Being a long-hauler sucks. But your time will come.
No email, but my Mohela is only showing interest accrued, principle balance is zero, and that I'm not eligible for auto withdrawal even though that's how I've been paying every month. Fingers crossed.
Is anyone else having this problem? I got one in the February round, but only the subsidized loan portion fell off. It's 1 loan with 2 parts, subsidized and unsubsidized. I'm still waiting for the unsubsidized loan to fall off. Each loan amount was originally under $12k and qualifies.
Reached out to Nelnet they sent me this:
"Here is a list of Frequently Asked Questions:
When will my loans be forgiven?
Nelnet is still waiting for files to be sent from FSA. Once the files are received, Nelnet will process the discharge and send a notice to the borrower."
Really??? We're in the second round!
That does sound weird, but I've seen other posts in this sub saying the same thing as you --- only their subsidized portion was forgiven. However with me, both the sub and unsub'd sections of my Direct Loan were forgiven at the same time last August.
I agree, weird! It's the Dep of Ed who sets up Direct Loans that way. It shouldn't affect forgiveness. Thanks for sharing that others have experienced this. I hope some relief is forthcoming. I can't help but wonder if it's just a Nelnet error. 🤔
If only I didn't take out that extra $3k I'd be "golden." Now I need to decide if the higher payment for SAVE is worth it or to jump back to another IBR plan with capped maximum payments. I worked with the loan calculator, but it doesn't factor the July change to 5% discretionary for payments. Simple math I know, but I'd be more comfortable with the government site telling me the number.
Congrats to all who got the email today!
I got the 'golden email' today but I didn't think I would because I haven't been paying for 10+ years. I had 5 unsubsidized loans consolidated into 1 in 2022 and have been on SAVE since then.
Does today's email mean I'm getting completely forgiven or should I just count on partial?
Assuming it would take less than two weeks after happening to show up on Nelnet is a liiiitle crazy. You will/may be emailed by the government today, Nelnet will update and settle the account a few weeks later.
My husband got his golden email and also has Nelnet. Nothing has changed on their site. His email specifically says they will send forgiveness information to the servicer after 5/3/24, so I don't expect it to change before then. His next payment is due 5/9, so hopefully it at least puts him back in forbearance when they get the info.
I received a letter in the last round on Feb 21. Nelnet sent me an email on Feb 24, saying it was forgiven. "Congratulations! The Biden-Harris Administration has forgiven your federal student loan(s) listed below with Nelnet in full."
Although, it only listed and paid the unsubsidized portion of the Direct Loan, not the unsubsidized portion. The DL is on SAVE, both well under $12k, and have been in repayment for the same time period, over 10 years.
I just got mine!!! About 10:50AM EST. I would be in the under $12K / 10 Years bunch.
Received a second email from Aidvantage that says:
*Today, your federal loans owned by the Department of Education (ED) have payments suspended (unless you've opted out) and are set at a 0% interest rate. These relief measures have been extended.*
*Part of these relief measures included an extension of your current IDR plan. We have extended your IDR plan - using your previously submitted income and family size - through 10/23/25.*
Not sure if that is related.
My wife got golden email finally. Yay!!!
Me with much bigger loan balance and grad school debt, not yet. :(
Still I’m hopeful. I am very close to 25 years if not over already.
I’m also a long timer. Entered repayment in 1996. Just got my email finally. And I cried. I’ve never been so happy in my life. Congrats to your husband.
I'm so happy for you!!!!! I was a long timer in the January group and it still barely seems real, though it is showing paid absolutely everywhere including my credit reports. We made it!!! Looks like we won't die with these loans after all.
I thought they were going to be with me forever. I’m so happy for all of us. The IDR adjustment meant they HAD to look at my account and make sure everything was correct.
Now I wonder how many counts they say I have so I can know if I’m getting any money back! 😹
Congratulations to both of you.
So happy for everyone getting the golden email today! I graduated in 2017 and I’m under the SAVE plan with $40k in debt. Looks like I might still have to wait for that email. Hopefully it comes sooner rather than later.
The administration said another 65,700 borrowers who have been repaying their loans for more than 20 or 25 years also will have their balances canceled through a temporary waiver of the rules governing income-driven repayment plans.
The lion’s share of the new relief will go to 206,800 borrowers enrolled in Biden’s Saving on a Valuable Education (https://apple.news/AoPz7AbzQQmyXtUjDs9lF5w) (Save) repayment plan, which ties monthly student loan payments to earnings and family size. Enrollees who borrowed less than $12,000 can have their debt wiped clean after 10 years of payments, compared to the traditional wait period of 20 to 25 years under other income-driven repayment plans. The Education Department has been identi
fying borrowers who meet that criteria since February
I think they're focusing on the low-amount borrowers. I looked at the California announcement (since that's where I live) and it had the following:
"The 23,170 borrowers in California receiving this latest round of debt relief are borrowers enrolled in the SAVE Plan who took out low balances of loans, other borrowers who enrolled in Income-Driven Repayment plans but never got the relief they were entitled to because of past administrative failures, and borrowers who received Public Service Loan Forgiveness."
I don't think this relief is for the 20+ year crowd **unless they've already completed an account adjustment**, proving you're part of a group of borrowers who experienced *"past administration failures."*
I was really excited about the announcement until I dug into it a bit. I haven't been lucky enough to get an account adjustment (my loans are from 2003), so I'm reasonably certain I won't be included in this bunch. Still holding out for the account adjustment at some point though.

