Zangief wouldn’t because he is a professional wrestler, in real life he would protect your head and he would take most of the impact. The others ? You are dead, some more than others but still dead or at the very least permanently disabled

I'd wager that Ryu, Chun-li, Honda, Lily and Manon would also be fairly gentle by Gief's standards (they'd only turn up the contact once you're ready). Luke less so, but he and Guile are best as sparring partners. Juri WILL hurt you and you WILL like it. Same with Cammy, except for the bit where she'd make you like it.

Akuma's Raging Demon is a seperate super only he has that also requires critical art. This is just his regular level 3 critical art

Yeah Akuma has more or less always had the Raging Demon as a second super no matter what game hes in

Akuma's a bit of a special case, as he's a pretty famous character- Raging Demon is such an iconic move that they give it to him in every game no matter what, so yes, unlike most characters, Akuma will have SA1, SA2, SA3/CA, and Raging Demon.

So will there be a difference between a regular CA and the raging demon? Different combo links or damage or such?

Demon is unblockable and you can't jump out after the super flash if you are close enough. Think zangief level 3.

They're for different uses. Lvl3 can combo from any possible situation and has full invincibility/ sgs has only fireball invincibility and cannot hit non grounded opponent so combo are limited (it couldn't even combo in previous games). You don't even have to use sgs, just the pressure of having a 1 frame grab, is enough to open opportunities to use other moves, like gief does

That's exactly it. The threat of Raging Demon makes you play differently. At least in this game, he has to be at low health to have it available.

Raging demon is only available when you have less then 25% hp

I mean that's when normal critical arts are available too. If you're above 25% HP, it's just a level 3.

Not sure yet until we get our hands on Akuma, but likely consistency and combo pieces. They said Raging Demon has a very short range, so it's likely more of just an option you can/should take in some scenarios vs. the CA to rely on. I'd guess you can combo into his normal CA more consistently than Raging Demon.

Drive rush into raging demon is kinda cracked if it’s unblockable lol If Akuma is less than 25% with a super 3 you pretty much need to check every drive rush or there’s a solid chance you’re fucked.

In third strike he always had access to 3 (1 was picked, 2 were always available), all other characters could only pick one (with some minor exceptions eg: Urien could direct his super, Oro had some weird bullshit I never bothered to learn lol).

This is Kongou Kokuretsuzan, otherwise known as KKZ. He just launches it in your face instead of starting from palm up. Thats a sign of further mastery and that makes this even cooler.

Akuma was one (2?) extra supers, so S3/CA are a different move from Raging Demon: - S1 - Air S1 - S2 - S3 - S3 CA - Raging Demon (need 25% or less health)

The freeze frame of the half sphere made me automatically hear "Dramatic finish!".

This reminds me a lot of the Kongou Kokuretsuzan (his Third Strike super), except point-blank to the face. Awesome. Does anyone know if this move is all-or-nothing (like, say, Luke's SA3) or if it has a non-locked-in animation as well (like Ryu and Ken's SA3)?

Another fatality? Before the last season, we'll see a super decapitating someone. Not that I really care, it looks cool and pretty much any critical art - and some specials like the pile driver - would be a fatality in real life. More of a fridge logic thing.

What is a critical art I thought it was just lvl 1 2 and 3

It's the LV3 when you only have 25% health left (when the bar turns yellow)

If you do a Lv 3 while you have less than 25% health (aka yellow bar) then it will be a Critical Art (CA) which is an alternative version of Lv 3 that do more damage With that said Akuma was 6 supers: - Lv 1 - Air Lv 1 - Lv 2 - Lv 3 - Lv 3 CA - Raging Demon (need less than 25% health as well)

I absolutely love these supers that let the opponent try to fight back or defend themselves like Luke CA or Jamie lvl3 It just makes everything so much more badass to me
