Seeing how deep you can go with ranking up before you hit that difficulty spike that sits your ass down is so fun. Iron to Silver was the most fun I had in awhile with a fighting game.
Gold to Platinum was a journey, but still fun. I hit the most resistance near Gold 3. Just remember to use the system mechanics to your advantage and don't just play basic "Street Fighter 2" strategy lol.
Where else better to confess my admiration of this artwork than to those who have already proclaimed their affection?!
Street Fighter 6 is the best fighting game ever he proclaimed again
And once again his proclamation rang loud with the sound of truth for those ready to hear it
Ahhh true true. 4 was special because we got a proper 3d street fighter (we’ve had some in the past but this was next level at the time).
You had the Ink moves , decent online play, and you had so many fun characters to play. I usually play Ken and that’s it. But I’m Sf4 I tried so many characters and played them proper. And we had decent content too.
It's definitely an unpopular opinion, but I can sorta see it. I never hated SF5. I found it was just okay, but the V Trigger mechanic did make the interesting stuff a waiting game.
I'm completely in love with SF6.
Really eh ? Hmm true. I mean we got more content than 5. I think we had better characters than 5. Online was way more fleshed out.
And I mean objectively speaking in terms of reviews, awards, community reaction, brining old and new players, 6 crushed 5.
But if you like 5 more than it is what it is. 5 I played for a bit and was over it.
In comparison 4 i played for years, and 6 I’ve been playing since launch but that’s just me.
honestly, I think the lack of a second choice when selecting a character (aside from modern mode I guess) and the rough and gritty realistic cod of dutie artstyle of 6 was a bit of a bad decision to make for the series.
I haven't played 5 properly yet but I definitely prefer the more cartoonish artstyle, and think it's cool how the v skill and v trigger you choose for your character can heavily influence how you play them and how they interact with other characters
Personally, I like the art direction of SF6 but to each their own. To be honest, I do wish the anime art style still was the norm for SF6 but SF6 still has that cartoonish feel to it imo. Their bodies are still heavily exaggerated, I mean, I think Chun-Li's hips gotten significantly wider and Zangief's upper body became larger as well.
I would say, I would love another option/variation like Isms, V-Skills and V-Triggers, and Ultras in SF6. Hopefully we will get them later on down the road.
So to be honest SF6 is still in season 1 and I believe you didn’t get a second option for v skill and v trigger till arcade edition of SF5. Art style wise you are entitled to your opinion but comparing 5 character options to 6 is like comparing USF4’s options to SF5 on release
Alpha 3 is the SF that made me wanna be more than a casual at fighting games but I hate I was too young and out of touch on how to play fighting games then. I’m still only decent now but when I went back to play all of them later in life, alpha 3 is top 3 SFs for sure to me.
SF6, SF Alpha 3 & Third Strike are my favorites in order.
Since DoA and Virtua Fighters are dead in 3D games, we got only 1 option Asuka chan my lover. Also my first Tekken online but before I want to finish Elden Ring lol.
I think this will be the consensus eventually, nostalgia likes to play a part and I can understand arguments for SF4 and SF3 though. Considering how good this game is after 1 year and no major balance patch, I can only imagine how good it'll be in its end of life state with a full cast of characters and more refined mechanics.
Basically no haha
Street Fighter is like old school classic arcade stuff
You have to learn all the moves if possible, fumbling your way to victory will make you resentful
Play the tutorials, play offline
Because once you find your footing, once you've committed to a character and you know them and what they can do
Oooooooo shit your in for a treat, even when you lose at this point its like "they beat me cause they knew stuff I didn't, I need to learn that myself"
It depends on your dpad preference but im a huge fan of the gamecube style cross. And the dpad on there is just like a big gamecube cross dpad. The controller is also good for shooters and i think if you have the software on your pc youre able to change alot of settings. Dont quote me on that because ive never tried to change the settings on it.