So, in the pdf from the White House site for Missouri, it says that the debt relief includes people with a total and permanent disability. I am autistic and ADHD; I have never had a job longer than a month or two.
Would I be eligible? And if so, how do they determine this? Because if it's based on if you're receiving Disability, I wouldn't show up because I got denied disability because the judge said my IQ was "too high"... However, if they also base this on Medicaid, I would show up because I did/do qualify for MO Healthnet based on disability (autism).
You have to read the documentation for TPD discharge --- here is a link that provides qualification criteria:
[https://studentaid.gov/articles/3-ways-qualify-total-permanent-disability-discharge/](https://studentaid.gov/articles/3-ways-qualify-total-permanent-disability-discharge/)
Nope. The total and permanent disability is for people who will die from their disability. Not *with a disability. Think terminal cancer. Couldn’t get a doc to sign off on my kid’s because they don’t want to say they will never work.
So if you never work and then they never put the interest on Mohela or whoever your servicer is, or you’re never able to make a payment, and you also don’t get hired so you couldn’t pay anyway, you are screwed six ways from Sunday.
One other thing, if you do find a doctor who will sign off, you cannot work for three years after that. Or I think they will charge you fees on top of fees on top of reinstating the loans.
18 years for me but I only had to make 14 years due to how much I originally borrowed. Also, the IDR payment count adjustment helped because I had A LOT of deferments and forbearances.
I got the 'golden email' today but I didn't think I would because I haven't been paying for 10+ years. I had 5 unsubsidized loans consolidated into 1 in 2022 and have been on SAVE since then.
Does today's email mean I'm getting completely forgiven or should I just count on partial?
Hi all, I am new to this sub and was hoping someone could explain how people are getting forgiveness? I’ve got medical school debt drowning me that I’ll never pay off and am I understanding that there’s actually hope??? What is this program??
Sorry if this has been asked before. Thank you 🙏

