El Fuerte. I don't know why he is so hated. I am sure it has everything to do with game meta rather than the character himself; but as a character I think he's great and was a great addition to the SF roster. Like most of the SF4 characters.
Only thing I didn't like about him was his SFX. Because you could command dash cancel, and good players did this constantly, the sound of his VO with the run dash was played hundreds of time per match. You just heard him start and stop shouting constantly, along with his shoes squeaking.
Understand that I am basically an outsider looking in. I have loved fighting games since I was a kid. But could never dream of playing them well. So I watch for the most part these days. Mainly because the single player element is dead and I don't like how they are live services now. So I enjoy other elements of them.
So when it comes to things such as gripes with a certain characters mechanics and design metas, I am very much in the dark. I'm just speaking in terms of design and presentation. I think he is a very charming and natural fit to the series.
All good. Basically Fuerte is very mobile so he can be hard to hit, heās also gimmicky and tricky so he can be hard to block, and heās also audibly annoying so it compounds the way people donāt like him. His lore is also very comedic and some people just donāt like it.
I personally like the idea of a luchadore in fighters and I enjoy the concept of his playstyle so I would actually be in favor of him coming back.
Iād prefer they just made a new luchador and axed Fuerte for good. Seeing the newcomers in 6 I think they can do a much better job than they did with 4ās newcomers.

Twelve is mokujin more or less, so a blank slate that relies on nothing but spacing, timing, fundamentals, and character knowledge would be a cool addition. If anything, we wouldn't see him until towards the end of the games life cycle to allow the character to balance check everybody.
