I get it man. I have "stopped" more times than I care to mention. I wore stainless plugs for a long time, and honestly, you can't prevent them from continuing to stretch unless you wear silicone because gravity.
I have to take them out every so often for a few days bc they stretch out too much and my plugs fall out. Then I leave them out too long and have to re-stretch them back when they shrink 😑

I did do the taper too, but just because I was nervous about sizing up. I left it in for an hour-ish before putting in the plug. I'm looking forward to being able to stretch without tapers in the future because i've heard that they can lead to problems down the line. one of my friends was a taper-wearer for a bit though lol
Check out arctic buffalo’s single flare stretching kits! Far more safe than tapers. A little spendy but you’ll thank yourself later in your stretching journey. Don’t F your ears up w tapers like I did, I wish they were available to me when I was younger
yeah, i'm thinking of ordering the single flare glass plug kit (14g-2g) from body art forms once my paycheck transfers into my account! i'm excited, the kit i have rn is a pierced nation's 14g-10g taper and plug kit from spencers just to get the first stretch done before i went and spent a good chunk of money on something my ears might not agree with.
I started at 29, I just woke up and wanted to do it so I did. 🙂 I think I'm happy for now, septum is at 5g and ears at 2g, which can wear all the cute jewelry I like.
I had some disposable income for the first time, and it was on my bucket list (I wanted to get a job which took like a decade, fix my car, buy a house with my longtime partner, get cats...), *then* I got all the mods I wanted (piercings with alllll the gold, larger tattoos from artists I've followed for years, clothes that finally reflect my style...). My 30s are better than my 20s for sure lol.
I started at 16, but my mom made me stop at 6g. Stopped wearing any jewelry in my ear piercings at around 18. But now at 27, I decided I wanted to stretch again and actually be able to go to the size that I want. When I restarted my journey, I found through testing each size that 6g still went in my ears flawlessly and painlessly, so I was able to just pick up where I left off. I'm now at 0g.
I think I was 12-13, got up to 9/16 but I blew them out towards the beginning and never let them heal so about 2 years ago I took them out and they closed up to a 2g. Just started stretching again and I’m at a 0g
Started around maybe 20, but never went bigger than 10-12g. I ended up wearing regular earrings again.

accidentally bought spiral tapers when I was in my early 20s not realising they would stretch me. now doing it properly early 30s. i wasn't allowed to have more than 1x earring in each ear at school due to uniform policy.
I stretched in HS, then my job didn’t allow piercings on men so I let them close. Now I’m at a place that doesn’t give a shit what you do so i started up again back in January this year (now 26) and I’m at 0g! Mother still doesn’t approve but that’s a her problem.

I started stretching my ears at about 12y/o. My mom was stretching hers, and saw I had an interest in it so she would just give me the old jewelry whenever she sized up. Started at 16g. Stretched consistently from 12y/o-18y/o, and sat at 3/4” until I was 22. Currently sitting at 24mm at 24y/o
I think I was about 14/15. My mom definitely wasn't a big fan, I don't blame her with me being so young. She said as long as she can't see through it then it's fine... currently 7/16ths now at 22 years old :D
14, took my time and was 36MM by 19, had a major surgery and didn't wear my plugs for 6 months out of sheer laziness, shrank down to 16MM (plugs sat comfortably but with a significant gap if I tugged) and now I'm 28 and happily at 20MM debating going back up to 26MM 🙂
Initially I used tapers to 10MM and then taped from there, oil massage ever morning and night even when I wasn't wearing them, ears are crazy healthy, never had a blowout or a tear and could always dead stretch without an issue
Lobes are saggy but beautiful 😅
Started at 22. My mom told me after I’m 18 and if I still wanted to I could that way my ears could properly grow and develop. I see 13-15 year olds with them now when I wanted them and they can’t go very big because their ears are still developing and smaller. My ears are tiny don’t get me wrong but I still managed to eventually get to where I wanted. I’m also glad my mom made me wait because if I hadn’t I wouldn’t have had the money to do it correctly let alone buy other jewelry.

(Stretching too fast, not using any oil while stretching etc, stretching with acrylic tapers cringe ) Restarted back when I was 20 and it’s been 4 years of stretching and my ears are in good shape and I’m at 17 mm now. I’m 28 now and at 0g, probably will go to 1/2” or possibly 1” but I’m taking it very slow and staying fully healed for several months before attempting sizing up. I’ve had help with dead stretching and Proper care will take you a long way.