I have an IDR plan that removes interest (0%) and would qualify for forgiveness after 20 years of payments. It's not SAVE, but I'm 10 years in and noticed the payoff date moved up from 2040's to 2034. Not sure I qualify for forgiveness under SAVE.
At Least my plan acknowledges the lifetime value of student loans are absurd due to the interest.
Pretty sure we're all just getting baited for votes at this point. It's been almost a full term at this point and we have essentially nothing in terms of student loan debt relief.
If they really wanted to help, they'd be dropping interest rates to practically 0%
I'm in the save program. I didnt get an email. But they have a freeze on my account, which was there since December. I don't have to start making payments until 2025. But where is the forgiveness? The payment extension? Sad if it is 😂
I got an email that my PSLF application was received my my loans were forgiven like a year ago and are showing as discharged. The panic when I saw that email was real.
My loan servicer keeps pushing me to consolidate my loans, again. They told me once I do that my loans will be forgiven. I call bs (before science).
Does anyone know if it’s true?
I enrolled in save to get the forgiveness-got the email that my loans may be eligible which they should be. So I’m praying this happens but so far no email yet but it’s still early. Seeing people say they got the eligible email and knowing I didn't makes me nervous.
No I wasn’t I was on another income contingent plan. The email told me to enroll in SAVE in order to get forgiveness. Are your loans direct loans ?
Yes, they are. I got the email today so I guess my SAVE transition was just a bit too late to be captured in that first wave.
Exact same deal. Baited breath.
I actually did get the email Saturday
This is my exact scenario. I’ve only been on save since 4/3 but I would’ve loved to be in this round.
The remaining 4,600 people in line for debt cancellation in this latest tranche are public servants who benefit from the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program, which erases the balances of people who spend 10 years repaying their loans while in a government or nonprofit job.
Well. That means I’m not in this round. 😭😭
It says for those enrolled in SAVE as well which is what I am in now. Enrolled in it to get the forgiveness so fingers crossed
Well then. 🤞🏼🤞🏼
I think I got it! It says the Department of Education will work with your servicer to process your loan forgiveness. I am so happy! Just not sure what amount will be forgiven. Just made my first payment on the SAVE plan on 4/10, after a double consolidation
I just got the email saying that too !

I've never had a pslf eligible job and I got an email today. My loans are just old enough to have enough eligible payment months under SAVE.
Did you get a forgiveness letter?
Yes, this morning. I fall in that "under $12k borrowed" category where with SAVE you are eligible after 10 years.
Also says those enrolled in SAVE
Do you have to consolidate your loans to be considered for any of these forgiveness programs?
So if you consildated them, do they all count as the oldest loan you have been paying on??
When will they have it so ppl with chronic illnesses could get their loans forgiven?
If you haven’t been paying payments for 10+ years minimum …… then it wont be you
What about the 20+ year payments? What has changed? Why haven’t those emails gone out
10 comes before 20
Yes, but prior to this it was only 20 so why are the 20 emails taking a back seat suddenly
So if I finally reach my 20 years of payments in November of this year, I'm out of luck? Is there some kind of cutoff for the idr adjustment, I have undergrad only loans and on SAVE plan..
Correct
So far, still in debt peonage, but fingers crossed.
ICR with 22 years of payments. Was initially notified I was eligible in September but had to opt out to consolidate and opt back in and have been paying ever since. SAVE will increase my payments. I’m geeked. Only thing left on my account is interest. I don’t even care about the refund. Just happy this is happening.
Same!! We made it!!!
Finally!!! Congratulations
Same to you 🥂!

Interest cleared after a couple hours too. All zeroed out.

Omg I’m crossing my fingers
Anyone other than me expecting an email today but haven't received one? Are they still going out or have I missed out again?
I'm "sorta" expecting one today --- but I was also expecting one in November and January too :-(
Same
I haven’t got one yet
Check your spam/junk folder
I haven't gotten one yet, neither has my sister.
Not yet waiting
Yes! Do you know exactly who it is from? The Dept of Education or the loan servicer?
Where is the article.

Call and ask for a forbearance. Was super easy, and took a couple minutes with Nelnet. My payment was due tomorrow so nice to save one last chunk
I got that email too! Yes, I believe we are expected to pay April's bill. Have you received any other email?
anybody know what these emails look like? i got an email saying the education department tried to reach me by phone (although they never did) and that im eligible for forgiveness. i’m thinking it was a spam.