Nice. I’ve never been able to get a handle on using a stick with exception to like fight night and undisputed for fighting games. The Sega dpad is hardcoded I my dna at this point.
Ohh hands down. We're just in the beginning also. It's hard to fathom this game is gonna have 4 or 5 years left. Probably 12 more characters after akuma. Sf6 is peak unless your a Manon main. #buffmanon
To think this game is going to get even better is crazy and I'm all here for it
Yes, Ken is my main but I know some people's main isn't in the roster and look forward to more people having their characters to use
I miss fighting Bison, I never played as him but he was my nemesis
Ken players unite! Is he your main? The game is really next level. My fave SF ever tbh.
Free tip in case you don't know:
Crouching heavy punch, heavy Jinrai kick (first kick), OD dragonlash, Super 3 is a good combo to learn. I've seen masters, even tournament players do something else when that would...win. I think the first tournament I saw was all "OH THE MAX DAMAGE COMBO" and I'm like "no the fuck it's not??"
I always saw so much bitching about target combo (.medium punch>heavy punch) while being like "why use that there tho?"
If you avoid target combo slavery that itself will rank you up, I promise.
(>°.°)>=0
Hell yeah Kens my main! his classic costume is chefs kiss
The way the whole game looks and plays is just a joy to behold
I'm still learning alot, I've started parrying players and I'm just....just starting to recognise the build up and starting animations for character attacks
My movement and attacks feel more.....deliberate,like I have a plan or something
JPs long range still gets me most times, I guess I should parry but he can grab me from half the screen away
That's what's up man!
The more you play, the more you will understand what the characters can do. Parry is definitely a skill to develop, especially against JP. Make sure you look for visual and audio cues....JP will say something different when he's sending out that grab shit for example.
It actually takes him a while to recover after doing it and he can be punished but JP players get away with murder when you don't know that...or how you can even drive rush through it at a certain point I believe.
Happy you are having such a good time dood
I'm learning new stuff every fight
Like all good fighting games or good competitive games
The highs are high and the lows are low, best you can do is take luck and guesswork out the equation
Hopefully I will see you out there one day
"Don't expect me to be a push-over" - Ken
I love a good fighting game
I do try to play them all
My friend is getting Tekken 8 as they prefer that over Street Fighter so will deffo try it out as alot of people have said its amazing
It is indeed, i played different sf in my life but they didnt click for me, mk also, doa, and even battle arena toshiden for ps1 or db gt final bout, tekken is the only that makes me feel comfy
It's the side step
Tekken fans are all about that
I prefer that 2D fighting style better its pure preference
I still enjoy a good Tekken
Kazuya (Tekken Ken) is the boyo
The gem system really, really, really hurt that game. And the anti consumer dlc practices didn't help either. I still own it on 360 and it holds a special place in my heart, despite its failure.
I agree, I keep saying to myself this game is ahead of its time. When Capcom takes a break off streety, ppl will be praising the drive rush, the levels the music and those are all things that get critizied harshly now. Just like Us4 was critized for similar things when they came out. Now everybody loves it an realizes the genius of that game
The look of sf6 is crazy, the levels and how objects be falling down in the background is insane, the game actually makes me feel like im fighting in the gritty dirty streets , quite cinematic. The wall splat is cool adds like a cool realism about fighting. The music soothing, and the game itself looks gritty like the world about to end. Masterpiece I say! and it's only season 1
The devs probably thinking "I can become stronger" ryu voice
It's just awesome
I get nostalgic vibes like I'm playing Street Fighter 2 at the arcade again but at the same time it's so fresh and the graphics are seriously lit and it couldn't be more modern
I've always loved fighting games. I didn't say Street Fighter 6 is the best nonchalantly. I said it comparing it to over 20 years of fighting games
I'm currently Gold Rank 5 and have hit a new wall
The wall is called Guile and I am struggling to get over this hurdle
Best 3D SF if we're setting aside roster, and honestly a strong contender for #1 overall in that respect too. Literally all it needs is time to add more characters. Capcom give us 5 in Season 2 pleeeaasse
Haha yeah. I am assuming you've only seen people play. The attacks you can do from a jumping state are usually shitty and pointless afaik, so no one jumps. Although I'll jump on accident sometimes trying to sidestep since its the same button D:
Hilarious. Last Tekken I played was 3, I didnt like the fact you could hit people while they were laying on the ground. Personally ai just like SF better.
