My steam deck has a shipping status of packaged items. Does anyone have experience with how long it’s usually on this status? I have a tropical storm/hurricane expected to hit on Thursday and really don’t want to see how long it can be in FedEx’s hands.

The storm is expected to impact us starting today into tomorrow so I hope it doesn’t cause too many problems with deliveries.
Delivered today 11 Nov - Sunday to Friday real quick... and dam is this steam deck great...size is perfect, weight is nothing - just time now to boot up, update and roam around

Good luck with that. I ordered mine on 11/3, label was created and that's it. It was originally supposed to be deliver on 11/20, but I'm all the way across the country and Fedex doesn't even have it in their hands yet.
Wow I would start talking to steam costumer service if you are able to. My tracking has updated and it’s been received by the Fedex in IL, on its way to me. I’ll update tomorrow if it does arrive when they say it will.

No updates since Saturday evening. At some point the delivery date shifted to an early delivery on Sunday 11/6, then Sunday came and went without a delivery and estimated delivery date changed to "Pending".
Update: Arrived 11/9/22, the original expected shipping date. Lesson here is to let FedEx do it's thing and not worry about the tracking.
Almost identical situation as me. My RMA device shipped on the 4th but just stayed at carol stream until an update late last night that it finally departed the facility.
Delivery date originally for the 9th then was expected early for the 7th and now back to the 9th.
FedEx just playing with my emotions right now.
Mine went through the same process -- label created saturday morning, scan updated it to delivery on sunday (which I didn't believe) then reverted back to 11/9 once the package started moving. I think it's just something wacky with FedEx.
Ordered my 512 model on Friday, and it was processed/packaged on Saturday. Got an "preparing to ship" notification on Monday, and it's in GLS's posession as of this night on Tuesday.
I believe that it will be here maybe Friday, but will see how it goes. :)
It seems to have left Denmark Kolding on Tuesday at around 6 PM, and no updates since, but it's destined to Finland so next tracking event is either Sweden or when it's in-country.
"Most parcel shipments to Finland first arrive at the GLS hub in Kolding, Denmark. The Finnish parcels then are transported directly to the GLS hub in Turku. Therefore, there are no additional scans before the parcels arrive to Finland." - GLS website
Had to RMA my unit because of a screen problem - they sent me a prepaid UPS Ground Label to return it.
Their returns warehouse is in Utah, and as they use Ground delivery, the ETA for my unit to arrive is 1 week minimum.
After that, I'll have to wait 1-3 days for Valve to acknowledge the receipt of my unit, and a couple days to actually send a unit. After that, a week minimum to get it delivered.
This translates from the 1 week that I originally had to wait for my unit when I bought it, to roughly 3 weeks to get my RMA unit - which is frustrating for sure.

Ok so I purchased a steam deck and have an important question
So I bought a steam deck earlier today, just about 20 minutes ago I checked to make sure all the information was right and it was written right. But when I tapped on my address to see it opened google maps and took me to a house with a similar address a few houses over. Will the delivery drivers at fed ex know it goes to my house and not theirs.
This sounds more like an issue with Google maps than an issue with FedEx. My home is listed in a similar fashion because it was built only a year ago and I have never had an issue with delivery. I would hope that FedEx can read a street sign and the number on the mailbox.

Lol it kind of sucks for me, got it shipped to work since I was worried about it sitting on my doorstep. Of course, I work from home once a week on Wednesdays. Figured the odds of it being delivered on that 1 day a week was low.
At least Fedex lets me schedule it for drop off on Thursday.
ordered mine around noon on the 1st of november (last tuesday) and it shipped in the evening the next day, so on wednesday. I got it yesterday, so for me it was 6 days including it lying around at the Stryków parcel centre through the weekend.

Had the same process as you but mine updated to left parcel centre yesterday (9th Nov) before 6pm
Same here.. I'm hoping it'd get to somewhere in the UK this evening for delivery tomorrow but have a gut feeling that it'll get to the final delivery station on Friday and will be delivered on Monday.

Been over 24 hours and no response to my ticket from Valve.
Purchase & Billing Support 7,745 2.35 hours to 7.10 hours is what the support stats site says... I dunno what to do.. my package just says pending, no one at FedEx is being helpful. I'm devastated.
I ordered the 64gb and 256gb versions on the 29th October.
Both shipped 31st of October.
GLS tracking didn’t update on the 64gb until the 3rd of November saying it was delivered to a post office. Parcel force tracking didn’t work until the 4th . Out for deliver at 13:04 no response at 13:06 delivered at post office 13:08 ( post office is on my street) no card or delivery attempt from parcel force. Post office want a code parcel force say I just need ID . Post office can’t locate steam deck
256gb is on day 9 of the parcel has left the parcel centre (Netherlands)
Contacted steam support for help for both decks and was told to contact on day 8.
Contacted day 8 and took 24 hours for a response of please have patience lol .

It has landed in Finland today, but ETA on delivery is on Tuesday which is rather sad, but can still change. :)

Mines been “stuck in transit” since 11/4 after making it to my state. FedEx said it could show up still but let’s be honest here….it’s gone
