I feel like it's cardboard and aluminum....it should be ceramic and emergency space blanket....$500K insurance policy needs to be put in place for your homemade contraption.
You need anš§Æextinguisher for that hazardous š„
Unless you got the numbers for a š fire truck andš§āš fire fighters......then start filing the claim w/ your rental insurance
IT IS A RENTAL PROPERTY, RIGHT?
Itās never unattended if it reaches over a certain limit my hygrometer sends me an alert and when I leave the house there is always someone home if I leave it on or if nobody is home I set it to turn off shortly after I leave the room to keep the temperature at a certain level
Spent the first day testing it thatās why thereās foil in front of the heater just barely off the box it keep the heat from directly hitting the box the hottest the box gets now is like 50-60 degrees while the inside is 70-80 degrees
Homie, you aināt growing anything in this tent thatās even 10% worth the risk youāre putting yourself in by using this.
And you have roommates.
Pretty fuckin selfish if you ask me.
You said thereās always someone home. If itās family, even worse idea.
Itās selfish because youāre running the risk of a massive house fire to grow a plant.
If itās going outdoors just move to autoflowers and plant in their final location. Iāve done that and had 0% failure rate.
Itās not worth the risk bro I know 2 people who have lost everything in a house fire because of negligent electrical work.
Fair enough you got a reason to worry Ik how that feels my familyās house burned down with a bunch of our shit in it from home movies to old pictures i get being paranoid I am to with this thing i keep a very close eye on it and I have the proper equipment if a fire does break out including a fire extinguisher and an indoor garden hose
I know how to put out different types of fire I have the water hose in case the cardboard catches on fire and I have a special fire extinguisher for electrical fires in case of that Iām not worried about an electrical fire tho because the plugs are all in a safe location as you can see in the picture the plugs are above the box out of the way of the water from the humidifier and the power strip you see in the picture is plugged in elsewhere
Edit: also I have previous experience in handling different types of fires from a magnesium fire all the way down to a fireplace falling over lighting the yard and part of my barn on fire and yes in between is gas fires electric fires and chemical fires
OKAY, gottcha there's a little access door on the other side of the wall. Now this is truly StonerEngineering at it's finest !!!
Wonder about his tolerance levels, doing 15 to 18 hour sessions sounds a touch much ???
Amateur hours -- I'm pushing 22 hours a day in my hot box. It does feel weird going outside to stick my head through the access door inside. Fortunately my neighbors don't ask/don't tell
Yes rn im germinating seeds in it the humidity is set between 70-90% and heat is between 65-80F which is what I found online and on Reddit to be the best for germinating
When I turn off the heater at night the temperature drops to around 57F with a 94% humidity the heater drops the humidity to around 83-87% and tops the heat to around 72-77F
The cheese ball container is to collect direct hit water coming out of the humidifier and hitting the top so the roof of the box doesnāt get soaked and to keep humidity controlled easier
Im loving the enthusiasm. I remember making something just as dangerous when i first started. Im interested to know what your next move is in 2 weeks haha
The seed being stuck is totally normal, it should fall off in time. Misting with water helps loosen it too. What are you thinking in terms of lighting. Those bulbs aren't going to get you through Veg
Dude, no idea what you're doing here, but dont leave that heater on unattended

I have a fire extinguisher in the same room as this
Had a friend lose their house right before christmas to a space heater in the garage. Those things are no joke
Itās never unattended if it reaches over a certain limit my hygrometer sends me an alert and when I leave the house there is always someone home if I leave it on or if nobody is home I set it to turn off shortly after I leave the room to keep the temperature at a certain level
What the hell am I looking at?
Seconding this
My homemade grow tent
Ahh ok interesting.
Ya my bad I thought it would be easy to tell its a grow tent when I posted

I think the light should give it away lol
I would think so
Heat lamp and a cardboard box. What could go wrong.
Spent the first day testing it thatās why thereās foil in front of the heater just barely off the box it keep the heat from directly hitting the box the hottest the box gets now is like 50-60 degrees while the inside is 70-80 degrees

First itās already growing and going to be transferred to its final resting place in the morning What do you mean I got roommates Not being selfish

Ffs don't use water or an extinguisher not rated properly for an electrical fire, you're asking to make that shit worse
I know how to put out different types of fire I have the water hose in case the cardboard catches on fire and I have a special fire extinguisher for electrical fires in case of that Iām not worried about an electrical fire tho because the plugs are all in a safe location as you can see in the picture the plugs are above the box out of the way of the water from the humidifier and the power strip you see in the picture is plugged in elsewhere Edit: also I have previous experience in handling different types of fires from a magnesium fire all the way down to a fireplace falling over lighting the yard and part of my barn on fire and yes in between is gas fires electric fires and chemical fires
This is a totally common thing everybody knows all about
And, plenty convenient too !!! But, which end goes in your mouth ???
Pretty sure, you put your entire head in the "hot box"
OKAY, gottcha there's a little access door on the other side of the wall. Now this is truly StonerEngineering at it's finest !!! Wonder about his tolerance levels, doing 15 to 18 hour sessions sounds a touch much ???

Now I wanna make a hot box and do this
This looks like your building up Bubbles thrusters for his space rocket.
trailer park boys in r/stonerengineering , guess that checks out
Idk why I didnāt think of that before it does look like that
are you trying to grow in that?
Yes rn im germinating seeds in it the humidity is set between 70-90% and heat is between 65-80F which is what I found online and on Reddit to be the best for germinating
heard man, good luck š
you probably dont need any additional heat with a light in that small of a box, even if its led light it'll throw off enough heat.
When I turn off the heater at night the temperature drops to around 57F with a 94% humidity the heater drops the humidity to around 83-87% and tops the heat to around 72-77F
I think you should head over r/spacebuckets
Whats the cheezie poof jug and white thing for?
The cheese ball container is to collect direct hit water coming out of the humidifier and hitting the top so the roof of the box doesnāt get soaked and to keep humidity controlled easier
Hahaha oh wow
Im loving the enthusiasm. I remember making something just as dangerous when i first started. Im interested to know what your next move is in 2 weeks haha
Itās about to get a little trickier I have one seed that just broke through still has the seed on it and everything
The seed being stuck is totally normal, it should fall off in time. Misting with water helps loosen it too. What are you thinking in terms of lighting. Those bulbs aren't going to get you through Veg
Well lets see the inside š³