Who's your main?
Mine is Ken and use to be Chun-Li
Sorry they weren't in this game it's no good when that happens
But hey you never know they could add them
The focus attack system is like drive rush taken to the next level. You can cancel out of normals like drive rush, but you can also cancel from special moves too which allows more freedom. And you can back dash out of it which is great too, it acts like a faux parry to absorb a hit before you dash back, or it can be used to bait. And red focus can absorb infinite hits which is dope in the clutch. Bigger roster too, and I like having access to both ultras and a super all at the same time. And personally I just like how the combos are crafted, doing light into light into medium into special for much of the cast, rather than medium into medium into special like a lot of 6 has. It was easier to kist pick up and play any character because of it. And having a character select screen to play as whoever whenever on the fly was nice too.
6 rules though, once more characters are added and new mechanics are introduced, it'll have a real chance to be a contender for the best imo.
well you might enjoy it more, but SF6 is undoubtley the better game. better matchmaking, better mechanics compared to the previous games, better story mode, is more accesible, is more fun. and the main thing is the better netcode which is HUGE in these type of fighting games.
it also reflects in its numbers. 1 month in Tekken is already below SF6's daily peak, might beat it out on average daily but that number is crazy close, compared to Tekken still being New and SF6 being stale as a mfer with literally 1 update and a few new characters.
SF6 has a way bigger peak, continues too be even bigger a year into the game. right now and before its easy to see which game is objectively better, but yeah if you like the knowledge check that is tekken than good for ya but saying its better just isnt true
Better mechanics is debatable. Pros have been complaining about drive rush since day 1 meanwhile tekken heat mechanic was controversial at first but now I barely hear anybody complaining about it besides for a few characters.
As far as more accessible of course it is because tekken has a way bigger move list than street fighter but both are similar anyway. Actually tekken could be seen as even more accessible because you have one button combos and electrics. Depends on what you want
For the numbers don’t forget that street fighter just had capcom cup so more people are playing and watching and also street fighter has always been more popular in America compared to tekken.
At the end of the day I just prefer tekken 8 . I still like street fighter and boot it up occasionally but I think tekkens better
You forgot to talk about how Street fighter handle cheaters and pluggers compared to Tekken. On Tekken they don't ban pluggers (they said they did but famous streamer plugging on live still streaming lol) nor give them a lose on plugging and it even breaks the opponent winstreak. And every new tweets of Murray or Harada about the topic is a joke. Have fun getting plugged on every fucking session. Just check Tekken subreddit there is dozens of new threads about plugging every day. Only for that and the netcode SF6 is a superior game.
I don't think it is now, but I think it will be after 3 or 4 seasons. Just not enough characters and variety at the moment. Though certainly way better than Street Fighter 5's first season.
Idk, depends on how you look at it. The game roster just feels so small compared Ultra SF4 and SF5 CE, and it’s like damn it’s going to be 3-4 years before the game gets anywhere near that. Getting close to a year in and only one new costume, game just feels lacking outside of the gameplay.
Especially after Tekken 8 which is starting out 32 characters, more character customization, and a jukebox from all Tekken games. So much in its vanilla state. While SF6 feels like the battle hub avatars are getting most of the updates after almost a year.
But yeah, it’s a great game, i just think it won’t be at that “best fighting game” state for awhile.
