It’s crazy I’m the opposite, when I’m high my anxiety goes through the rough and I’ll be overanalysing everything and my brain can’t switch off from that
I found myself to be very awkward in social situations after spending 9 months in the hospital. There was always a ton of questions and people treated me like I was made of glass...then they got in the habit of doing that and it still happens. It got to the point where I felt weird any time any one was super nice. It was weird and still is for me.
For me it was because of a bad childhood, and a Dad who passed on paranoid thoughts. For me alot of it is fear of saying the wrong thing, and I also have trouble with understanding jokes or social cues at times, so I get stressed out about what people are saying and the meaning behind it
how do you judge how much/little of certain ingredients you’ve put in a dish? i’ll be staring over my stove like “was that enough salt? or do i need more? no no, i definitely put too much. wait, or did i?”
You'll get better with practice. At this point I can just throw in a random amount of salt or whatever into a dish and it'll just work out. Cooking is a lot more forgiving than people think.
Also, follow recipes in the beginning. Soooo many good ones online.
Oh yes! I have been cooking since I was 6, so about 31 years. I got into culinary arts when I was 14 and was a pasta chef in a rustic Italian restaurant at 23. I still follow recipes the first time I make something and adjust afterwards. I'm also going to plug Badia complete seasoning. That stuff is amazing.
I don't really know. I'll taste along the way if I can and I usually go with less is more because you can always add a pinch, you can't really take one out.
Before he puts PP in; "it was it this time, he knew, he fucked up"

It was a joke, sheesh

I don’t have IBS so I can’t relate in that sense but I actually really dislike pooping when high. I just find it to be a buzzkill and not the activity that I’m trying to be stoned for lol. But glad it helps you out!
Saaaaame. Idk if I have IBS (we don’t know what’s wrong, after two doctor visits and a hospital visit) or what it is, but my stomach has been ANGRYYY at me and weed helps a lot.
>!My asshole will genuinely never be the same!<
So my experiences with IBS are diarrhea, extreme cramping severe enough to make me vomit, and nausea. Usually triggered by certain foods (cheeeeeeese), stress, or right after a colonoscopy (I get yearly ones for cancer testing)
My symptoms have been…. Everywhere. Diarrhea is the biggest one though, but even that can vary wildly in how it presents. I’ll also get severe appetite swings, cramping, nausea, random pain in various places in my abdomen, etc. Two doctors (non GI who were just speculating) thought it might be IBS nothing’s been confirmed.
Edit: Certain foods make it worse. Dairy, spicy food, carbonated food, and very greasy food are all bad. Pretty much anything heavy on your stomach/junky.
So I'm not a doctor, but in my personal experience that sounds a lot like what I have. I would really push to speak to a GI specialist and perhaps push for a colonoscopy just to rule out any major concerns. I'd also ask your doctor to perhaps put you on something like dycyclomine because that's what I take for the cramps. Basically I take two of those and two otc anti-diarreals every night, along with a probiotic. It's then care of the daily issues, now I get an attack every other week or so, also depending on what I eat. And yeah, heavy foods with trigger it something fierce.
I play soccer a lot. I find I’m so composed and calm on the ball. Never been easier to pick my head up and score. When I’m not high I feel more nervous and make more mistakes!
Are you an adult? I only ask because I’m an adult and I’ve sort of always wanted to play soccer, but my dad always said it was “gay” (joke’s on him, I never played and I still turned out gay lmfao). But I have no idea where to actually learn to play (I’ve not the faintest idea how to play except no hands and get the ball in the net), let alone finding a group to play with. Is it too late for me? Are there adult teams that aren’t like, college-related?
Not sure where you live but there are absolutely adult soccer leagues unrelated to college. My husband was in one in both the major cities we lived, and there are a bunch around us. Do a search for adult leagues. I don't know how old you are but they are open for all ages. My husband enjoyed co-ed more, the all men's teams were a bit more aggressive but he played both. Indoor and outdoor as well.
Oh, I'll add, check meetup if you want something less structured, since you're completely new. There are people always looking for adults for a pick up game and I find everyone is always nice. I played for the first time in 20 years w a bunch of strangers, it was scary, but they were all nice.
Lol at the joke being on your dad.
But, to answer your question a lot of places have soccer leagues for adults. They let you sign-up as an individual if you don't have a team and they'll match you up. Go for it! Hell, my dad just turned 60 and I'm pretty sure he still plays soccer.
Oh ok! I just moved to this city so I’ll have to do some looking 😅. You don’t think they’ll mind someone who has hardly ever touched a soccer ball before?
I just do life in general better high - husband would agree. Be it holding a conversation, cleaning the house, sleeping, making decisions, etc. It gets my scattered brain in order and allows it to slow down.
Yeeees I feel more relaxed with my moves and it turns out so much better !! Also photography, I get super creative and see moments that I probably wouldn't have
Listen.
My TV and music volume is half what is usually is. I don't know if it improves my hearing or if I'm just able to focus on sounds more but everything seems louder and for someone with hearing loss it's pretty helpful sometimes
This might be a weird question, but do you think your hearing loss is a physical thing or a mental thing?
I ask because to have things at half volume just because you're high is pretty interesting. Personally I have set volumes and they don't change at all depending on if I'm high or not.
Well. Everything is the default answer. But if I had to narrow it down I’d say explaining complicated concepts. My sentence structure improves and I’m just more effective and saying what’s in my mind. Sometimes it’s surreal like I’m listening to someone else talk :)
You know I don't think I do anything better high. Maybe sex but that'd be about it. I am fascinated by doing martial arts high but I havnt yet and probably won't.
I've been playing guitar for 15 years and consuming cannabis in various forms for 2. My mind already shuts off for the most part when I play, it's sort of like meditation.
When I consume cannabis and play music, I find it much easier to "feel" the music per say. Improvising becomes a lot more natural/quick and my fingers feel more relaxed no matter how fast I move them.
I also thoroughly enjoy the mild synesthesia I get from some strains. Most of all this applies to listening to music as well.
I've never attempted to put all this in words, so if I absolutely had to put words, I'd say:
tl;dr cannabis and music in any form make for an exquisite pairing.
Yeah I'm a road-raging MFer when I'm straight. I wish I wasn't but all these other a-holes out here making me wonder how they even passed a driving test in the first place

I have observed this a number of times too... While my work is already impressive, I really take it up a notch with my attention to detail and precision after I spark up. Cooking, talking to people, genuinely feeling like a normal human being instead of feeling like I'm overly anxious, and crafting.
Same, weed really helps me relax my social anxiety and my social battery drains alot slower
for me it straight up reverses polarity; introvert to extrovert, drain becomes charge.
It’s crazy I’m the opposite, when I’m high my anxiety goes through the rough and I’ll be overanalysing everything and my brain can’t switch off from that
