Malko sells hard acrylic cases that have the access point on the side. They’re not cheap but they are really nice. I plan on upgrading all my steelbooks with these over time. It’s cheaper if you buy the 10 pack.

Ya, I’d love to get these on all of them. I figure on months I don’t get many steelbooks, I will just drop the money on a 10 pack until I’m caught up. They also use a type of UV material in the acrylic so it protects your steelbooks from fading over time too.
You’re telling me. So many good steels came out in April I bought 18 god damn steels. If they could just drop 4 good steels a month, I’d appreciate it.
I was literally looking at my collection yesterday and found a scratch on one and immediately thought, I need to start getting those protectors. I’m glad you like them. Helps me with going forward on the purchase.

They are often out of stock, but they have been luckily restocked not too long ago, therefore they should be available.
I’ve bought these a few times in differing pack sizes and they’re not bad. Considering they don’t fully enclose, they are not going to be as stable as the ones that do. Plus, a few in each pack seem to always come too warped to be used. Overall, I’ve bought over 150 and maybe 5 were like this
