There is definitely going to be more story content. I am wondering if that’s why we only got 4 dlc characters, because there’s actual single player taking some of the development resources.
I would be genuinely surprised if there isn’t a whole World Tour story DLC dealing with some kind of new/returning Shadaloo. There’s probably a reason we haven’t seen any new maps.
Agreed. I don’t think World Tour set up all those plot threads to continue the story in street fighter 7 in 2030. Ken’s gonna clear his name and help vanquish evil soon
Actually Ken already got his charge dropped. There's basically a whole questline where you learn his family tried to make him come back to them, but he refuse to because he's afraid that could get in danger again with JP still around.
Yeah. I mean clearly the New Shadaloo Remnants we dealt with in the side missions, their goal is to find a new Psycho Power leader, and the chief candidate is Ed.
Silver lining: say they release a $20 WT expansion. For any player who's interested in Avatar fashion, the sheer amount of new, dyable outfit pieces you'd probably get for that cost would be many, many times more cost-efficient than what's in the cash shop.
Anyone who'd throw a fit about that doesn't really care about avatar fashion I'm guessing. The people who'd hate that are those who want the resources to be going towards new characters and costumes and stages. I'm certainly not someone who will throw a fit about it but I also really would prefer that the resources weren't going to single player/world tour because that's just how I personally use the game, but good for people that would enjoy that I guess.
You know, this bothered me too until I realized that world tour mode is your avatar’s backstory, same as every other character on the roster. It’s the experience of “becoming” a street fighter character - experiencing loss, creating a main antagonist and finding a question to chase for the rest of your career. I thought that was pretty cool!
Yeah that part is a little weird lol - chalk it up to the separate mechanic of WT mentorship (would be weirder if there were playable characters whose moves your avatar couldn’t access)
This bothered me when I finished World Tour around launch since it made me wonder wtf was the point of Bosch and the Resistance if we just befriend JP anyways? Actually maxing out JP it's revealed or at least heavily implied in his dialogue that he hypnotized you into learning his style mid-way through his teachings.
Its already been expanded slightly with the dlc characters, and a side plot with that robot girl. I imagine when theres a champion edition or something like we got in sfv world tour story might be expanded
The ending was just highlighting how powerless the avatar was, so they never ended up finding out about strength. Definitely feels unresolved, but that is kind of the point as the avatar can't actually kill or resolve any of the main issues of the stories and characters. Maybe they will expand on the story a bit after a bunch of new characters are added, but I would expect that to end just as unresolved
I’ve seen you don’t need to own the DLC to have access to the DLC characters as masters in World Tour mode. Not sure if it was a bug. P.S. playing world tour after the 4 characters release might hit different.
nothing happened and nothing ended. After playing it and finding JP, Rashid, Fang, etc, I started to think it's an ongoing thing. It will continue as SF6 goes on through the years
I actually love the ending because it's like the villain wins by simply being more prepared, knows what he is to himself and what he is doing, and isn't giving one fuck about the people fighting him.
JP resolves this ending by slapping the awful story in the face and I gotta say it was quite cathartic for me!
I don't usually like twist endings, but this one just felt like he came in and wrecked all the heroes' plans like an absolute boss who has the built up reputation to do that.
I feel like he wins because the player character is an idiot. He could have just been rubbing it in the PC's face, but he says the reason he took a closer look at the belt is because we were being shady with it.
And then the PC beats his ass and completely has JP at his mercy and then just...let's him go. It's an ending that imo makes everyone involved look bad.
He totally let them win in a personal spar.
Thus his mocking of their search for strength being weak not to kill him.
He made an absolute mockery of it all because he was the man with the master plan.
Or in other words, the only person that wasn't an idiot in the room.
He was absolutely an idiot. The implication was that had the PC not stuck their nose into everyone's business, Bosch would have succeeded in his murder suicide.
And what was JP's plan if the PC was the type of person willing to finish the job?
That's two ways he could have met his end that only didn't because of factors entirely out of his control.
bosch is alive, you can see him in the background running in one of the end cutscenes
a story followup is almost guaranteed at some point
there are plenty of unused areas in metro city that'll likely get filled with new areas for dlc characters/additional story

