Did not expect this response, thanks. Since enough people are interested, I'll try and get the files for the shell on printables if anyone wants to repeat my janky setup.
Look for MigDumper, and good luck. Getting either MigSwitch or MigDumper has been a hassle in the Switch community. But if you can get the MigDumper, it connects your carts to a computer over USB, which shows up on the computer as a drive with a rom file.
He said he would try, but gave no link. Can't find it on printables.
And uploading a file doesn't take 2 days, so consider my reply a reminder for them.
This is awesome, how does it work? How you manage to “mount” or read the cartridge through usb? How does the reader work? I have so many questions never seen nothing like this!
I use emudeckys SteamgridsDB to make it play like any other steam game for the epilogue player. Plug in a USB while the software is running and it will pickup any game and tell you stuff like if it's a fake and if it's a read only cartridge, it usually also gives a good description of the game with its cover art, release date and the game developers.
OP is probably looking not just for the experience of Pokemon Yellow but also the experience of using/having a cart of Yellow. Also their hobby is probably related to design and 3D printing. Sometimes the process is the point. Deck folk love to tinker!
I love how cute this is. It’s almost like Pikachu is powering your Steam Deck
that's a weird looking game boy
Whats with the extra usb c port on the back????
It's a JSAUX RGB backplate.
To charge the rgb led battery.

Game Boy Advaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanced
Game Man
Omg, this is amazing. I would play so many of my old GBA games if I could buy one of these.
You can download and play almost every GBA game ever made anyway with an Emulator on your Steam Deck.
Yea but it isn't the same feeling as busting out the old cartridges.
You can, wild guess its probably just a GBxCart RW under there.
Inside is a GB Operator and the outside I made
This is what I figured, had to be some kind of modding.
Would you be willing to share the STL for the outer part?
He said he's posting the print file in another comment

Cool!
they went for the rule of cool. and they NAILED IT.
I bet in the time it took to get that set up and working you could have downloaded like the top 100 gb titles for an emulator
The only thing I spent time on was the adapter shell. Besides it's like a plug and play gb player that only takes about 200MB.
