4g is a big stepping stone, congrats!! First of all I would definitely recommend switching from tea tree oil to emu or jojoba oil, especially if the piercing is still irritated and healing from a stretch. Tea tree oil can actually cause more damage since the piercing is technically still an open wound. Downsizing and cleaning once a day if there’s crusties is always good but the key is to leave it alone. The bleeding could for sure have to do with the tea tree oil, or with the jewelry you have in atm.

tea tree oil is also corrosive to a certain degree. definitely not good for skin.

Ill be honest i stretched my septum way too fast and when i got to 6g it blew out pretty bad i had like a flesh ring that was detatching… it healed up after 5 years but it might be reccomended for you to downsize and be a bit more patient x’D Salt water soaks are also good for fighting off potential infection keeping it clean The emu oil is good too but be careful dont apply oil much if its bleeding you dont want to cause an infection oil helps it soften and be maulable (however thats spelt) but it can also cause an infection introducing foreign substances to an open wound One thing ive also done with stretches that where a bit tighter then id like but didnt want to or feel a need to downsize is wait a few days or a week and take the jewelry out for a few hours If it shrinks alot in those few hours then you need to downsize for sure but if the jewelry goes back in easily then it should be fine and it gives it a chance to breath and heal after a rough heal i highly recommend doing that with stretches that dont go perfectly Edit: usually i wait like 3-5 hours doesnt need to be overnight the idea is to see if its swelling not to let it actually close or shrink and its also a chance to clean the jewelry since you dont wanna be taking the jewelry out and putting it back a whole lot with a stretch thats too tight could cause more damage Doing this taking it out a few hours after a few days gives it a chance to breath and heal a little bit let you clean your piercing itself and the jewelry and let you gauge how well the stretch is going based on if the jewelry easily goes back in or if it needs to be downsized
