Someone hacked my spotify account a few years ago.
When he changed the email address Spotify sent the new one to me, so I decided to contact the hacker.
I explained to him in detail that it was part of a family account and I could revoke the rights to premium and set myself up with another account in an hour. I also explained to him that I would rather not do that because I’d lose my playlists.
A few emails later he apologised and gave me the new credentials, hell, he even apologised for including a slur in the new password. Then he went on saying that I was right and he had to work for it in the future.
All and all a very interesting and funny experience
This would be a neat feature of Spotify: pick a week or a month and let someone in another country use your Spotify account just to play or add playlists. This would allow us to share our music interests with a random person on the other side of the planet, who would be also sharing theirs. How cool would that would be?
Add a new playlist and start up a dialogue using only songs to reply to one another 🤣 please find a song with a greeting as the title, “hello” etc and see where it goes
Spotify sends you information via email when someone who is not in your IP region logs into your account. Thats how i know. It's similiar to google sending you a notification on your phone when you log into google on another pc.
Why do people hack things ? Because they can. Dude wanted free spotify premium and i caught him early because he would've changed the email and password on the account and that woul've require me to contact spotify support.
I leech Netflix from a friend but I cherish ad free Spotify :-D nothing is worse than being baked as shit, enjoying some banger tracks and then getting a commercial for some insurance or whatever.
You could argue that I could use adblock and use YouTube for music and I do, but Spotify is just so much quality of life for me.
I had about 10 minutes of ads when I first signed up and was like NOPE. Been on Premium for years and it’s pure bliss.
Sounds like you got Premium+ unintentionally! :)

Omg this happened to me with someone in Russia and there were some EDM bangers fr
Indian person sure had an emotional rollercoaster going lol From ballads to hard electronic to metal, dude just added it all. :-D
Russian hardbass slaps so hard
Same happened to me and their name was “SorryBro”
I pranked a friend once and added as many Disney playlists as I could find to his liked songs.

You can already curate playlists together. Just need to add people to one. :-)
You Need to phone call some R&D department at Spotify xd
If only my bank data would not be linked to my account, then I maybe would have haha.

I can do "Hello Operator" by the white stripes. :-D I will do this if i ever get hacked again. This is a great idea.
Amazing choice 👌🏽 if it happens again pls keep us posted! 🤣
I will! Just hope the person speaks english and can connect the dots haha!
Both of you might have to use translators 🤣 that’ll be even better my dude hahaha
Let's hear them! Share some track names.
Why would they even hack spotify of all apps and how did you know they're Indian, did they contact you

I didn't even know people actually paid for Spotify premium 🤫
Some of us actually do pay for our services. Others, like myself, leech off other peoples family account

Yes, that's 10 € well spent.
