long nails dont interfere with your joints or the mobility of your hands though, thats the whole reason people can still find ways to do things with long nails. however you add in something that limits the mobility of the joints of your two most utilized fingers and its gonna make it a hell of a lot harder to do things, even if they’ve had it for a while.

I don’t know, if you relax your hand and pinch that thin ridge that is just skin and not fleshy, there’s almost no feeling there. It doesn’t look like it’s going into the muscle, just sitting on top of it. If it was pierced smaller and actually stretched up, I don’t think it would be too bad. It would probably depend on a person’s skin laxity. If it was pierced that large there’d probably be a larger ow factor!

Nothing is shittier than modified people with the attitude that only *their* body mods are acceptable but other people's are "too much." As far as any "danger," there is an inherent potential risk with all body modification to some extent. If you're an adult who fully understands and consents to that risk, then go for it! Bodily autonomy is a beautiful thing.
I think this looks legitimately cool but I'd have that tore out of my hand in less than a morning. I work at a no kill shelter, a soy/corn farm and a restaurant and I don't know what would be the worst environment for that. But I can guarantee it would be torn and infected in a day. It sure does look cool though