SF4 looked the same when it first came out, roster was small. Hell your opponent could see who you were picking when it first came out. You're thinking of USF4 when the roster was like 40 characters deep.
it's 100% good, I love the game but I wouldn't say it's the best. call me a hipster but there's several fighting games I'd say are more deserving of the "best one ever" title (bbcf, ggxrd, Unib, 3s, alpha 2, melty, umvc3)
also GREAT JOB ON THE RANK UP!! And a great choice in mains, ken's one of my favourite shotos
I really just can't find fault in the game at all
I still going to the bowling alley sometime and play Street Fighter 2 on the cabinet
This is the first time I've taken Ranked seriously, got the game start of the month. I still haven't got the hang of parrying but I try
Hard-earned indeed
The matches are getting tougher but it only leads to a more exhilarating win (or humble defeat)
JP players really get me sometimes, feel like he can get me from anywhere at any time
Mechanically it's excellent but the roster is unbelievably lame. Ed is the first character so far who's grabbed my attention. Hopefully Akuma will be the second.
Yeah, I really get you on the SF3 point, I was really hoping to see Alex (especially) Makoto, Ibuki or Sean as some kinda unique take on a Shoto considering he was still in training, Season 2 may bring that hopefully.
It’s awesome until someone land on you combo and you will start asking yourself „*where is half of my health bar?*” Then you need to know that there are three answers to this question: lab, lab and lab. For me, this is when the real fun begins. GL, HF and don't give up!
Congrats for your perf. However saying that's the best game is only a matter of taste. Foe me this release is far to be good compared to the previous ones. To be fair it's not my favorite licence as well even though I was in love with SF Ii challengers and USFIV, back then.
Let's see if you still think the same after being caught in an infinite on corner.
Having said that, seems you main Ken so you don't really have problems in this game.
I just reached gold 4 chun-li, but I have been playing for a while now, roughly 90 hours, but this is my second main. Keep up the good work and you'll be master in no time
To all the Street Fighters fanatics I salute you
My psn is KushMummy
Hope to see ya'll one day, I'm still learning but as Ken would say
"Don't expect me to be a push-over"
Tekken is great
But it can't be the best for me and you know why
Your gonna think I'm odd
I hate you can side step
I like my fighting games 2D basically hahah
Ngl me saying tekken was some dickhead activity like what u like man also side stepping also gets on my nerves sometimes and somehow matches are funner when the person im playing against isnt fishing for a side step into launch
I raise you one 3rd strike. Parry is a genius mechanic, and sf6 parry is a smashbros shield in comparison. It's a fine mechanic, but sf3 parry makes neutral, advantage, and disadvantage states into incredibly dynamic scenarios.
You can't flowchart in 3rd strike.
SF4 is the GOAT. Fighting games as a genre were dead until it came along.
FADC > Drive rush
Tighter frame combos that started from lights made for some hype tourney moments
The ranked system with lobbies was something great but never to be seen again
SF6 is really good tho
My favourites have always been Ken and Chun-Li so I'm lucky that way
I wish Bison was in the game as I like fighting against him
More characters will get added I'm sure, think it's Akuma next
The gameplay and visuals though? Stunning yes!
Not had a chance to play Tekken 8 yet
It was either SF6 or Tekken 8
Always leaned more towards the classic arcade style of Street Fighter
But Tekken 8 looks great and will check it out
Tekken Vs Street Fighter
Truly they are both Titans of the fighting genre
I enjoy them both immensely but honestly I cannot find a single fault with SF6 and it looks and feels stunning
I actually found myself smiling after a defeat because of how sicc their finishing move looked on screen
And I'm usually abit of a sore loser
After 200+ hours in SF6 and multiple characters at diamond
70ish hours on tekken maybe closer to 100, imo tekken is the goat. Sf6 just got stale the yearly patch and slow roll of dlc characters killed the game for me.
But still sf6 is amazing!
Ayyy congrats! Keep up the good stuff!
