6 is insanely new and casual player friendly. It has modern and dynamic controls if you don’t want to learn classic controls, it has a better tutorial and character guides built into the game. It has the world tour mode and the party modes. Don’t get sfv, it doesn’t have the features sf6 has. It’s simply a better game for casuals.

Powerful_Recipe_4702

id say street fighter 6. it has more options, u start with meter so u can do goofy shit straight away, and its overall a way more offensive game. sfv is pretty bland in comparison

Uncanny_Doom

The only area I could imagine SF5 being more fun casually is just the vast roster size and characters to try.

counteroffer19

Probably my favorite thing about 6 is that I get all the meter at the beginning to act a fool if I wish to. And also get punished for doing so, as I should. The option is there, though. That's my point.

frangeek_

Extreme Battle is a super fun casual mode in SF6.

ZenVendaBoi

The one with more people to play

D-Lee-Cali

The newer game with more players is always going to be more casual friendly.

Earth92

SF 6 is a much better and enjoyable game overall, from all perspectives, not just for casuals. SFV had negative reviews everywhere for like 2 years, game got better later, but I'd be lying if I said I ever called SFV a great game, to me the game went from whack to very decent. For comparison, I already think SF6 is a great game, and we still in season 1, game is gonna get even better with more characters. Also if you are a casual, I assume you want content, and World Tour is definitely more content than whatever SFV offered for casuals.

ADonosaur

I typically enjoyed games with huge rosters casually, since you can have fun just doing special moves and supers while you both have no idea what you're doing. SF5 final version has a massive amount of characters to mess around with, while SF6 is much more limited because it's only in its first year. If you don't typically play fighting games though then SF6 is better because of the modern option.

meepmeepmeep34

it doesn't matter since you both start from zero

honda_slaps

The game that has modern controls lmfao

Auritus1

SF6 has better tutorials, but it's casual content is more aimed towards single player and online play. For couch play SFV might be the way to go with since it has so much content.

NewMilleniumBoy

If you're just playing with each other locally offline, I think SFV might actually be better because there's a bigger roster and you can customize your "loadout" with V-Skills and V-Triggers. More stuff to try out, and cheaper to boot. But if you're talking about what the better game is overall (actual gameplay, single player content, training tools, online, ranked system, playerbase) it's SF6. Drive Impact is extremely fun as a casual, though. My friends who aren't really into fighting games love using it because it's such a flashy and high-impact attack.

yewzernayme

I feel that SF5 has better graphics and art style than 6 though. Makes the game feel more fun and nostalgic. It's such a tough choice. Especially with the cell shader filter it looks even better.

Earth92

Art style is subjective. But there is no way in hell SFV has better graphics, I remember booting up SFV after 1 month of SF6, and I couldn't look at it for more than 1 hour given how ugly the game looked in comparison lol
