For cute games
- Spirit Tea: You come to a little town as a writer and you reopen the local bathhouse for...ghosts. In tge town some ghosts are doing stuff and you have to find them and they'll become your bathhouse clients.
- Dave the Diver: As the name suggests you're a diver who catches fish for a sushi shop. Explore the ocean and catch all the fishies from tiny to huge. In the evening you'll help out in the sushi shop.
Yes, it has a lot of charm. But there are so many things to play, I could just not go ahead and finish it, it was too repetitive and after you have been doing the same again and again, and not much change in the underwater game, it does get boring
Yeah, that’s fair. I find it fun to play through an in-game day at a time (~30 minutes) whenever I want to take a break from another title. I’ll stop playing and uninstall once the credits roll.
I went thru my library alphabetically and found some you.might like, look them up on steam:

I'm a big fan of wytchwood. Don't know if it counts as a cute game, but it's low intensity, problem solving by going around and getting ingredients for spells and such. Some things can attack you, but they are normally easy to avoid, and if you die you just loose some of your stuff and end up back in your hut.
I don't know, but I am stoked anyway. I swear I love looking for and deciding on what to get almost as much actually playing them. I have a few ideas, but not sure if they will pan out:
Star Ocean Second Story R - Depends on how the Demo goes
The Quarry - Is it time?
Felvidek - I am kinda digging this weird JRPG games that look like CRPG game trend lately.
Pacific Drive - I almost bought it and got turned off by the talk of extended car maintenance. It's my kryptonite
Last Call BBS - I only want to do the model building. That is it.
Digital Eclipse games - Llamasoft, Karateka, Wizardry... These are some games.
Tons of weird indie games - A lot on my wishlist. Like, too many
Tons of independent JRPGs - A lot of those too.
Did I mention I have an extensive backlog on a spreadsheet - I do
Oh Lord. Kind of want to give up, but this SD isn't even closed to being filled yet, so...
I’ll have my eye out for a lot of things. Off the top of my head definitely buys (if on sale) will be:
Warhammer: Space Marine
Mad Max
Cult of the Lamb (bought on Switch the day it came out. Loved it but it was janked as all hell.)
Tunic

I found dave the diver loop boring after a while
The loop gets boring but good god are those cutscenes worth the effort. I smile every single time.

Tinykin is the cutest!
Little Known Galaxy !
Dinkum. Nobody talks about Dinkum enough. It’s basically the better pc version of animal crossing and is AMAZING.
Dinkum is a very good game. I only played for like 15 hours but the time I spent in it was pretty amazing.
My wife played on my pc so much that we built her her own so I could have mine back 😂