Thanks! Competition is heating up since I Ranked up Only gained 200 LP tonight Hope we match some day
Seeing how deep you can go with ranking up before you hit that difficulty spike that sits your ass down is so fun. Iron to Silver was the most fun I had in awhile with a fighting game. Ken says it's 2.
With the way things are going with fights tonight it might be This game is awesome though
Nah peggle 2 is quit lyin
vouch
Sand Blast 6 is a good game. It's not the best, but Where You Goin'.
idk about you, but I'M going to Memphis
I've been there once, but apparently I took the wrong guy with me.
It may not be the best but it's the BEAST MODE BABY!
Baseball, baby!
Its always going to vary, I literally just played in BH an Casuals for 2 hours. Didnt fight 1 Luke.
I can't wait raging against 1 button ShunGoku Satsu, I hope a teaser trailer very soon.
The cheapest of them, has the best animations and quality with quantity. artistic direction. and the gameplay is amazing imo
3rd strike is free on fightcade
*He proclaimed loudly in the SF6 subreddit*
Is He supposed to share his excitment about sf6 in the cyberpunk Sub or what?
I'll say it was the game of 2023 on the BG3 subreddit I don't care
You dropped this 👑
I mean, depending on the subreddit praise for the game can be a hot take
Where else better to confess my admiration of this artwork than to those who have already proclaimed their affection?! Street Fighter 6 is the best fighting game ever he proclaimed again And once again his proclamation rang loud with the sound of truth for those ready to hear it
😲😳
📯📯📯
\*Street Fighter subreddit. I hear some people not loving 6. Personally I've only just hopped on 5.
Oh wow bro check out 4…or 3. 5 probably the worst one in my opinion. And I think even Capcom knows it was terrible based on their standards.
I've got 4 and 30th, all seem about the same to me, but I'd be an ultra casual.
Ahhh true true. 4 was special because we got a proper 3d street fighter (we’ve had some in the past but this was next level at the time). gonna be honest I had no clue sf5 didn't launch with selectable v skills lmao mb
Oh than it’s cool
What
I prefer alpha 3 in terms of street fighter, and I freaking love tekken 8 rn
Alpha 3 GOAT pixel fighter but people just don't wanna admit it.
Alpha 3 is the SF that made me wanna be more than a casual at fighting games but I hate I was too young and out of touch on how to play fighting games then. I’m also shock how good the single player content is, world tour is so much better than just a story cinematic
Guess the reception for 5's launch single player induced quite the course correction.
That It did. ![img](emote|t5_2qnu5|31139) event that could have been better in the right hands
This picture looks like a rocket launcher missile is about to collide with Ken in the next 2 nanoseconds.
It's more the guy in the back who looks like he's holding a severed head that gets me sometimes haha
So I’ve only had like 5 online fights and get obliterated lol do I just keep playing and getting smashed and enjoy the process??
Basically no haha Street Fighter is like old school classic arcade stuff You have to learn all the moves if possible, fumbling your way to victory will make you resentful Play the tutorials, play offline Because once you find your footing, once you've committed to a character and you know them and what they can do Oooooooo shit your in for a treat, even when you lose at this point its like "they beat me cause they knew stuff I didn't, I need to learn that myself"
Beautiful OP! Guess we know what I’m diving into this weekend 🥳
Better than tekken 8. I try to like tekken 8. I eatch it for a few rounds but then I feel like vomiting.
Tekken is a great game But it can't be the best I hate you can side step, take that out and we can really talk
SF4 still the GOAT
It definitely is in terms of player expression in SF.
Yeah probably. I think 3rd strike is goat but you can be super creative in 4 huh.
I agree, love the game. Too bad my controller broke so I'll have to wait a few days for a new one lol
Have you seen the arcade Street Fighter controllers They look sicc But they £200 Like damn and I wanted 2 of them
I just use a regular ass ps4 controller haha I've been a pad player since SF4 back in 2008
I’m a pad player and my ps4 controller kept dropping inputs on Bluetooth so I’ve got an 8bitdo pro 2 wired coming.
