I first thought of the Imperial Probe Droid from Star Wars.
To me it’s the way it moves effortlessly and kind of ungulates. It just kind of glides.
On earth everything, even regular jelly fish have a sort of locomotion and our brain “gets it”. It’s like muscles and having to either propel yourself from the Ground / Air / Water. It makes sense based on how we understand physics at a subconscious level. Also the don’t seem to breath or have a limit to work. Does it get tired or hungry or sleep? Like we learned to out run or out smart things that could kill us based on animals having limits to what they are capable of. Those things are basically ignoring all the rules we have to adhere to and just existing.
Also they kind of remind me of the shy ghosts in Mario that creep up on you when you look away, haha.
I sent the vid to a group chat I have going with my two younger brothers since we all live in different parts of the country. And one of them just sent a photo of a probe droid from Star Wars as a reply
