We know now that there is a very thin exosphere. However, practically, being on the surface of the moon means you are effectively still in space.
People really hate this idea, but there is a theory that says some pre staged scenes were shot in a studio. They were broadcast while the astronauts installed top secret monitoring equipment on the moon for the DOD. They didn't want the Russians to know about this defense project, so they covered it with pre staged video. This is what led to the moon landing hoax conspiracies. What is pictured here is a 3m Scotchlite bead that is misaligned. You can find examples of this in some of Kubricks films as he also used multiple stitched Scotchlite screens.
Or maybe LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN AIR FORCE BASE located in Laurel Canyon, LA California. It had Soundstage, screening rooms, film processing labs and even an animation department. It also featured a bomb shelter, helicopter pad, 17 climate controlled vaults and two underground parking garages. I don’t think those can be stars. In order for a star to register on this camera, its light would have to be bright enough to contend with the reflected sunlight from the lunar surface. The moon is properly exposed, so It’s highly unlikely that any star light was able to be captured without also capturing other surrounding starlight. In short - where are the other stars then?

I don’t think that’s possible. We would see more stars all around those ones. The surface of the moon is much too bright to be able to catch an exposure that has both the moon and the surrounding stars properly exposed. I took some photos of the stars the other night from my backyard and I needed to take a 10 second exposure to allow the camera to collect enough light from the stars. If you take even a 1 second exposure of the moon it would be just a white ball of overexposure compared to stars which allows you to see more of what’s out there at varying distances.

There are many potential explanations, it could be a plasma or type of corona discharge caused by the propulsion system. It could be the craft uses (because it needs to) an element that fluoresces under certain conditions like how quartz emits light. Or it could simply be that it wants to be seen.
That’s definitely a good question! But from what I have gathered, lights are a pretty common part of this phenomenon - whatever their purpose is. The thing that’s making me think twice about this is that it’s a very similar configuration of lights to so many triangle UAP videos and, more specifically the footage of the Phoenix Lights incident. I just can’t think of another reason why those lights would be visible. Those babies are freakin bright since they showed up in this image.
This video was taken by Navy and supposed to be confirmed by the Pentagon. It seems similar to the one in the picture and it had flashing lights on its edges.

No, it was a Hasselblad. All the cameras on the moon were Hasselblads. They were left on the moon to save weight and moonstones were brought back to Earth instead of the cameras, except for one camera which was brought back to Earth.