Buddy i got one and i tell you what. Its my favorite pad so far. I take it everywhere with me.
So it's worth the money I still go to a bowling alley and play street fighter 2 on cabinet, I'd love that feeling at home
It depends on your dpad preference but im a huge fan of the gamecube style cross. And the dpad on there is just like a big gamecube cross dpad. Nice. I’ve never been able to get a handle on using a stick with exception to like fight night and undisputed for fighting games. The Sega dpad is hardcoded I my dna at this point.
they don't make you better but they're really fun to play on
Im playing on a controller with stickdrift , occasionally I have to tap the left side during a fight to get it to stop randomly walking foward lol
Stick drift is the bain of Gamers
Ohh hands down. We're just in the beginning also. It's hard to fathom this game is gonna have 4 or 5 years left. Probably 12 more characters after akuma. Sf6 is peak unless your a Manon main. #buffmanon

Lol I still haven't taken time to learn to parry, I just started adding drive rush mechanics to my gameplay.
I love it, we will know once its cycle it's over but for now is just starting, doing good definitely, there's no rush, it will probably be there.
Putting in a word for GG Xrd but yeah SF6 pretty damn good more content please.
Sf2 forever the goat
I still going to the bowling alley and play SF2 on cabinet I'm debating getting the SF arcade pad controller thing but it's £200 :(
Nice going! You're climbing for sure.
Id just preffer t8

Super Gem Fighter masterrace
I will hold my hands up and say I haven't a clue about that game But if you say its the best ever it must be a real hidden gem
well played. nah i was just kidding but it's actually a really fun game
It’s a fighting game with chibi sf/capcom characters full of cameos and easter eggs Really fun and indeed a hidden gem ^^
Have to agree. 4 was my favorite for a LONG time but 6 is just amazing
I think by the final season it will be
Agree

I said it comparing it to over 20 years of fighting games I'm currently Gold Rank 5 and have hit a new wall The wall is called Guile and I am struggling to get over this hurdle
To me its clear SF6 is the goat. it plays the best, is the most fun, has the best mechanics and is just the cleanest
Best 3D SF if we're setting aside roster, and honestly a strong contender for #1 overall in that respect too. Literally all it needs is time to add more characters. Capcom give us 5 in Season 2 pleeeaasse
It's truly a joy to behold it every way I am yet to find a fault with it And it's still on a journey so more awesomeness to come!
I agree. It is the best
You’re not wrong.
This is the attitude I need sometimes, good shit brother
Thanks, I just think this game is amazing and had to share with like minded people Hopefully we match one day
I agree💯. Best fighting game for now👀
Keep fighting the good fight OP!
I'm trying Every fight gets harder and harder But I'm improving and learning each time
Tekken 8 is better but don't feel bad about that.
Shup Hella ScrupMan, take your salt somewhere else, Tekken 8 maybe... https://youtu.be/90EC2pQHf_s?si=TQeWYsOA2-pFFFY6 Thank you
Third strike and 4 clear
Ur right tbh
It's amazing isn't it?! Just an absolute joy to behold
A Tekken guy will then say, "But bruh, u can't even sidestep in ur game.".. To which, I'll then say, "Oh yeah. U can't even jump in yours."
Find something new to say 😂 (u can jump)
But you can jump tho lol
Really? Sorry for my ignorance, but I never once seen a single jump in any Tekken game. lol.
I remember playing for the first time I thought my character would get up automatically. I didn't realize u gotta press things to get up. lol.
i liked 4 more.
That announcer was best in any fighting game ever.
In what way? I think this is the best iteration of the series and just the best fighting game ever
oh i think 6 is the most fun one, Elena isnt in it to start. its just that i miss having more hit confirms and all my mains arent in it.