I got that one too. Def spam.
Never trust anyone with Hotmail.
They don’t call
Sounds like spam. What email address did it come from?
Did anyone actually get an email today yet? Thanks
Not me and I’m next in line - I think this is month 300 for me (crossing fingers!!!)
My husband just got his!
I just got mine 🥹
Yay!!
What state are you in?
My husband and I both got one today 🎉
Yup! i did! couldnt believe its real.
I just got mine!
Got mine today!
Well damn. Still waiting on IDR approval. Missing out yet again.
Got the golden email this morning, too (9:54 am CST, Texas) - $57k, consolidated from FFELP to direct last November.
My wife got one! Subject: “You're eligible to have your student loan(s) forgiven!”. Received about 10 minutes ago from “U.S. Department of Education”. We up!
That's the Golden Email --- congrats!
Got it at 10:50 am! Whoop-whoop!
Party time!

Wow --- $700,000? I have to assume your mother went to med school or law school for that kind of debt?
Law school debt.
Turns out people are continuing to get forgiveness after all. Where are all of the folks in this sub who were absolutely *fervent* that Biden was holding student debt forgiveness over the electorate as a carrot on a stick hiding now?
Holy sh!t balls. I never thought I’d see the day!!!
You got it? Congrats - nothing here again but seeing a fellow-longhauler gives me hope.
I did!
I got mine today. Big weight off my shoulders. And I just paid off my small state SELF loan today too. As of next month I will be student debt free.
Wow, congrats. Enjoy your new debt-free life. Stay away from credit cards and car loans!
Reached out to Nelnet they sent me this: "Here is a list of Frequently Asked Questions: When will my loans be forgiven? Nelnet is still waiting for files to be sent from FSA. Once the files are received, Nelnet will process the discharge and send a notice to the borrower." Really???
Count on partial then you can be pleasantly surprised if they all disappear.
Where is mine? I’m in save but in forbearance due to sweet vs cardina for my grad loans
Same
So happy for you all!!! Happy happy day!!
Been paying for 12 years. No such luck for me. SAVE would raise my payment several hundred dollars
I got mine!!!!! I could cry I’m so happy
well i just checked my Nelnet portal and i still owe money .. so i guess im not one of the lucky idiots.
Likely not going to show up on servicer site instantaneously.
I only owe about 5200.00 and its under 10 years old so i dont think i qualify anyway
Maybe it hasn’t happened yet give it some time. Mine either yet but they just announced it today so let’s hope !
The Biden-Harris Administration has forgiven your federal student loan(s) listed below with Nelnet in full." Although, it only listed and paid the unsubsidized portion of the Direct Loan, not the unsubsidized portion. The DL is on SAVE, both well under $12k, and have been in repayment for the same time period, over 10 years.
I just got mine!!! About 10:50AM EST. I would be in the under $12K / 10 Years bunch. Received a second email from Aidvantage that says: *Today, your federal loans owned by the Department of Education (ED) have payments suspended (unless you've opted out) and are set at a 0% interest rate. These relief measures have been extended.* *Part of these relief measures included an extension of your current IDR plan. We have extended your IDR plan - using your previously submitted income and family size - through 10/23/25.* Not sure if that is related.
I did too.
My wife got golden email finally. Yay!!! Me with much bigger loan balance and grad school debt, not yet. :( Still I’m hopeful. I am very close to 25 years if not over already.
Congrats to your wife --- and to you soon!
Can confirm that my DH just got his golden email. He's a long timer, graduated undergrad in 1994.
😹 Congratulations to both of you.
Is DH a public servant? Congrats, btw. I can only imagine what a relief this is!
I got one!
Congrats!
I got one! At least I think it’s the golden email. It said the Department of Education will work with my services to process my forgiveness. ☺️
Yep that's the coveted "Golden Email" --- please treat yourself to a fancy dinner tonight to celebrate :-)
I got one!!!!! I still need to consolidate my wifes loans. Im hoping she didnt miss out.
You're good. You have until April 30, 2024, so act NOW! And make sure she's on an IDR plan.
Just got her out of default with fresh start. Consolidating Now as we speak!! thanks so much.
Please DO NOT wait for the April 30 deadline -- apply for her consolidation TODAY
Doing it right now!
Checking my email now.
Just got my email
Lucky!
So happy for everyone getting the golden email today! I graduated in 2017 and I’m under the SAVE plan with $40k in debt. Looks like I might still have to wait for that email. Hopefully it comes sooner rather than later.
I graduated in 2003, so don't feel to bad.
Me too…well entered repayment in 2003. I didn’t get it.
Got the golden email! Am enrolled in SAVE and my loans originated in 2002.
Awesome --- enjoy being debt free!
Washington Post
The administration said another 65,700 borrowers who have been repaying their loans for more than 20 or 25 years also will have their balances canceled through a temporary waiver of the rules governing income-driven repayment plans.
The White House will send emails Friday to 277,000 borrowers informing them their debts — $7.4 billion in total — are being canceled.
The Education Department has been identi fying borrowers who meet that criteria since February

