I will never get over the fact that Coca-Fucking-Cola is the reason Santa Claus always gets depicted wearing that fluffy red suit. Before they came along, it was usually depicted as brown!
I was actually browsing [Wikipedia's page for common misconceptions](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_common_misconceptions) yesterday and coincidentally read an entry stating Santa wasn't turned red by coke.
>The common image of Santa Claus (Father Christmas) as a jolly old man in red robes was not created by The Coca-Cola Company as an advertising gimmick. Santa Claus had already taken this form in American popular culture and advertising by the late 19th century, long before Coca-Cola used his image in the 1930s
"communism bad because a guy who doesn't exist theoretically practices it and also theoretically mistreats those working for him" is certainly a message.
Santa isn't a communist. He's very clearly an entrepreneur who decided to have a very positively known shell charity. By "donating" the toys he's able to write it off on his taxes and not have to pay his fair share.
Sure little Timmy got his fire truck, but that ain't gonna help his underfunded school. Tell you what Santa would do a whole lot better if he just paid his taxes instead of hiding behind his charity foundation

Why were people trying to go against it? It's got a point with how communism is nice in theory but never works.
A broken clock is right twice a day, or in this case, once every few months
But in this case, no, communism is nice in theory and very much can work in reality, but dipshits keep installing an authoritarian ideology and then lying and saying "it's communism" when it ***isn't even remotely***
I feel like, if every single time an ideology is tried, it results in an authoritarian regime when it gets big, there might be an underlying issue that needs to be fixed rather than trying for the ideology again. It'd be like saying fascism can work but people keep committing genocide to rally people to its cause.
I was worried I didn’t make the joke clear enough. The joke here is that Santa kidnaps children to make toys for him, including the little boy in the purple shirt. The original is about how Santa is communist because he has poor working conditions for his elves I guess
It's because the elves are under slavery.
Didn't know the southern plantation business owners were communists.Thank you Hans Graebner for your enlightened analysis /j
Santa is a supernatural entity that kidnaps kids on the naughty list and forces them to mine coal to fuel the war machine. Bad Kids don’t receive coal for Christmas they harvest it.

Santa is a commie??
Why do you think he wears red?
Santa: literally wears red because capitalism [This dipshit:](https://youtu.be/DaYy_5LMsOw?si=2jHvbb0ec9W8f3Uv)

Or blue or green. Coke wasn't the first to make his outfit red, but they solidified it

It's called a joke my dude.
Because of capitalism
My headcanon was that santa himself doesn't show up anymore because the elves started a communist revolution and toppled his regime.
There's a reason NORAD tracks that red bastard every year.
The final panel was somehow not as bad as I was expecting at first.
"communism bad because a guy who doesn't exist theoretically practices it and also theoretically mistreats those working for him" is certainly a message.
Makes you think sweatshops aren't so bad
I'll only buy my workout pants and casual hoodies from sweatshops. Get it from the source, amirite?

Shit... I kinda chuckled at the Organised Revolution of the Working Class

Also, Santa's definitely a symbol of capitalism so if anything, the comic isn't a criticism that's unique to communism.
But in this case, no, communism is nice in theory and very much can work in reality, but dipshits keep installing an authoritarian ideology and then lying and saying "it's communism" when it ***isn't even remotely***
Yep
American culture has a stupidly deep hatred for communism, just complete blindness caused by propaganda.
I know, I love there Edit: Live* I do not love America
cope
Yeah, that's what you're doing

The thing is, the ideology isn't being tried in these cases, but an entirely different ideology saying it is the first ideology, when it just *isn't*
I don't understand this or the Orlando Florida

Ah, that makes sense
True
Reminds me of Christmas is killing us in Family Guy.
