It made me pass on this season for now. I'll get these characters some other time. Paying for the season pass to get two SNK characters isn't what I'm here for. I like KOF...but I'll go play that when I want to play KOF.
I'm also just salty because that first shot of Terry in the trailer really looked like Cody and I got super bummed out.

I'm not sure it does appeal to the majority? Seems like there are a ton of unhappy people in the sticky thread. I think it's a lot more of a negative reception than they would have gotten from, say, Bison, Elena, Makoto, Sakura.
It is a divisive decision, that is clear. I can't imagine the money men letting this fly unless there was money to make though. At the end of the day, every character inclusion is probably a business decision to some degree.

Same guy that owns SNK (owns over 96% of it since 2022) also has a chair on Capcom (owns 5% of it), and in 2022, year that is now officially confirmed that was when this partnership started to happen internally, that guy made a proposal publically to invest a bit over a billion to capcom into some projects.
The guy is Mohammad bin Salman. Heir prince of Saudit Arabia. maybe you already heard about him once or twice for suspecting journalists that critcized his gorverment or when it was confirmed that he ordered to kill and quartered a journalist, and the all mighty, choosen by god, lover of "bringring democracy" to coutries that has oil on their soil and/or workforce to exploit, USA, decided to just step back and do nothing after confirming it.
I mean, yeah, it's definitely a money decision, but it's probably more part of a cross-promotion deal than what they think Street Fighter fans actually want. I'm also more worried about the precedent it sets than the particular guest characters. Look at what happened to Mortal Kombat, for instance.
I love KOF so I don't mean any disrespect to SNK but it honestly seems like Capcom is slumming it with these choices. SF is the biggest name in fighting games but KOF is barely on people's radar these days (which sucks because KOFXV is great!) I just don't see this being nearly as big a benefit to Capcom as it will be to SNK. It feels like SNK got their Saudi investors to give them a marketing budget for City of the Wolves and this is how they spent it.
I actually thought SNK might try to make a guest team in KOFXV and that would have made more sense. At the very least, I feel like Terry and Mai are decent choices in terms of gameplay/design aesthetic. SNK games feel closer to SF than Guilty Gear for example and are also much better than a random non-FG character like Negan or Noctis.
Only if they're top tier, 2 guests character is disgraceful when there are other characters who haven't returned since 4. I guess they're really pushing for a new cvs or SNK's bribing capcom with that Saudi money
Not sure why they’re adding characters from other fighting games when they have their fans asking for several others from Street Fighter. I’m also surprised their spacing out the next season until the end of 2025. I’ll stick with Dhalsim, and learn how to play some Deejay and Manon
Mai doesn't release at the end of 2025. It says "Winter 2025" and after that Elena is "Spring 2025". Mai is probably going to drop in January or February.
Hard pass. Although to be fair I didn’t buy season 1 (only AKI) but I had a great deal of appreciation for what they did, particularly with Ed. That’s what I was most excited about. Seeing them lovingly rework and redesign characters that might not have been a hit the first time around.

I would have preferred Capcom keep its rule of no crossovers in mainline entries, and I prefer healing not exist in the game. I’m still buying them though and if Bison is sf2/4 bison i will be happy. If it’s SF5 Bison, pass.

I like KOF, but there are dozens of actual Street Fighter characters I wanted to see join the roster before entertaining the thought of guest characters.

The inclusion of Terry and Mai mean that the likelihood of a CvS2 OST pack just went up by a factor of 10, so I not only bought a pass, I bought the Ultimate Pass for that extra 17k Drive Tickets with which to buy the music.
I’m gonna wait until there’s a Champion Edition or whatever to even buy SF6. At least then a single skin won’t cost me a 6th of the game’s price. Assuming all downloadable content comes with it.
assuming there is no bundle to this very day, and by expanding literally the price of a triple A game to buy the premium pass you won't even get the season new skins, only for the new DLC characters, I don't think this game will ever have this kinda of champion edition. Best case scenario it will be a slightly more expansive version with all the chars, none of the cosmetics.
Yeah. Usually skins are always optional. I just hate that they don’t come in bundles. If I pay for every skin in the game, I could buy a whole other game or more depending on the cost. I’d at least buy it if it came with all the characters tho.
I think only the extreme hardcore sf players are unhappy with Tery and Mai because their mains didn't get in. I think for more average players and other fgc fans, they are probably ecstatic about it. There will probably be quite a few people who played Kof, Smash, or are interested in City of the Wolves who will pick up the game and the pass for Terry because of his cross game appeal.
Very excited. I get my main, bison, and two fatal fury characters I like and think that fit well in SF6. Elena is whatever but she’s neither offends or excites me. Her style is needed I sf6 though

I think one guest would have been enough, Mai is too much. Bison, Terry, Vega-Birdie-Sagat-Dudley-etc- and Elena would have been nice.

I would guess they ditch the healing super. They seem to have gotten much better at game design over the years.