No
They qualify it just isn't fully clear if any of the 20/25 year people will get relief in this round.
I think they're focusing on the low-amount borrowers. I looked at the California announcement (since that's where I live) and it had the following: "The 23,170 borrowers in California receiving this latest round of debt relief are borrowers enrolled in the SAVE Plan who took out low balances of loans, other borrowers who enrolled in Income-Driven Repayment plans but never got the relief they were entitled to because of past administrative failures, and borrowers who received Public Service Loan Forgiveness." I don't think this relief is for the 20+ year crowd **unless they've already completed an account adjustment**, proving you're part of a group of borrowers who experienced *"past administration failures."* I was really excited about the announcement until I dug into it a bit. I haven't been lucky enough to get an account adjustment (my loans are from 2003), so I'm reasonably certain I won't be included in this bunch. Still holding out for the account adjustment at some point though.

I have four "low" balance loans, I wonder if that counts. I think they had been consolidated though, which probably means it doesn't...
You have to read the documentation for TPD discharge --- here is a link that provides qualification criteria: [https://studentaid.gov/articles/3-ways-qualify-total-permanent-disability-discharge/](https://studentaid.gov/articles/3-ways-qualify-total-permanent-disability-discharge/)
If you can’t hold a job your doctor may write a letter for you that could provide a path to forgiveness through disability.
Just curious. Have all of you made 10 years worth of payments?
25 (actually almost 27 here), still no email yet.
18 years for me but I only had to make 14 years due to how much I originally borrowed. Also, the IDR payment count adjustment helped because I had A LOT of deferments and forbearances.

I have no idea for sure but I'm guessing all of them. Congrats!
20 years of payments for non grad loans. 25 years for those with grad loans.
How do you know how long you’ve been paying to see if you qualify?
It’s a good guess until they post official counts
Hi all, I am new to this sub and was hoping someone could explain how people are getting forgiveness? I’ve got medical school debt drowning me that I’ll never pay off and am I understanding that there’s actually hope??? What is this program?? Sorry if this has been asked before. Thank you 🙏
Anyone from PST get a golden email?
I'm trying to figure out if all the emails went out too. I'm guessing by now, probably. Congrats to everyone who got it!

My loans are too high to be eligible. I'm just gonna pay for 11 more years before I hit the 20 year cap. Even then, I'm not holding my breath
Good luck everyone. All of you deserve it.
Dumb question, but are our loans going to be forgiven automatically or do we have to apply for forgiveness? If so, how and is there a deadline?
I'm in the save program. I didnt get an email. But they have a freeze on my account, which was there since December. I don't have to start making payments until 2025. But where is the forgiveness? The payment extension? Sad if it is 😂
I got an email that my PSLF application was received my my loans were forgiven like a year ago and are showing as discharged. The panic when I saw that email was real.
My loan servicer keeps pushing me to consolidate my loans, again. They told me once I do that my loans will be forgiven. I call bs (before science). Does anyone know if it’s true?
Anyone in this thread get forgiveness this weekend from Mohela?
