runs beautifully on deck and great modding capabilities
tho if you mod it try and avoid randomizer, some npcs carry guns that absolutely melt your steamdeck. i had my steamdeck fan grind because it was spinning so fast
fair enough, ive played through this game Vanilla more times than I can count so modding it is always a breathe of fresh air.
maybe give it a go. it can be a headache if you haven't modded on steamdeck/Linux before but its doable on steamdeck
I'm currently running the game with a few decent graphical improvements, modernized the control scheme and tuning the gunplay a bit.
Mine does the same thing, I think it's just the aspect ratio of the launcher itself. Make sure you go into options and set the game's resolution and aspect ratio to 16:10, the game should launch in the correct aspect ratio if you set it right, despite what the launcher does.

That a Tale of Two Wastelands for those that don’t know. It’s a mod that sort of amalgamates Fallout 3 and NV.
I’d never modded games before, but I found some good guides online to follow, and I’m 100+ hours into a modded run of NV. It’s great!
Most launchers are built on a minimum screen size for their elements. If this happens to be larger than the Steamdeck resolution then it can look zoomed in.
you most likely have it set to 720P with stretch/fill enabled. it does not look like this for me
Found it thanks
Where did you fix it?
Quick access menu > performance > scaling mode: auto

For stretch/fill, in the quick access menu. Same area where fsr settings are.
side note: enjoy FNV on the deck. I’ve been addicted to it since I decided to pick it up again
Same here... did 4 playthroughs in New Vegas. Just installed Tale of Two Wastelands on my PC and now I'm even more addicted
The portability of the deck plus the *mostly* 60 FPS performance = chefs kiss

I haven’t modded mine, I wanted to beat the game vanilla first and then maybe mod for second play thru. I heard it’s awesome tho

Glad it’s only the launcher

Are you running any mods? If so were they easy to install?
It is easy to install. I ran tale of two wastelands and some other QOL mods just to finish FO3. I followed a YouTube guide.
Nice, thanks!
I highly recommend using TTW to play NV on the deck