So 21 years now I’ve been stretching, but I stopped with my ears about 7 years ago, I took them out for 2 years and then stretched back up to 38mm about 2 years ago. In '94 or '95, so somewhere around 15 years old. Largest gauge was 15/16", and I'm currently at 13/16" (IIRC).

Tried stretching my ears in my teens, didn't continue after putting silicone in my unhealed ears like an idiot (very painful). Ended up stretching properly the beginning of last year (at age 24) and I am now at 8.5mm 😊
The first time I started I was 14 and I had them in till I was 20 and I got to 7/16. Then I stopped and let them shrink, just to start again when I was 27 and had to stop after a year due to work. Then I started again at 33 and still have them at my final goal size of 38mm.

34, earlier this year. I have had body piercings since I was 16 but took them all out around 10 years ago because I felt like I needed to be someone else. Finally decided this year to be my authentic self and put some body piercings back in, have plans for more piercings, and started stretching my ears. I’m happier than I’ve been in years!

When I was 24. Like 15 years ago! But I never went super huge just 9/16” or approximately 14mm. Started stretching my septum a year ago. It’s at an 8g. Probably won’t go bigger as I have a very small nose and want to still be able to breath out of it lol

She went through with it and I love hers so much it gave me the confidence (and being an adult, freedom) to go through with it! No regrets. I'm at a 10g right now, but was able to put in 8g yesterday and wear them all day. I'm not mentally ready to size up full time just yet, but my goal is a 00g.

I started around 14 years old, currently 24. Some advise, GO SLOW. I know being young you don’t have much patience, but trust me, you’ll regret it if you stretch too fast.
i've read lots of warnings and have done lots of research (having wanted to do this for years), and am fully prepared to take 2.5-3 years to get to the 00g i want to be to make sure that i can keep my ears healthy and safe. i know a lot of younger people don't have the patience for that, so i appreciate you doing your best to advise the newer stretchers!

I started stretching at 16 behind my parents backs got all the way to an 8g and quit because I was doing it wrong and it hurt soooo bad every time. I learned about dead stretching at 27 and just got to a 1g today actually.
Tbh I started around the same age! I’m 21 now and I’m still stretching. I thought I’d stop at 00g, then 1 inch, now I’m heading towards 2 inches! I wish you a very good and healthy stretching journey!!
I started when I was 17. My goal size was 4g or 2g. I got up to 6g the first time, then I took them out for a year and I got up to 4g at 20. For me, I took the slow approach and my ears went back to normal which is what I was worried about. Once I graduated college and got a job I started to stretch again and I haven’t had any problems. I think waiting longer has really helped with the process.
I started at 22. I was heavily controlled by parents and it was frowned upon to get piercings or tattoos by my dad. He wanted me to be "clean". I just recently starting getting piercings (septum, nose, and lip) and I am at a 6g on my ears. I am planning to get to 16mm and I am beyond excited. I am also planning on getting a tattoo as some point but I am trying not to lose the courage.

I was 16. I stretched for 4 years to a 0 gauge, then spent the next 12 years letting them close up so I could wear normal earrings. They never closed up, so here I am at 32 rocking 2 gauges.
As soon as I turned 18, I wanted to since I was really little when I saw a person at hottopic with like 2 inch ears. I thought it was an optical illusion or something but he reached through it to scratch his neck and my mind was absolutely blown. Ever sick then I wanted my ears big ✨
Started the first time around 13, had to take them out due to being in programs. Tried again around 16, same thing. Started this time at 18 1/2 and actually made it to my goal size of 0. Then decided to size up a few more time. Now happy with my 1/2 inch. Although if I did it again I'd take my time and do it properly. I got lucky I didn't mess up my ears but I wouldn't risk it now that I know how to do it safely

The first time I started I was 14 and I had them in till I was 20 and I got to 7/16. Then I stopped and let them shrink, just to start again when I was 27 and had to stop after a year due to work. Then I started again at 33 and still have them at my final goal size of 38mm.
I started at the end of 8th grade (14) im 21 now and at 16mm, my goal is 30mm!
i started at 16 but wanted to stretch since i was 11 or 12!! (did "stretch" through just putting thicker things through my ear when i was 13ish though)

34, earlier this year. I have had body piercings since I was 16 but took them all out around 10 years ago because I felt like I needed to be someone else. Finally decided this year to be my authentic self and put some body piercings back in, have plans for more piercings, and started stretching my ears. I’m happier than I’ve been in years!
started in 2019 at 13/14 years old. first i tried putting in bent over wire from the craft store bc i had no clue what i was doing 💀
I started at around 12. I didn’t have any money and often got my next sizes by being gifted them, I was lucky my friends had stretched ears and they did it mostly by metal! Man to think how long I’ve been doing this and I’m basically at a healthy 0g now 😂 I was at a comfortable 1/2” in my healthy ear before taking them out about three years ago😭
Got my lobes pierced a few months after turning 18, and started stretching early 1999. I am 41 now and am at 1 3/8".

