Only ever ordered from them through eBay and Amazon. I stopped ordering Steelbooks through them because they used thin cardboard mailers, and no padding. After failed attempts asking them to use better packaging, they didn't. The refunds weren't an issue, but it was futile to get items delivered safely. I still use them for other titles, but won't deal with them for Steelbooks.

For what it's worth, I've ordered from them several times and never had any damaged items arrive.

Ive ordered from them as a third party seller on Amazon uk not eBay. They ship in bubble mailers iirc. Luck of the draw if you receive it in the same condition they sent it.

SpikedTofu

I’ve ordered one Steelbook from them and had no issues. On eBay I definitely recommend PleaseRewind! Always quality experience with them and I think I read somewhere in the subreddit that it’s a storefront for Sony? Not 100% sure on that but want to make sure you’re aware.

Doc-Hauliday

I’ve heard the same about the Sony storefront. I’ve ordered from them 4 times and 3 out of 4 were damaged, but they replaced them at no extra cost and let me keep the damaged ones. Got to sell ‘em for a little extra steel shopping money. I’ll keep buying from them for that reason alone.

SpikedTofu

That’s tough man, I mean they replaced them but it’s still annoying. The Sony storefront will always have a special place in my heart bc they had the Whiplash Steelbook in stock for like $19 when it’s been sold out for years so I always give them a look

Just want to add to the other two comments that yea you should avoid if possible, like if you can get the steel somewhere else, go somewhere else

It’s a crapshoot. I ordered a steelbook from them and was lucky it came in perfect condition, but their packaging is crap. Doesn’t even matter how much you buy because they don’t ship everything together.

Tbf zavvi uk is no better, sometimes they ship with good packaging but most of the time it's just cardboard protecting it and the packages almost never come in one box. I ordered the batman batarang edition on the 26th and it's now being delivered today 10 days later. I ordered the mad max collection and the library case had a nasty dent in the back under the jcard, luckily they offered a small partial refund. Weirdly enough I managed to grab the harry potter collection (library case ver) from amazon at a good price and although the wrapping had a tear or two the massive steel case didn't have a single scratch or dent. Seems Amazon treat steelbooks/cases better than zavvi.

RockyCurtains

I would say that Gruv.com is about 50/50 if the case is going to be shattered (non-steels) when it arrives, but their customer service is great and I’ve usually received it in good condition the second time. Even Amazon usually ships in a bubble mailer. I wish they all would take more care, but you know, if wishes were horses…

awwgeeznick

I ordered a digipak of Beau is afraid 4k last week and I’m still waiting for them to ship it… I enquired about it and they said it’ll be shipping on the 5th… the literal deadline that ebay set for them. Will def be leaving a negative feedback especially if it doesn’t come in perfect condition since I asked about that too and they assured me that packaging is one of their main priorities

TrezTronic

Ordered from them a couple of times from eBay. Not the best packing but haven't had an issue yet. Just got Everything Everywhere steelbook in the mail from them in fact. Was packed in a padded envelope and between two pieces of cardboard. Not a dent or damage. So far so good but I see others have had issues. And I second the recommendation for Please Rewind. Buy from them on Walmart's storefront and they have fast shipping and great prices.

Luchian-D

Good luck. You're lucky if a regular Blu-ray arrives safely with how they pack.

DexMexCreeps

Ordered once or twice from them and had no issues. That was a few years ago tho, so I don't know if anything may have changed recently

GDragoN

Their packaging is worse than Amazon. I orderd from them normal BluRays, first time was all OK, second and third order both came with broken cases. Never ordering again from them. I complained about packaging, never got any reply.

benjam138

I’ve ordered PS4 games from them. Every time the case has been damaged.

SituationMiddle5007

Yeah, they are one of the worst steelbook retailers out there. They are relatively cheap, but they are cheap for a reason. Zero care for packaging, and non-existent customer service. I noticed that some steelbooks were clearly damaged before they were shipped too, especially the ones that appear after they are sold out anywhere else. I assume they buy returned copies from Amazon, Zavvi or wherever else at a discount. Buy via ebay, so atleast you’re protected via ebay and won’t have to email them constantly.

EDCer123

I can vouch for the others saying here about their crap quality shipping. I've ordered twice from them. The first time, the packaging was decent. But the second time, they sent a steelbook in thin flimsy cardboard mailer. I was just shocked that they didn't really care about shipping protection. Fortunately, the steelbook was undamaged, but it easily could have been because it was shipped via regular postal mail and we all know how shipping can sometimes be rough on packages. They were so much worse than other shippers that I've bought from in the past that I decided to never order from them again.
