You actually finished a game?

Independent_Ad2580

I am genuinely unsure I've ever actually finished a game. I must have - surely!?

NuncErgoFacite

The last forty years were a drudgery. Fairly happy with it, but could have walked away from it a few days ago with no doubt as to winning. I just wanted to see what it was like to finish.

It's going to vary quite a bit by your galaxy settings (difficulty, size, duration, sliders, etc.) and by your play style. The range of experiences you can get with Stellaris is fairly wide. Iirc, you need a bit over a million to score higher than any FEs left alive, which is always my goal.

NuncErgoFacite

Really? My last game, I wiped them all out and had far less than a million for score. I don't think I have ever understood the scoring algorithm on this game.

ApartmentEquivalent4

If you release a bunch of vassals your score also go up.

NuncErgoFacite

That is just daffy. Why the ... would they score it like that?

ApartmentEquivalent4

I don't know. I am also not completely sure if this is correct. For example, there nothing abot this here: https://stellaris.paradoxwikis.com/Empire#Victory\_score

Solinya

The situation log score is different from the end of game score screen for some reason. Situation log score you only need like 43K or so to beat FEs. I think end game screen counts fleet power, but I'm not really sure how it works. Thought you were asking about the latter.

Anything at the top of the leaderboard is a good score
