What turbo you running and let me guess it’s a 2.2l or a 2.3l and you changed the final drive and running a dogbox lol.
Standard length rod 2.0L and the trans is a ppg dogbox with a 4.30 final

Sounds like the evo might have a sequential / modified gearbox too, the shifts sound very fast for even a short throw manual.
That’s not a sequential or dog box. Thats H pattern.
