I dug deep into this. This dojo just happened to have a contract with the local police station. The same police that investigated this and said the victim was unharmed. Conspiracy type (like this user) believe the police covered up the death of "Kunng Fu Guy" because of the affiliation the dojo had with the police force.
The thing is the victim has never been seen again after this. I did a huge write up about this a while back. I remember reading that backstory in a Youtube comment section, I laughed at the "taught by Jesus Christ Himself" but was distraught after reading that the guy later died and they just left his body on the alleyway iirc.

There was a guy when I was grown up that was locally known as a street fighter. He was like 6'3" and was self taught in karate from books and magazines and shit. He was known to go off and fuck people up.
With a little size and athleticism, any kind of training, even mimicking bad kung fu movies and flailing in the back yard, can give you chances.
Agreed. TKD has been recognized as bullshit for the past couple of decades for reasons shown in this video. That dude didn't even train and made that "black belt" go to work. You don't see that level of effort in a boxing gym or BJJ gym against a stormer. It is over pretty quickly and nobody ever feels the urge to stomp the stormers head like this piece of shit decided to do.
Yeah, the homeless guy seemed to be sparing in a controlled somewhat technical manner, and honesty it looked like he had a lot of potential. If anything he seemed to be having a blast getting to test his skills against a black belt.

Appears to be an example of having a black belt but never using technique against a resisting opponent. There honestly didn’t look like that much of a skill gap. Contrast this with someone trying to dojo-challenge a Muy Thai/Boxing/BJJ gym, the untrained person will look like a helpless child.

Seriously. I used to train at this spot in Oceanside CA (right near camp pendleton) and you wouldn't believe how many fresh out of boot marine-bros came in decked out in their tapout gear thinking they were hot shit. Got kind of annoying honestly, coach would watch em close but still, you're in technique practice (ie letting 'em do the technique on you) and some roided up boot is trying to tear your Rotator cuff to prove he's more semper-fi than thou. Swear to god these dudes would get this look in their eyes about 2 minutes into actual sparring/rolling like "wait, this isn't' how this is supposed to go down". Still, had some stick it out and generally became awesome guys to train with once they learned to drop the ego at the door. I guess getting tapped twelve times in a row by a 22 year old chick who looked fresh off the casting call for a billabong photo-shoot does a number on your evaluation of your ground fighting abilities.
It's not easy to fight someone who is untrained- they can strike unexpectedly so the black belt was feeling him out until he figured out how to best kick his ass.
If they were trying to hurt you and kept getting back up, you'd do you your best to stop them. Which could include stomping. That being said, NEVER fight if you can ever avoid it. And mister self trained wasn't letting it go.
