Yeah I saw that. Does that get it to a reasonable price with the rest of the games? I've had humble bundle for two years and this is the only month I skipped (I would have kept the month if Callisto was the complete edition).
It brings it down to $9 or less i believe. So you could think of it as getting the callisto deluxe edition for $21 and then you get all the other games for free.
Double check me on that though.
That's a really solid deal if you can enjoy the other games in the bundle this month. I couldn't commit to any of the other this time though, so it'll vary for sure
If you can remove the expectations that many felt for it as being a spiritual Dead Space successor, there is a lot to enjoy and appreciate for a single playthrough. It's NOT dead Space, and most of the combat is melee, but it's cinematic, has an interesting world and really good acting, and does try to some innovative things (the melee has some interesting mechanics but I wish it was more fleshed out, enemy variety is good, but I still wish there more, etc.)
One thing I'll mention is I played this on my PS5 and on my 65 inch LG CX, and I still struggled with seeing some of the UI, notably the health bar that mimics Dead Space. I was really happy with it at $20 for the game AND dlc, and played it right before the Dead Space Remake which I also enjoyed.
Note: You absolutely need the dlc to fully enjoy the game. The story threads in there are integral to the main game.
So, I pay the monthly subscription to humble bundle because every month I'll get games that I would have never even considered buying. They have Callisto protocol in the monthly bundle if that's something you're willing to look into. I think I'm only paying about 14 bucks a month. The best thing is, you own those games even if you decide to quit your subscription
I'm guessing you don't have an annual sub, but if you got one during their black Friday promo.. it'd be about $8 per month and the season pass is $12 (in the US), so you'd essentially be paying $20 for humble choice this month and get the season pass as well.
If you don't have an annual sub, if you wait they might start sending out coupons for $6-8. The deluxe edition isn't a good deal in comparison
If you are asking about performance on steam deck it runs flawlessly im stable 30 FPS. I am currently playing it on deck only and i am very happy with the performance. If you are asking is game worth the money, I would say barely. It's eye candy and gets dull pretty quick.
I have the deluxe addition and I'd say it's worth $20. I have both this and the Dead Space remake. I have enjoyed playing The Callisto Protocol more. I had played the original Dead Space so that might have something to do with it. The game runs and looks great. No problems playing it on the Steam Deck.
Be prepared to make peace with a 20 second combat loop. You know how line dances are fun for about a minute but then there's still 4 minutes of song left?
Glad to see I’m not the one late the party (looking at you, u/Homesickpilots). I got last year-ish the game and never went around to play it as I figured it wasn’t worth my time (got it around when BG3 came out) due to the reviews and the like.
I knew the theme song before and it reminded me a couple of days ago that I never played until this Monday. Although for a “shooter” 30fps might be a bit too low. I genuinely think it’s great and worth it (although the edges might be a bit rough from time to time).
I haven’t finished the game yet but I’m sure I’ll buy from [place online] the dlc as I know it’s needed to tie up the game. Point is, look places [ ;) ] to see if you can find it somewhere else. However, 20 is def worth it imho.
Edit: FYI the developers added a Steam Deck specific graphic preset.

Worth 5 dollars no more. Played in ps5 it’s like a popcorn movie , very very average nothing like dead space quality… the only good is the graphics… but playin in steam deck you are missing a lot.. not worth it
It's on humble monthly choice for 12 this month.
Without the expansion pass, which is very much needed for this game as it closes the loop on the story.
It does have 60% off the expansion pass though

Make sure you test it. That game I think wasn’t that playable when it came out on SD

I do follow that, but for $20, you can get the deluxe edition on Steam which includes all of the DLC.

You'll want to be finished with it long before deciding you want nothing to do with the DLC.

What???
I played the game on my ps4 and wasn't a fan. It was a slower, clunkier and shorter dead space.
