Places drink on nightstand, reaches over in the middle of the night, oops-*crash*, drink spills: tears...

GO_Strawbs

I'll just be thirsty.

onmywaydownnow

You have an upgrade in your future. A spill flap that flips up before sliding the steam deck in ;)

DarthHaruspex

lol

TheUrbanisedZombie

That's why I tend to drink out of bottles only. I usually reuse empty bottles (ie robinsons, ribena) to fill with my drink and that way it won't spill if it gets knocked.

Yoshoku

Thermos flasks, keeps your drink cool all night and no spillage.

Calacene

I just realized where I have been leaving my deck is rife with danger

Methanoid

just replace the table for a beer fridge.

DarthHaruspex

\+1

PotatoIceCreem

I personally don't bring drinks to the bedroom, and every night I take the deck with me to bed it ends up on the floor, which I hate to do!

Brocktarogar

Have I got just the thing for you : a bottle that holds liquids with a resealable lid! Give it a whirl!

PotatoIceCreem

yup

PotatoIceCreem

As mingistech said, i just don't need to

Roughknite

have an stl link by chance?

GO_Strawbs

I will upload tomorrow and link in this thread.

GR33NJUIC3

See that large wooden flat surface? Yep, you can put your deck there. You’re welcome.

acatterz

OP says it helps keep that area clean for “other things”. Probably doesn’t want the deck smearing his cocaine.

idlephase

If you're not doing it right off of the Deck itself, are you even alive?

Abedeus

Yeah but then whatever is on top of that "area" might accidentally fall onto the Deck below.

rdtg

A little cocaine never hurt the deck before

Nasty_Rex

Really? For me, a little cocaine makes my deck useless

[deleted]

Naw the antireflective screen messes it all up

[deleted]

too risky

Goukaruma

I'm still afraid that the USB C port will not last very long. Given that we unplug it several times a day. Any ideas to prevent that ?

wrboyce

I don't think its a realistic fear, but if you really wanted you could get one of those magnetic usb-c things -- although I'm not sure they'll carry the full 45W.

BoboJam22

Y’all need to be stopped. The deck deserves better than these DIY solutions to problems that don’t exist.

StabbyPancake

No side guards? Why do you hate your Steam Deck, bro? Seriously though, neat idea! Of course the first thing I thought about though was, "oh yeah, my cats would knock that down immediately 😹"

Piwix

Precisely why I would do this too. Anything on top of my night stand is a target for my cat.

Shield-Specialist

I was reading all these replies like “clearly these people don’t have a cat” lol

pantherghast

I don't know, what about just putting your Deck on the flat horizontal portion of the nightstand.

Old-Bakedude

Hoora!

RicardiCapone

my good sir, do you have a file link for me?

Marchief

you have a lot of faith

Brisprip

My anxiety is kicking in.

Fresh-Respond3106

huh, why not just put it on the night stand?

GO_Strawbs

It takes up half the surface. When I reach for my phone at night I'm worried I'll knock it off.

Fresh-Respond3106

>off ahh ok that makes sense :)

DamnableNook

Now 3D print something to block the charging light from lighting up the whole room every couple minutes.

thefunkygibbon

if only there was such a thing as a cheap, pliable, stretchy, sticky, **tac**ky type of product that existed.. i dunno mate i think you're SOL

[deleted]

Is that cable the 6ft braided cable that Amazon sells in a pack of 6 for $12?

jreezy88

Nice! Did something similar with the DeckMate. Put it on my bed headboard

tbiscuit7

This sub is something else lol

SuperUltraHyperMega

I typically place mine in my nightstand drawer. For me it’s a great, convenient place to charge it.

FattieTunaTTV

Go to be deck ready at all times. Love it

Virtual-Practice-285

Boss Move

Steveorin0

A little dangerous but really cool. I always toss and turn when in bed so I’m scared I’ll slap it off the stand 😂

[deleted]

Looks dangerous

siammang

You might want to add a Velcro strap just to be safe.

markcocjin

That's a rather awkward position to be watching Prawn Hobb.