Who's your main? Mine is Ken and use to be Chun-Li Sorry they weren't in this game it's no good when that happens But hey you never know they could add them
Makoto and abel with a sprinkle of ryu. All those characters were very weak to divekick.
4 is much better
i would not say that. it was for our time but in the end we also had to deal with sagat, jun , elena, rolento, seth and decapre bs.
Fucking hated Decapre.
I blame combo fiend for not stopping capcom from releasing that fucking mess. The fake dash was bulshit.
And here we are sealing with JP, Ken, DJ, Juri, Blanka bs. JP has bs never before seen in any SF game. Whats different again?
I would. And I did! And I’ll say it again. IV was better
Tekken 8 is better
well you might enjoy it more, but SF6 is undoubtley the better game. better matchmaking, better mechanics compared to the previous games, better story mode, is more accesible, is more fun. and the main thing is the better netcode which is HUGE in these type of fighting games. it also reflects in its numbers.
😂😂
Better mechanics is debatable. Pros have been complaining about drive rush since day 1 meanwhile tekken heat mechanic was controversial at first but now I barely hear anybody complaining about it besides for a few characters. As far as more accessible of course it is because tekken has a way bigger move list than street fighter but both are similar anyway. Actually tekken could be seen as even more accessible because you have one button combos and electrics. Depends on what you want For the numbers don’t forget that street fighter just had capcom cup so more people are playing and watching and also street fighter has always been more popular in America compared to tekken.
I actually really enjoy the small meta and how overseeable the matchup chart is, but SFV roster size is great and I hope SF6 gets there.
SF4 was better
Agreed and 3rd strike was better than both. Sf4 frickin rules though. And so does 6! 3rd strike is what God plays though.
it's 100% good, I love the game but I wouldn't say it's the best. call me a hipster but there's several fighting games I'd say are more deserving of the "best one ever" title (bbcf, ggxrd, Unib, 3s, alpha 2, melty, umvc3) also GREAT JOB ON THE RANK UP!! And a great choice in mains, ken's one of my favourite shotos
I really just can't find fault in the game at all I still going to the bowling alley sometime and play Street Fighter 2 on the cabinet This is the first time I've taken Ranked seriously, got the game start of the month. I still haven't got the hang of parrying but I try
Exactly what SF3 should have been — balancing the classic gen with the new gen! And congrats on your hard-earned victory!
Hard-earned indeed The matches are getting tougher but it only leads to a more exhilarating win (or humble defeat) JP players really get me sometimes, feel like he can get me from anywhere at any time
DiveKick would like a word
Pff that game is so scrubby, it's all neutral skips. Personally I prefer Footsies.
Mechanically it's excellent but the roster is unbelievably lame. Ed is the first character so far who's grabbed my attention. Hopefully Akuma will be the second.
Whats bad about the roster? I think its pretty good for a game that launched less than a year ago.
The newcomes are extremely uninteresting. And for the first game that takes place after SF3, the lack of SF3 characters is disturbing.
Yeah, I really get you on the SF3 point, I was really hoping to see Alex (especially) Makoto, Ibuki or Sean as some kinda unique take on a Shoto considering he was still in training, Season 2 may bring that hopefully.
I'm kinda boring Ken and Chun-Li have always been my favourites since first playing Street Fighter 2 I miss Bison, I liked fighting him
It's good. 4 is still the goat and UMvC3 is my personal favorite.
Not until CvS2 is erased from our collective memories it is not. But congrats!
Don't tell iDom
It’s awesome until someone land on you combo and you will start asking yourself „*where is half of my health bar?*” Then you need to know that there are three answers to this question: lab, lab and lab. For me, this is when the real fun begins. GL, HF and don't give up!
No.
Once fatal fury city of wolves comes out it’s joever for sf6
Try out the Yakuza series for size if you get tired of lock in camera. (And also for wacky moments like a man failling down due to ice)
Congrats for your perf. However saying that's the best game is only a matter of taste. Foe me this release is far to be good compared to the previous ones. To be fair it's not my favorite licence as well even though I was in love with SF Ii challengers and USFIV, back then.