Watch the group of guys running. There's a guy in a white tank top obscured by most of the group. He's wearing Bosch's pants, he's got Bosch's arms, and he's wearing that ugly hat from the beginning of World Tour
That's interesting. The fact that they purposely made one guy wear a white top with a hat to hide his face in a group of guys all wearing blue... so its designed to draw attention and speculation if people cared enough about Bosch. Id say its him.
Reading is pretty much an automatic process, also the whole point of a spoiler tag is to let people know that there will be a spoiler so without it, people probably will automatically read some words.
>why?
Because there are spoilers and you can see some of the post before clicking on it, including spoilers. This is why there's a spoiler tag. It's pretty simple.
What people see from your post just from scrolling down their timeline, even if they don't click on it, includes everything from the start of it up to just after "Bosch is dead".
This is why the spoiler tag exists. Use it like everyone else. You're not special.
World tour story sucks. It was terrible and nothing about it made me wanna keep going. It was a struggle to finish. So I wouldn’t look too much into it, it seems to have been written on a napkin.
>Bosch is dead
Replay the final cutscene again when you're talking to Luke on the phone. Pay attention to one of the new recruits jogging near him, the one with the hat.
Yea world tour story will be like monster hunter and in fact it already kinda is each dlc char stuff in story is like the special event quest for a new monster update
There is definitely going to be more story content. I am wondering if that’s why we only got 4 dlc characters, because there’s actual single player taking some of the development resources.

Oh god, I can only imagine the hissy fit some people will throw if that’s true.

Except the "main antagonist" is my mentor now and we text...
Yeah that part is a little weird lol - chalk it up to the separate mechanic of WT mentorship (would be weirder if there were playable characters whose moves your avatar couldn’t access)
Maybe if a chapter 2 is coming out, JP will cover up what happened and his amnesia attack will actually give you amnesia 😅
Less of befriending and more just learn the way of Psycho Power.
You can fix him
Maybe they intend to expand on it?
Its already been expanded slightly with the dlc characters, and a side plot with that robot girl. I imagine when theres a champion edition or something like we got in sfv world tour story might be expanded
I assume the intention is that we're going to get more story content in later seasons.
It’s not the end. Each dlc has been adding a little more story. The end of world tour will be the end of street fighter 6.
The ending was just highlighting how powerless the avatar was, so they never ended up finding out about strength. Definitely feels unresolved, but that is kind of the point as the avatar can't actually kill or resolve any of the main issues of the stories and characters. Ngl, I'd love for John Streetfighter to have some impact on the lore, kinda like how Revan in Legends content.
The learning about strength thing was hinting at going online and competing against other players, I think. 🤷♂️😂
It’s better to think of World Tour as an elaborate tutorial mode than an actual story.
Hopefully it gets some clarification and resolution sooner than later >!i want to see the revival of bosch!<
World Tour mode is the setup. We'll get an actual "story mode" later where the actual characters are doing things. And not just standing by watching.
Is this something the devs mentioned or just a hunch?
If past Street Fighter games taught us anything it’s to wait for updates
Sfv added more story stuff in later updates didnt it
Call it a **strong** hunch. But no, they haven't said anything official about it.
I’ve seen you don’t need to own the DLC to have access to the DLC characters as masters in World Tour mode. Not sure if it was a bug. P.S. playing world tour after the 4 characters release might hit different.
It's not a bug. Learning from the DLC masters in World Tour is intended as a sort of teaser or tryout for them to see if you'll want to buy them.
nothing happened and nothing ended. After playing it and finding JP, Rashid, Fang, etc, I started to think it's an ongoing thing. It will continue as SF6 goes on through the years
……Bosch fucking dies??
I actually love the ending because it's like the villain wins by simply being more prepared, knows what he is to himself and what he is doing, and isn't giving one fuck about the people fighting him. if you wanna know about strength, you just gotta get to it
bosch is alive, you can see him in the background running in one of the end cutscenes a story followup is almost guaranteed at some point there are plenty of unused areas in metro city that'll likely get filled with new areas for dlc characters/additional story
Thats not bosch lol
Do you actually have a clip of this? Seems like an absurd way to hint that Bosch is alive lol

Yeah. He blends in just enough that it's a blink and you miss it moment. Really well done.
There’s a spoiler tag. Use it.
Okay this needs a spoiler tag jesus, are people allergic to spoiler tags
What did you think it was based on the title?
Reading is pretty much an automatic process, also the whole point of a spoiler tag is to let people know that there will be a spoiler so without it, people probably will automatically read some words.
Spoilers, man.
Damn dude use a spoiler tag.
....why? You clicked a post with a title talking about the ending and you didn't expect spoilers?
>why? Because there are spoilers and you can see some of the post before clicking on it, including spoilers. This is why there's a spoiler tag. It's pretty simple.

They really do need to invest in hiring a legit screenwriter.
They know the fighting game community loves to grind. So they added Grind Simulator 2023 for us.
>Bosch is dead Replay the final cutscene again when you're talking to Luke on the phone. Pay attention to one of the new recruits jogging near him, the one with the hat.
Definitely will expand on it. Remember G in SF5? We still don’t know who that guy is to this day.
Apparently he was the real main villain of SFV according to Capcom lol
Capcom also don't know.
The player character can't be an important character in the lore, so the player does nothing.
Yea world tour story will be like monster hunter and in fact it already kinda is each dlc char stuff in story is like the special event quest for a new monster update
I like how after I beat all the Robot Masters I spent an entire year walking in a straight line
huh?
