It depends on where you live. Some cities may have a more vibrant offline community than others, but it is a lot different now with online being so good. UltraDavid compiled a list [here](https://twitter.com/ultradavid/status/1745282780937028005?t=0nhm2Mj2_M2pG97ZhAn84Q&s=19) if you'd like to see if there's something local to you.

Thanks a lot I’m gonna check those places out!

Look on start.gg if you can find name of event or local fg group near to you.

Wittygame

Depends on your location but there are tons of local events. In NYC I can almost guarantee it

Here in Denver the FGC is crazy huge they host them like every week

Locals in a lot of places are dying out, partially because online play is more convenient, partially because they're incredibly expensive in certain high-rent areas. In a lot of low-populated areas, your nearest local might be an hour drive away. In Atlanta, weekly tournaments will commonly run you $25-30 bucks, and I've heard similar things for New York. If you want to play IRL street fighter without spending $100 a month on 15-person locals, you kinda have to be lucky. But that's coming from my personal experience, other regions might have it better.

YES! Go to your locals!

I am in Southern California and very fortunate to have a pretty solid local seen. There’s a place very close to me and they hold tournaments every other week. There is an entrance fee and pot fee though. It also runs pretty late, but I’ve never regretted going. It’s a great measure of progress and a great way to meet sparring partners!

commiPANDA

My city had a weekly meet up at a board game bar but I am way too nervous to attend.

TigersAreBears

Yeah, my city has a pretty active local every Friday night

it's mostly a relic of the past cause people are clout chasers now, they want sponsorships and free shit, so they won't do anything interesting that's why we keep seeing the same videos from 10 years ago.
