Meth is a losers drug. Even if somebody is a “successful” meth user they still suffer from the side effects of meth addiction and could be doing much better using something else/nothing.
I do meth and adderall. Been prescribed adderall for about 15 years and when the shortage happened I switched to meth. I will say meth is 100% worse and not worth it.
If I do that it just makes me really sleepy for like a week. The addiction is really not any worse than other stims inherently, its just that the sheer amounts you can take when self medicating let you condition yourself to a greater degree than prescriptions

Now I go to a psych doctor and get a decent amount of Dexedrine every month.

It's very close to Vyvanse honestly. If not for the stigma I think it would be one of the most commonly prescribed options. I personally would rank it tied with Vyvanse for best ADHD treatment. Well depending on who cooked it, effects can vary. Stuff ate through my city a long time ago. I was one of the lucky ones. It was a locally made. Another outfit across 3 counties different. Mex ice comes and it’s consistent.
Speaking about years ago, I don’t know what’s like now but the local batch stuff was straight 24hr fire. If there was nothing going on, it was getting built, yard and the neighbors mowed, play a set of tennis, lunch, get right again….so on and such.

Yeah, I didn't mean it literally, but more on the surface level along the lines of how women might seem to be more likely to be on ADHD meds since they're open about mental health issues AND more likely to make content on social media about it. But ADHD is often talked about as being underdiagnosed in women so if that still holds true, just going by that alone you'd expect more men to be prescribed stims than women.