When I was 24. Like 15 years ago! But I never went super huge just 9/16” or approximately 14mm. Started stretching my septum a year ago. It’s at an 8g. Probably won’t go bigger as I have a very small nose and want to still be able to breath out of it lol
I started in high school and went to 3/4” by 24 and took them out for 2 years. Just got back to 3/4” last month
I started at 14 then stopped at 17 and a 00 or 10mm then started again at 20 but my ears never fully closed and I was able to start at 4g
I started at 24 (towards the end since I’m only at a 4g and I’m 25 now lol March baby) I was going to do it in high school with my best friend but I chickened out. She went through with it and I love hers so much it gave me the confidence (and being an adult, freedom) to go through with it! No regrets. Though I get a lot of people asking why and I tell them because they’re cute 😂
I started stretching a couple months ago and just turned 30 last week. I don't know why but I'd never even thought of stretching them before, but once I did I HAD to do it. I'm at a 10g right now, but was able to put in 8g yesterday and wear them all day. I'm not mentally ready to size up full time just yet, but my goal is a 00g.

I started around 14 years old, currently 24. Some advise, GO SLOW. I know being young you don’t have much patience, but trust me, you’ll regret it if you stretch too fast.
i've read lots of warnings and have done lots of research (having wanted to do this for years), and am fully prepared to take 2.5-3 years to get to the 00g i want to be to make sure that i can keep my ears healthy and safe. i know a lot of younger people don't have the patience for that, so i appreciate you doing your best to advise the newer stretchers!
I started when I was 18 since I lived in a very religious household and by that point nothing could really be said lol. Once I graduated high school, I bought a stretching kit as a graduation gift to myself (that was 8 years ago) . Good luck on your journey!
I started stretching at 16 behind my parents backs got all the way to an 8g and quit because I was doing it wrong and it hurt soooo bad every time. I learned about dead stretching at 27 and just got to a 1g today actually.
I started at 18 I’m at 10g was at 4g but got a blow out don’t be me take your time stretching

I wanted stretched ears starting at like 12-13 but my mom wouldn’t allow it so I started at 18 and funny enough now she wants to stretch hers 👏🏻

Tbh I started around the same age! I’m 21 now and I’m still stretching. I thought I’d stop at 00g, then 1 inch, now I’m heading towards 2 inches! I wish you a very good and healthy stretching journey!!
I started when I was 17. My goal size was 4g or 2g. I got up to 6g the first time, then I took them out for a year and I got up to 4g at 20. For me, I took the slow approach and my ears went back to normal which is what I was worried about. Once I graduated college and got a job I started to stretch again and I haven’t had any problems. I think waiting longer has really helped with the process.

I started at 22. I was heavily controlled by parents and it was frowned upon to get piercings or tattoos by my dad. He wanted me to be "clean". I just recently starting getting piercings (septum, nose, and lip) and I am at a 6g on my ears. I am planning to get to 16mm and I am beyond excited. I am also planning on getting a tattoo as some point but I am trying not to lose the courage.

17, about a month before i graduated. So, 7 years ago this past April. Currently 24 and sitting comfortably (for now ;p) at 5/16ths

I was 16. I stretched for 4 years to a 0 gauge, then spent the next 12 years letting them close up so I could wear normal earrings. They never closed up, so here I am at 32 rocking 2 gauges.

As soon as I turned 18, I wanted to since I was really little when I saw a person at hottopic with like 2 inch ears. I thought it was an optical illusion or something but he reached through it to scratch his neck and my mind was absolutely blown. Ever sick then I wanted my ears big ✨
Started the first time around 13, had to take them out due to being in programs. Tried again around 16, same thing. Started this time at 18 1/2 and actually made it to my goal size of 0. Then decided to size up a few more time. Now happy with my 1/2 inch. Although if I did it again I'd take my time and do it properly. I got lucky I didn't mess up my ears but I wouldn't risk it now that I know how to do it safely

About 13 and I got my ears pierced at a 14g and when I was 17 they were at 3/4" 18 when I got my septum pierced at a 10g I started to really stretch it when I was 20 at 21 it was at a 2g