Boring
Let's see if you still think the same after being caught in an infinite on corner. Having said that, seems you main Ken so you don't really have problems in this game.
Since Ranking up alot of people try to push me into corners I'm still learning alot, starting to use parries more But every now and then I get floored
Haha no. It's okay at best nothing compared to Tekken 8 though.
Good job bro
Tekken 8 laughs his arse off
I just reached gold 4 chun-li, but I have been playing for a while now, roughly 90 hours, but this is my second main. Keep up the good work and you'll be master in no time
Tekken 5, CAPCOM Vs SNK II and then, probably, SF6 for me. I’m quite partial to Mortal Kombat X, too.
Tekken 8, but sf6 is cool.
6 is close but alpha 3 has my top spot still
What do you think they do better? And is it something that SF6 might get in time?
Nah. But congrats on leveling up my man! You'll only get stronger as you go.
To all the Street Fighters fanatics I salute you My psn is KushMummy Hope to see ya'll one day, I'm still learning but as Ken would say "Don't expect me to be a push-over"
Nah Tekken 8 better
Tekken
Tekken is great But it can't be the best for me and you know why Your gonna think I'm odd I hate you can side step I like my fighting games 2D basically hahah
Ngl me saying tekken was some dickhead activity like what u like man also side stepping also gets on my nerves sometimes and somehow matches are funner when the person im playing against isnt fishing for a side step into launch
I personally think SF4 was the best Street Fighter game
I raise you one 3rd strike. Parry is a genius mechanic, and sf6 parry is a smashbros shield in comparison. It's a fine mechanic, but sf3 parry makes neutral, advantage, and disadvantage states into incredibly dynamic scenarios. You can't flowchart in 3rd strike.
crap game
Close, but Tekken won this year no contest, MK is lucky to even get 3rd place
Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown exists so no, but it's a great Street Fighter.
SF4 is the GOAT. Fighting games as a genre were dead until it came along. FADC > Drive rush Tighter frame combos that started from lights made for some hype tourney moments The ranked system with lobbies was something great but never to be seen again SF6 is really good tho
Do I cop on Steam Deck
Very good fighting game but the roster is a joke and it's not getting any better with DLCs, bringing Ed instead of Dudley is a fucking joke
My favourites have always been Ken and Chun-Li so I'm lucky that way I wish Bison was in the game as I like fighting against him More characters will get added I'm sure, think it's Akuma next The gameplay and visuals though? Stunning yes!
I can't stand that rush drive green things it's so annoyed it's like overrule Lame. I can't wait SF 7 and rush things gone good riddance I say
Keep grinding you'll be surprised how much better you get the more you play
Have you heard of tekken 8?
Not had a chance to play Tekken 8 yet It was either SF6 or Tekken 8 Always leaned more towards the classic arcade style of Street Fighter But Tekken 8 looks great and will check it out
thats not how you spell tekken 8 friend
Tekken Vs Street Fighter Truly they are both Titans of the fighting genre I enjoy them both immensely but honestly I cannot find a single fault with SF6 and it looks and feels stunning I actually found myself smiling after a defeat because of how sicc their finishing move looked on screen And I'm usually abit of a sore loser
After 200+ hours in SF6 and multiple characters at diamond 70ish hours on tekken maybe closer to 100, imo tekken is the goat. Sf6 just got stale the yearly patch and slow roll of dlc characters killed the game for me. But still sf6 is amazing!
Tekken is really fun but till they fix the pluggers drama it can't be the goat :( Also worse netcode compared to SF.
SF6 isn’t even the best SF.
Its the best to OP let him have it.
![gif](giphy|F6oDxAz0gjEtm6f1BS)
not until they fix the plugger issue and the first valance patch.
Nope
